Meets my needs

Pros

After learning where to access what I need (timekeeping, requesting PTO, managing and approving my team's timecards), it is reliable, quick, and easy.

Cons

There is too much information on each page and so many different buttons to click. I think the user interface could be simplified and it would be more intuitive and easier to learn initially.

ADP

Pros

I like that there is a single origin where I can get all of my employer and employment information.

Cons

The application is very clunky and not very intuitive.

5 Stars All Around

Regardless of the con listed above, this was an outlying issue, and the overall quality and customer service of this organization has been amazing.

Pros

There are too many pros to write about here. From being able to print off past statements, to being able to view current and past benefits this is an amazing program. The customer service has always been amazing to work with.

Cons

The only issue that I have ever had with them was trying to get a tax issue on my paycheck resolved, there was a lack of communication on the part of customer service, and it took much too long to get the issue resolved.

Throw that Excel spreadsheet away and pick up this

Pros

Before, we were tracking hours by using excel. TotalSource made everything really easy. I am not able to track hours, OT, payroll and benefits.

Cons

I have no real con about this software other than the customer service. It is sometime really hard to get in contact with anyone when help is needed.

Terrible Service and Software

ADP contractually agrees to many things and then does not do them, from processing payroll and employees do not get paid, to promising short-term disability is available when it is not, to not reporting wages to the state and causing the employer to be out of compliance with a statutory filing. I cannot say enough bad things about this sorry company. If you are considering ADP as your PEO, PLEASE RUN TO ANOTHER PEO.

Pros

There is nothing I like about ADP. Nothing.

Cons

Poorly designed, old legacy system that ADP wrongly believes can serve as an on-line platform.

Good HR program, but a little glitchy

Pros

This software has an app, which makes it easy for employees to clock in/out. It works great for time cards and time off management. Also, the HR support for benefits is outstanding!

Cons

Sometimes the app doesn't work or the web login is a little glitchy.

ADP TotalSource - cumbersome but inclusive

Good product overall, but there is a learning curve

Pros

Administrators are able to adjust, edit, or update anything. Assigning managers and time card approvers is easy, and time off requests live in a portal - that way if one manager is covering for another it is easy for them access and approve.

Cons

Many features are not intuitive to find and some updates require changes in 2 or 3 completely different areas. Customer service is ok, not great. They'll help you quickly but do not always fix the problem on the first or second try.

User Friendly Human Resources Tool!

We use ADP Total Source to keep track of all of our human resources needs.

Pros

ADP Total Source is really easy to use. I am able to quickly and easily manage my employees timecards and yearly reviews and it takes all of the guess work out of the process for me. I love that it alerts me if something doesn't look right or when things are changed or become due.

Cons

There are still a lot of functions that are available that I do not know how to use. The scheduling part is a little confusing so I don't use it.

Is a PEO right for you?

Our rep assigned to our account has been great. She’s very responsive and helpful when I have questions about how to access data, or in general, the process is a line with using the system/service.

Pros

When you are a small company, this software or arrangement makes. I’m not sure there’s anything I particularly like most about the system itself, what I like most is what you get out of the value of this court under using TotalSource.

Cons

Offers very basic functionality, not a lot of detailed Historical data, decent standard report but trying to pull custom mise report is not user-friendly. As our company grows, keeping a PEO become very cost prohibitive. If you are a small organization and don’t have the internal resources to manage HR, that it makes more sense.

A HR Generalists Dream

I was with the company when we made the transition over ADP and it was a huge change but it made normal day to day tasks easier and especially helped with time off/ vacation pay, and benefit compliance.

Pros

I loved being able to keep track of all my employee payroll, time off, benefits and calendars in one place. I had been working with a much simpler software system before we made the transition and it was honestly like night and day. We had an issue with not being able to completely track employee time off so some employees were taking more vacation time than they had earned and with ADP it was so much easier to track all employee hours.

Cons

The only real complaint I have is the time it takes to complete certain tasks. I would rather it be careful and thorough but sometimes it can be time consuming

Worst Customer Service

Worst customer service ever. Have to call multiple times to get an answer and 95% of the time they give you completely incorrect information. I would never trust ADP again. Read the actual policy documents; don't rely on your benefits "experts" to know anything.

Pros

I like that I can view my paychecks and their breakdown.

Cons

Many features have no information in them. I'm guessing it is because my company has elected not to use them or input the information, but either way, I think they should be disabled to the employee if they do not apply. They also should upload more information on your individual policies. It was like pulling teeth trying to get details on my 401k and disability benefits.
