Great candidate search tool!

Indeed has been amazing at saving me time in sorting through potential candidates and the functionality has allowed me to be very specific in searching for candidate skill sets.

Pros

My experience has been that I’m able to find a deep and varied talent pool from which to seek candidates. I suspect some of this is due to the name recognition and broad use.

Cons

Although not my own experience, I’ve heard other users complain that the free version has limited access to details.

Reasons for Switching to Indeed

I used both platforms for a bit of time but it wasn’t long before I used Indeed exclusively. Honestly, the strength and tenure of new hires that I sourced from Indeed told the story....better candidates, better hires, better business decision!!

Our Go-To Job Board for Hires

Other than our inconsistencies with our previous account team, our experience has been as expected. Indeed is our go-to job board that we can count on to produce a hire.

Pros

Indeed is easy to use and their tracking/analytic data has improved over the years. I am extremely hands on and like to set up, pause, delete our own sponsored job campaigns which they allow you to do. Finally was able to get our jobs scraped from our ATS Greenhouse onto Indeed so we do not have to manually post jobs anymore (THANK GOODNESS!). We hire about 30% of our employees from indeed.

Cons

Customer Support/Account Managers! Worked with our previous account manager for the last 4 years. He seemed spread too thin and was never my go-to for quick responses to questions I had about our account. He would consistently send e-mails about touching base and go unresponsive after we would respond about times we were available for a call. On multiple occasions we would have a call scheduled, would log into call only to sit on the line for 10 minutes with not response back or even get a follow-up "sorry we missed each other" e-mail. About 1.5 years ago he introduced our account to his Client Success Manager and she was always my go-to for anything I needed! She was wonderful! Due to Covid-19 they have shifted accounts and we now have a new account manager who is super responsive so we are very excited to be working with someone new!

Reasons for Choosing Indeed

We ultimately use Indeed over all the other job board sources as Indeed can consistently produce a hire for us over other sources. LinkedIn Jobs and ZipRecruiter have been very unsuccessful sources for us as far as job boards are concerned.

I tried others. I came back to Indeed

I've tried multiple other job board sites, including ones specific to my industry. None of them produced the number of and quality of candidates that Indeed has. About half my staff, if not more, were located through Indeed.

Pros

Indeed consistently gets my job openings in front of job seekers, and their tools make is really easy to screen candidates. Their "assessments" feature is my favorite thing they offer besides the wide audience looking for jobs.

Cons

I don't dislike any feature of Indeed. Perhaps, if anything, there are too many options for simple job listings, but I simply opt out of those if I don't need them. If I had any criticism at all, it's them trying to contact me all the time to help me with my job listings. I get tons and tons of emails and phone calls from sales associates within the company wanting to "help me improve my job listings". Thanks, but no thanks. I prefer to keep it self-serve. To the point where I blocked emails and phone calls from their company.

Reasons for Choosing Indeed

I tried ZipRecruiter and was disappointed so I quickly came back. Indeed does everything I need and more.

Not Price Effective

Indeed used to be great! However Indeed has just turned into a big bidding war, it seems you have to be willing to pay more and more each time for per click to get to the top of the list, which is unfortunate for small business's with limited budgets. Your job ads can not say plural words in the tile and body of the position descriptions, when all other applicant sites we use allow plural words/rates/locations in the description and title. This is frustrating and it seems like Indeed is hiking up it's prices left and right, and Indeed has just become to competitive price wise for our business to use it anymore. Indeed used to be our #1 site to go to, now we can not afford to use Indeed which is a bummer, because it did bring in a lot of traffic for us!

Pros

Indeed brought us lots of resume traffic, it definitely beat out other competitor sites as far as results and getting resumes and applicants though the door! Indeed is a well known name and the site is very easy to navigate!

Cons

Indeed was not easy to keep track of resumes that had been submitted, and I did not like that Indeed has so many restrictions on your job posts.

Reasons for Choosing Indeed

At the time Indeed was the most cost effective. Now Indeed is the most expensive and we no longer use it due to the price.

Best candidate recruiting tool.

To be honest, It is the best job posting platform that I have used till now. On other platforms, I used to receive a lot of spam and unnecessary emails. And it has allowed me to find specifically skilled candidates.

Pros

I have been using Indeed for years. Firstly I found my first job from indeed itself. Afterward, I am using it for finding capable and qualified candidates for my firm. To be honest, I have used many tools for recruiting candidates but I found Indeed to be more productive and legit. Indeed is user-friendly and their tracking data has improved over the years.

Cons

I don't think there has been an incident where I had to complain about it but it's just that indeed has too many restrictions for a job posting.

Reasons for Switching to Indeed

The candidates that I hired from Indeed were way more skilled and qualified.
