Apploye provided the monitoring and time tracking features we needed without the cost of some of the larger platforms. I also found the web dashboard clean and easy to navigate, especially when reviewing activity reports and timesheets. The offline time tracking was another useful feature. Between two demos and two trials, I spent 4+ hours of time that was entirely avoidable if sales had been transparent about limitations around tasks even though I was exceptionally clear that without a decent import from Asana, including tasks/subtasks and due dates, the software wouldn't work for our business. #### Ratings breakdown - Ease of use: 3/5 - Value for money: 3/5 - Customer support: 2/5 - Functionality: 2/5 #### Pros The two demos and multiple sales support interactions via chat were friendly and fairly responsive. #### Cons During the sales demos and my two subsequent trials, I directly asked about specific facets of the Asana integration like support for subtasks. I also mentioned that during my first trial the task due dates didn't seem to import. I was given friendly reassurances and placating words which led me to waste more hours of myself and another member of my team to set up a second demo, only to discover that tasks are very limited and as far as we can tell, only support a creation date and not a due date. In addition, task status did not import via the Asana integration, so Apploye showed ~82,000 open tasks. In addition, I ran into sporadic error notifications during testing (creating the second trial and setting up billing rates for a test project) that impeded my efforts to test the system to confirm it meets our needs. #### Reasons for switching to Apploye We ended up unable to make the switch, despite a much lower price point for Apploye and dissatisfaction with Timeneye's reliability. #### Vendor response Thank you for taking the time to share your experience, and we sincerely apologize for the inconvenience and frustration caused. We teach kids Robotics and Coding classes and I have an army of teachers who deliver classes online and at different schools cross Canada. Before Aployee we didn’t have visibility on any of our teachers. Trust is good but we wanted to be able to verify on teachers work and mobility from time to time. Now all our teachers are using Apploye and we can report on their locations to make sure what time did they arrive to schools that they have to teach at. Also Apploye hives us random screenshot on screens of teachers delivering remote classes. Now we can compare the productivity and utilization of our teachers and plan accordingly. Our total productivity grew by 28% in less than a year. I like how it tracks my time and my employees and subcontractors because it includes things like screenshots, time allotment, etc. It also has the GPS tracking so that I know I can trust the time my remote workers enter. The scheduling is a nice feature so I can balance workload and resources. I can even run reports and payroll from the app which makes it really convenient and I don't have to use separate apps for that. #### Cons There is nothing really I dislike about it. It made things simple to see. The stats were clean and ready to access from a simple dashboard. #### Cons Apployee did have some downsides. The main was the screenshot tool - employees could feel uncomfortable with this, and honestly, no worker is going to be 100% productive during their hours.
