CareerPlug provides recruiting and HR software solution that includes applicant tracking and paperless onboarding. With the tools to attract and evaluate candidates, hiring managers are able to make their process more consistent to ultimately make better hiring decisions.

CareerPlug begins with candidate experience, automatically distributing job postings to job boards including Indeed, and building a branded careers page. 

Using a custom job builder, companies can ensure applicants are qualified for their opportunities by including custom prescreen questions.  This helps users sort and score applications to quickly identify top candidates.

Users manage this process on the Applicants page, where they can take advantage of other tools, such as unlimited assessments to screen candidates.  

CareerPlug’s paperless onboarding takes the next step, transitioning new hires to productive employees.  The software allows users to build onboarding checklists and convert paper forms to electronic documents with a PDF form builder.

Good for multiple users and locations

Pros

I like Careerplug because you can use it for multiple locations and users. We can post a job and access just our own applicants or those from neighboring spots. New option to post/boost on Indeed is a good improvement.

Cons

A little difficult to navigate if someone applies for multiple jobs or had a prior interview. Clunky but good value.

Awesome for managing your recruiting

Pros

Helps us manager all of our applicants and keep us updated throughout the hiring process. Also very user friendly and easy on the eyes. Nice to be able to pay an annual fee instead of per job.

Cons

I have no complaints about this product. They keep updating it, but seem to make it simple to learn any changes ans has been well tested before implementation.

Switched and haven't looked back

very pleased with this ATS so far. We were told there would be two way texting soon, so really looking forward to that.

Pros

mobile optimized for applicants and all users, applicant flow has increased without spend on job boards

Cons

it is user friendly for sure, just a few tweaks with the user experience would be beneficial, ease of navigation

Career Plug - A Pipeline for Hiring

Pros

Career plug allows you to configure their plugin in many different ways. It also allows you to embed the the job listing directly into a web page very easily after configuration.

Cons

Most of the difficulties I have experienced with Career plug stem from formatting issues related to the html plugin. We are not always able to customize as much as we would like but the ease of use more than off-sets this.

Highly Recommended and Bang for your buck!

I love the customization of my companies page and the innovative and unique setup for all the brands under our umbrella

Pros

This product is extremely easy to use and it does so much! It understands recruiting and on-boarding and it is likely to become our main source for sourcing.

Cons

Although this product is very satisfying, during the first month or couple of weeks it would be nice if there were more customer service reps or account managers to answer quick questions. An online chat for questions would be helpful as well.

Pros

Product is very user friendly & welcoming to the eyes. There have been a few enhancements that have improved the functionality of the platform quite a bit. Although an applicant may apply several times throughout the year it groups everything together. Customer service is super!

Cons

When an applicant completes an application one time, if they aren't selected & come back a year later & try to apply their original application is still in the system & can't be updated.

So easy to use, jumped in without the training and just hired my first candidate!

So glad I paid the small fee to use this service. Others I know have been paying thousands to hire and CareerPlug was so easy and comprehensive. It allowed me to filter through applicants using the test results, response times to emails or no response at all, and generally how their resumes and applications were laid out. With that, I could send rejection emails without spending too much time on each one. Will be using CareerPlug for my next hires for sure! Thanks for having this service available! James

Easy to use. Testing was very informative. Benchmarking team to compare to applicants was a must. Prefilled emails for each stage. Recommendations from time to time were helpful. Provided tailored interview questions for phone and in person, including a scoring system. Low cost.

Cons

Small system glitch in which I was not able to send emails directly from CareerPlug and was forced to send from my Outlook. This was fixed within a short period of time.

Easy to use and streamlined hiring process.

Pros

Being able to easily track applicant communication, easy to learn and use. Saves us money since we pay one annual fee instead of paying per job posting each month. Customer support is very responsive and helpful.

Cons

Not as visually appealing as some of the other applicant tracking systems I've used, but they are constantly making updates so I am confident this will improve over time. Not really a huge issue since we are saving money and it still gets the job done as far as applicant tracking goes.

Very functional Software.Very Helpful Team!

The Software offers features for sorting and assessing applicants which are fantastic. Surprisingly, it allows us to craft ads and post them from within Carrerplug.The support team who we have dealt with has been absolutely Fantastic! Patient, Helpful and sincere. Great Asset!
The cost is a terrific value for what is included. We got the HR and onboarding package. This makes our work so much easier and having all these documents in one place rather than emailing back and forth to applicants/hires is helpful.

Cons

Although it has a TON of features the UI, I feel, could be more intuitive. Make buttons for functions not just small text links placed in less than intuitive places. Software should allow for objectives (reviewing applicants, changing text etc) in a simplified way. Too much clicking around to learn. By redesigning this should lessen the contact with your (great) customer service team.

I was very pleased to participate in testing the applicant software for CareerPlug. It's very intuitive, easy to use, and reaches more credible job seekers than other sites and sifting through emails of career inquiries. There is a great balance between ease of use and features finding the most qualified candidates via the Personality Assessments that makes the hiring process effective and completed immediately. Their unparalleled support addressed issues (if any) quickly and assisted with customizing new job ads perfect for the gym. Cutting down on the time spent filtering through each applicant has been one of the most important features for me. We are all very busy teaching classes and running a business. Not only has CareerPlug met that expectation, but also has excellent service with an easy to learn, quality system. I highly recommend using CareerPlug to recruit the best candidates that will exemplify who we are as a company and in turn, be an amazing My Gym teacher!

Pros

CareerPlug keeps things in a centralized location with the Personality Assessment Scores, Applicant Profiles, Resumes, and Pre-screen Scores all on the same page!

Cons

A feature I would like to see modified is to make the email responses from the hiring manager to the applicant via the applicant profile page. We see the responses from the applicant, but it would be nice to reply immediately through their profile.
