Overall I have been very pleased. As someone that covers finance, payroll and HR its important to have a system that make life easier and saves time which PeopleHR does. Updating policies has been a breeze and within minutes the policy can be adjusted to reflect law changes and immediately be available for employees to view on the app or PC. As mentioned holiday and sickness records are kept accurate and run more efficiently. #### Ratings breakdown - Ease of use: 5/5 - Value for money: 5/5 - Customer support: 4/5 - Functionality: 5/5 #### Pros PeopleHR is great value for money - for a small monthly fee we have a secure, easy to use place to keep all HR related documents, policies as well as being able to log holiday's and engage with our team. The leave management element has made it easy for employees to request holiday and then for their manages to check already booked holiday to be able to approve or reject in a push of a button. The app then allows colleagues to view their teams holiday, so they can work around this and make work performance efficient. The system allows you to store data in a easy and confidential way, GDPR was easy because of this as it allowed us to go completely paperless #### Cons Our company is 24 hours, so it was difficult for using the tap in/tap out system as this product works more on a traditional office environment. One of the standout features is the Digital Assistant, which is incredibly helpful for resolving issues and finding information quickly. It significantly reduces the need to contact support for routine queries, although its availability is currently restricted to a small number of administrators within our organisation. Another major strength is the Ripples workflow automation tool. Once configured, it can automate complex HR processes, reducing manual administration and improving consistency. While there is a learning curve and ongoing training is required to make the most of it, the flexibility and efficiency gains are well worth the investment. The Query Builder is also excellent. The ability to create detailed reports and export data directly to Excel makes HR reporting straightforward and highly adaptable to business needs. In addition, Access PeopleHR's customer support team has consistently been responsive, knowledgeable, and helpful whenever assistance has been required. More recently, we have also experienced an increase in system lag and occasional crashes, which can be frustrating during busy periods and impact productivity. This streamlines our internal payroll process particularly when onboarding new starters and paying expenses. The software enables us to centralise all our HR functions providing managers the tools required to manage absences, approve requests and review employee performance. The system is also very user friendly and we have been able to build an engaging dashboard tailored to information we want to highlight to staff alongside quick links to the PeopleHR platform. #### Cons There are some functions such as notifications, return to work forms and TOIL which could be improved. Such things have been recorded on the ideas board which is a great function in theory however things appear to have been on there a longtime with a lot of votes without being actioned. The AI chat box also sends us round in circles so we find it easier to go directly to the team which completed out initial training for any questions we have on the system which is not ideal for anyone. The system is easy to navigate for all users, the reporting and analytics dashboard is excellent and allows us to make data-informed decisions, and the customer support is another real strength. Of course, like any system, there are some areas for improvement, such as the lack of a clear way to manage data retention. However, Access provides customers with a portal to submit product feedback, meaning the system is continually evolving to better meet customer needs. The system is clearly laid out and user-friendly, which makes it straightforward for employees and HR teams to find the information and functions they need. I also find the self-service functionality particularly useful. Employees can update much of their own information and upload documents, such as qualifications, directly onto the system. This reduces the administrative workload for HR and gives employees greater ownership over keeping their information up to date. Another feature I really value is the automation functionality, known as Ripples. By setting up Ripples, we can automate many repetitive HR processes, such as onboarding tasks and probation reviews. This saves time, improves consistency and allows the HR team to focus on more valuable, people-focused activities rather than manual administration. #### Cons Access PeopleHR is a really helpful HRIS with many strengths. One area I feel is missing, however, is a built-in data retention function. Data retention is an important part of HR compliance, and it would be beneficial to have functionality that clearly identifies when documents or employee information have reached or exceeded their retention period. There are workarounds using hotsheet reports and ripples for active employees, but Ripples cannot run on leavers. We have also automated processes such as time-off, Working-from-Anywhere, and TOIL requests. This has created a simpler and more consistent experience for our global team and our managers. It has also given me as Senior HRBP, more reliable people data and freed up my time to focus on strategic priorities and act as a true business partner. The customer support is another positive. The 24/7 AI support is useful for quick questions, with human support available when we need more specific guidance. #### Cons As a small business, some of the platform’s features can feel more extensive than we need. It also takes time and effort to understand the system and configure it around your processes before you can get the most from it.
