Betterteam is a cloud-based applicant tracking system (ATS) for small and midsize enterprises. Primary features include applicant sourcing, applicant tracking, a job-ad builder, email inbox management and job boards.

It allows users to post jobs on various job boards and advertise them on Indeed, Monster, LinkedIn, SimplyHired and other websites. It provides a complete view of candidate credentials on a single screen that recruiters can review.

Betterteam can accept online applications, track candidates and manage email communications. The drag-and-drop designer and pre-built templates allows users to create job ads. It offers integration with Gmail, Yahoo, Microsoft, Outlook and other email clients.

It is available for purchase on a monthly subscription basis. Android and iOS mobile applications are also offered. Support is offered via phone and email.

It did exactly what we needed it to do at a fair price.

Pros

It was incredibly easy to start up for our small business. Other sites charge a hefty fee for a single post which generally gets buried in spam.

This simplified our hiring process. We were able to reach a much larger pool of qualified candidates. I appreciated the ability to set up a corporate account and with multiple postings. We also set up an internal email to distribute where the responses filtered which made it easy for management review. It worked great and we will defiantly use Betterteam for future postings.

Pros

The mobile version w/ Like/Decline feature allowed me to quickly rate candidates for follow up. Support staff were readily available via instant chat. They provided immediate email confirmation to changes when chat was completed. Quality of applicants has greatly improved using this service.

Cons

I did not have any issues using the software. A few times, there was overlapping information showing on home screen but easy to navigate around.

Easy to use and large number of responses because the ad goes to various places. Can add and drop easily.

Cons

Nothing negative to add. The software works well, the only function that I need to fine tune is to screen out more applicants that do not meet the minimum requirements.

Cons

The response we got was meager from time to time. Occasionally we need more responses from the job market in order to make a reasonable selection.

Resumes are pushed through via email to your inbox. You do not have to manage it through an online portal like many other sites.

Cons

I found it very easy to use and convenient. Don't really have any critiques. Maybe incorporate a way for employees to filter through potential applications by criterion.

There was nothing especially onerous about using the software. The responses come right into your mailbox so no need to go to the site and the resumes all have phone numbers and emails---easy peasy

Pros

easy to use, good customer service, no cost (I used the free trial). I had so many responses that no need to extend. Most are local, and candidates seem to have relevant qualifications

Save time and money, get good candidates... basically what I was looking for.

Pros

I am very busy as covering multiple roles, so I can dedicate limited time to hiring, even this is clearly important for my business. This tool allows me to save time and money. Support is fast and kind. I really had no issues in getting a dozen of qualified candidates in a couple of days, that is very good result.

Easy to use, Up front pricing, no pays per click. Candidates were local to the position and not states away like some competing sites match with. Easy to connect with candidate. No logging on required to view resume.

Cons

Candidates didn't match or meet requirements. We had truck drivers applying for a position of journeyman electrician. Not many applicants. Would be nice to see how many sites our ad hit and the click through rate.

It's a great software platform that does what it says. No extra bells and whistles that just just get in the way. The most important part is the custom service that is second to none. This is a smaller company focusing on customer service, yet maximizing the "power" of the big guys like Indeed or Monster.

I've got a good number of potential applicants to interview. It was easy to use and made reviewing potential applicants resumes a smooth process.

Pros

You get not only a simple, easy to use interface and dashboard but the applications are emailed as well. I like that you can easily Like or Dislike and go on to the next resume.

Cons

I'd like to see the ability to rank your "Liked" applications as well. I noticed that my job post was edited and I would like to have been able to approve the edits before posted. There were a few applicants whose resumes didn't post, I don't know if that was the applicants error or the software.

It is sad though that so many applicants have poor writing and grammar skills. Most seemed to think a cover letter is a waste of time I guess. A competent potential employee should use this opportunity to introduce themselves to the prospective employer. This is critical in my opinion.

Provided qualified candidates in a quick manner

Pros

Only having to go through one company to post on so many different job postings. I think the value is definitely there. Super fast turnaround time for CS chat as well and very professional.

We will be back next time we have a position to post. We had a CS position posted for about two weeks on Glassdoor and Indeed through our candidate tracking system, and we only got in a couple of qualified candidates. So with Betterteam, the number of qualified applicants into our pipeline increased significantly.

Cons

It does take a few days to get setup, so I would be more prepared for that next time, since it took a few days of our trial period. I wasn't understanding about having a posting through Indeed, but it worked it's way out with CS.
