Seamless Payroll and Retirement

It is fit for purpose so I have no real complaints.

Pros

It is secure
It is easy to use
Has all of my old w2s

Cons

Having to answer a text to login for the 2 factor authentication can get a bit annoying when wanting to simply check my pay stub.

Paychex

Moderate. It was good for what we needed it for.

Pros

I work in public accounting and It did what we needed it to do. We used it just to log our hours. We did not use it to log billable bourse. I wish we did in fact see what all the capabilities it had to offer!

Cons

The asthetics I personally did not like. It just seemed to be crude. But Tahts is just a personal opinion

Great upgrade to Paychex

Pros

I'm a user of this and my company just upgraded our version of paychex to flex and it is so much easier to use now.

Cons

Not a whole lot to say negative about this. It is a vast improvement over the old software.

Our employees love it, and so do we!

Pros

We recently switched to this software for our paystub/W-2 needs and our employees couldn't be happier! The app and desktop site are so easy for anyone to use, and it's simple for us to upload the information as well. No issues whatsoever... Completely seamless!

Cons

I honestly cannot think of anything. So far, this software has met/exceeded all of our needs.

Decent payroll management platform.

Pros

Cloud-based and ran pretty efficiently. Newer versions have more tools.

Cons

When I used it, it was a lot less flexible than I needed. I believe this has improved.

Platform is good, however the customer service...

Pros

The platform was good and it had good security features compared to ADP. The system was fairly good to use in the terms of entry and running payroll. When adding employees the experience was not that great.

Cons

The software was good, however when having to deal with the customer service reps after the fact was another story. It was near impossible to get a response in a timely order.

Taxes all messed up

Pros

- It was a fast and easy implementation.
- Other then that nothing else was a pro, we found issues long after we switched from them

Cons

- Used it prior to ADP Workforce now and they are even worst than ADP
- All the employee taxes were messed up

Paychex flex can do the job.

Pros

Easy to use interface design. It also gives access to employees on online payroll. The payroll processing is great and easy to use.

Cons

Expensive for a simple software. The integration is not as promised. And the customer service staffs are not very entertaining. It takes too much time to solved a problem we have encountered.

Confusing UI

Pros

It has everything you'd need in a software such as this

Cons

The UI is so confusingly set up, I am wondering if the company actually uses their own program in their business. It is not intuitive at all.

Paychex Flex used for payroll and HRO

HR director managing payroll, PTO, personnel files. Paychex Flex was somewhat easy to pick up, but could have been easier with better UX for the site. I do a few hours of manual data entry each pay period due to lack of functionality in a few areas, despite asking customer support for solutions. Our account manager/rep is very quick to reply to questions and has proven knowledgeable.

Pros

Customizable user access
Feels very secure
Good reporting functionality
Ability to customize views for easier data entry

Cons

UX problem: Huge text for unimportant areas, tiny text for the areas used most
Cross-functionality: HRO doesn't connect to Payroll for all purposes. You may need to spend more for this? Means extra data entry each pay period for me.
Some areas could be more intuitive, especially for typical next-step clicks

No customer service

Pros

I like the app, and it was fairly easy to use.

Cons

It seemed within the company, there is a lack of communication. I had a tax issue that I brought to their attention it went on for months while they pointed fingers at each other. At the end I had to pay for their mistake, then left.

Helpful HR product for small companies only

Paychex is definitely a good interface for smaller companies (less than 50) who only have basic reporting needs. Luckily, we are one :)

Pros

- good customer service
- interface used during payroll is user friendly
- check stubs are easy to locate
- tax information located on main page - they also keep up with new tax tables

Cons

- pay stubs aren't designated by employee (more manual work)
- instructional videos are unhelpful
- payroll reports are not customizable
- doesn't track pay increases
- windows aren't fashionably organized
