# Lattice User Reviews

## Reviews summary

- Overall rating: 4.5/5
- Total reviews: 207

### Secondary ratings

- Ease of use: 4.5/5
- Customer support: 4.5/5
- Value for money: 4.4/5
- Functionality: 4.3/5

### Rating distribution

- 5 stars: 123 reviews (59%)
- 4 stars: 68 reviews (33%)
- 3 stars: 12 reviews (6%)
- 2 stars: 3 reviews (1%)
- 1 star: 1 reviews (0%)

### Most mentioned pros

- it keeps performance conversations structured and consistent—goals, feedback, and reviews are all in one place, so nothing gets lost across chats or docs.
- The integrations with other tools save time, and the customization options mean we can tailor surveys and reviews to our exact needs
- Posting updates helped me make my work visible and track progress over time, and that directly helped when it came to promotions and performance conversations.

### Most mentioned cons

- Some workflows (goals, check-ins, review steps) can feel click-heavy and time-consuming, especially when you’re just trying to make a small update quickly
- I feel that there's almost too much capability in terms of tying goals back to each other-- they just get twisted around in circles instead of a nice hierarchy, which I believe is the desired outcome.
- My only dislike about Lattice is setting up meetings. Since I am used to using Microsoft Outlook's calendar for all my meeting set-ups, I sometimes get confused when I am unable to link my meeting in Outlook with my meeting in Lattice.

It has been positive because it brings structure and consistency to performance conversations—goals, feedback, and reviews are all captured in one place, which makes it easier to stay aligned on expectations and track progress over time. ### A Helpful System for Visibility and Recognition

- Product usage: Used weekly for less than 2 years
- Reviewed: February 2026
- Review source details: This reviewer was invited by us to submit an honest review and offered a nominal incentive as a thank you.

Overall, my experience with Lattice was positive. It worked best as a system of record for accomplishments, feedback, and recognition. When used consistently, it made work more visible, encouraged accountability, and supported growth conversations. Like most tools, its effectiveness depended on how intentionally it was used by managers and teams.

#### Ratings breakdown

- Ease of use: 4/5
- Value for money: 3/5
- Customer support: 3/5
- Functionality: 4/5

#### Pros

It was nice having a clear system to regularly share what I was working on and what I had accomplished each week. Posting updates helped me make my work visible and track progress over time, and that directly helped when it came to promotions and performance conversations. I also really liked that Lattice was connected to Slack. Being able to give teammates praise publicly and receive praise in return made recognition feel natural and timely instead of forced or delayed.

#### Cons

At times, parts of Lattice felt a bit rigid and process-heavy. Some workflows seemed more about checking a box than having a meaningful conversation, especially if the team was already aligned. Notifications could also pile up and start to feel noisy, which made it easier to tune them out.

#### Ratings breakdown

- Ease of use: 4/5

#### Pros

Lattice has been a great tool to help manage the team, have effective communication as a group, and individually, conduct performance reviews, and give the team a greater sense that the company truly cares about their development as employees.

#### Cons

I think the thing that is most challenging about Lattice is that many of the feature are great, but the pricing for them outweighs the potential benefit given the size of our organization.

Lattice has been the premier performance management tool that we have used as a company. They are continuously rolling out new features, have prioritized AI functionality, and have a really great customer support team to help us with all of our questions along the way.

#### Ratings breakdown

- Ease of use: 5/5
- Value for money: 4/5
- Customer support: 5/5
- Functionality: 5/5

#### Pros

The customization of question templates and review cycles has been such a pro. We've appreciated the ability to customize permission profiles. The user experience and interface are really easy to follow, and their recent AI phone functionality for review writing and search bar questions is a big time-saver.

#### Cons

We integrate Lattice with Rippling (our HRIS), and there are some limitations with custom fields for demographic data that will sync between the two systems. Additionally, Lattice doesn't have automated reminders for manual review cycles.

### A nice way of showing you care

Overall, I love lattice and I use it absolutely every week. I love seeing the feedback I received, and I also appreciate the exceptional work my colleagues do and that's a way of spending a few minutes and shouting out the good things they have done.

#### Ratings breakdown

- Ease of use: 4/5
- Value for money: 5/5
- Customer support: 5/5
- Functionality: 4/5

#### Pros

I'm gonna be honest and say that the best feature offered by Lattice by far is the feedback that you can provide and receive. Depending on your team and your own performance, you can end up having a library of impressive feedbacks showing your commitment to your work or to your team. It is a great way of building up morale and also it is easier to get a pay rise when you have literally hundreds of good feedbacks about your work ethics.

#### Cons

Lattice tries to do a little bit of everything and sometimes it comes short. For instance, after a review with my manager, the platform try to create a checklist of everything that has been discussed and prepares that for the next week. In a lot of ways, it is a positive, but for some reason, it feels like it comes up short.

It is a great tool, easy to use and simple to set up. The Lattice team is incredible and always available to help troubleshoot, set up and guide us whenever the need arises.

#### Ratings breakdown

- Ease of use: 4/5
- Customer support: 5/5
- Functionality: 4/5

#### Pros

The survey feature is a great tool for our company. We use this to gain valuable insights into the sentiments of employees regularly over the year. We also make use of the reviews feature twice a year to conduct our performance feedback cycles. These are wonderful tools for managers who have all the previous feedback, 1:1s, updates and other data from Lattice at hand when completing their performance reviews.

#### Cons

I find the data quite difficult to navigate with certain features. Some of the analytics are really amazing, and the info we get from the surveys is really wonderful. However, when it comes to more intricate reporting Lattice doesn't make it easy to find the data I am looking for. For example, figuring out which managers have not yet completed their downwards reviews.

Lattice is a great tool, but some setting it up can be confusing and you really need managers to see the value in these features and buy in to get high utilization.

#### Ratings breakdown

- Ease of use: 4/5
- Functionality: 5/5

#### Pros

For performance management + employee engagement, their features are super helpful. Reviews, Feedback, 1:1s, and Grow offer a lot of great features to identify, record, and improve performance of each employee. All the features tie into one another so it's really comprehensive. The Engagement feature is great for administering surveys to gather feedback + build action plans, which you can do within the platform as well. They also just rolled out AI in their platform which is pretty cool.

#### Cons

Setting up the platform or trying to navigate it is at times confusing and not intuitive - for example, it requires a few extra clicks to get where you want to be, or if you want to change a specific option you may have to upload a spreadsheet instead of there just being a setting, etc. Not the end of the world but like I said can be confusing. It's also pricier than other options out there.

### Great Tool for Company Performance Reviews

It seems there are several useful tools available to both supervisors and direct reports on Lattice, but it's unclear, at least at first glance, exactly what all these tools are, or how to best use them. Because of this, my company mainly only uses Lattice for performance review purposes. Perhaps more time spent watching tutorial videos could help us to better understand the other uses for Lattice, but I can't say the product as is fosters an immediate understanding of the full capability of the software.

#### Ratings breakdown

- Ease of use: 5/5
- Functionality: 5/5

#### Pros

Lattice is an excellent tool when it comes to issuing and completing performance reviews within a given company. Within my company specifically, department heads and supervisors are able to easily issue a set of questions to their direct reports with ease, choosing either a written or number-based response option for each question. Past performance reviews are saved within the system and available to both the supervisor and the direct report, in order to reflect back on past performance reviews and track growth. And there is a "Weekly Update" feature, which prompts you to reflect on your week. This is especially useful when filling out performance reviews, as the weekly updates you've written throughout the past months or year give you a more detailed summary of your performance over a large span of time.

#### Cons

The user interface is a bit confusing, in that it's not immediately clear what each tab on the Web sidebar does, or what information it contains. When you navigate to the "People" tab, you're able to view individual people, teams, and the full company, as well as milestones, company updates, and OKRs. But there is also another separate tab for OKRs available in the sidebar. The organization of the interface seems that it could certainly be a bit more streamlined, and clear, and perhaps explanations of what each tab is for and how to use it could enable users to better utilize its tools.

### Lattice - a robust performance management tool, best in it's class!

I highly recommend lattice for an org of any size. For our org (under 200) it's taking away a lot of the manual work that we would have had to do without it. The implementation is relatively hands off, so it hasn't been too much of a strain on our small HR team.

#### Ratings breakdown

- Ease of use: 5/5
- Value for money: 5/5
- Customer support: 5/5
- Functionality: 5/5

#### Pros

The best thing we've experienced so far is the customer support. Best i've had had with an HR platform! Our dedicated support rep is available (with a back up) for as many demos or trainings as we need for our HR staff, leadership, or managers. They also have a chat feature for quick questions! As for the tool itself - really great performance management system. We also use their engagement survey function and Grow. Grow allows us to create competencies and career tracks across any teams, as well as pair our career development with continuous feedback conversations. This has added great value to our org, since this was cited as a missing feature of our previous performance reviews. We're super happy with how the feature has added value to our org and increased our employee engagement and satisfaction!

#### Cons

We preferred the engagement survey function in culture amp, but only slightly. Lattice does the trick, but is some functionality from culture amp that we miss (assessing how important certain factors are, better ability to sort departments within the system and not just as an integration/data flow from HRIS, customization, making changes after the survey out - to name a few.) The questions are very applicable though.

#### Cons

I don't have any complaints about Lattice thus far. It has been a great platform and addition to the business. The broader team also seems to feel the same.

#### Pros

Having a central place to manage 1:1s and performance reviews is an improvement to managing those functions in a more ad hoc manner (i.e. in documents, note taking apps, etc.)

#### Cons

1) The ability to sync action items from 1:1s or goals to other task management applications. Not being able to do so creates duplicate system management issues to have a consolidated to-do list. 2) The ability document ad hoc meetings in addition to recurring 1:1s, using the 1:1 template and functionality. 3) The ability to more easily manage OKRs, including the ability to sort and make bulk updates.
