Pros/Cons
  • Pros

  • One of their competitors has some nice offerings, but we found that they were mostly for larger companies with more employees than we have. Gusto seemed a perfect fit for our size and our budget.
  • The simplicity and ease of setting it up and using everyday is a big plus. The detailed instructions and guides about state laws is fantastic.
  • Cons

  • Even after having an account with the company, I was unable to log into the android version. I was confused to whether the app even had anything to do with the company.
  • The problems continued into this year - anytime I had a problem, it consistently took waaaaaay to much time to get a response from someone who could actually fix my problem.

  • Interaction with others on our team is easy to conduct and take action, respond. Reporting to client is clean and efficient.
  • When you post your role and integrate it with your careers site, the job posting looks very clean. This will do the job if you don't have to do high volume recruiting.
  • Cons

  • The search tool can sometimes be very aggravating. If I search for an individual/candidate's name, the system takes too long to process and pull something up or sometimes it doesn't pull anything up.
  • In many cases, one would think that is one day, but they work on 8 hour days, which equates to 3 business days, unacceptable.
