It is used by founders, finance leads, HR managers and office managers, whether the business currently works with an accountant, a payroll tool or an in-house team. Payfit offers three ways of working, which can change as the business changes: the business runs payroll itself on the platform, it asks Payfit's team for help on specific tasks, or it delegates payroll entirely. In self-managed mode, the employer runs payroll on the platform and relies on the dedicated team for questions. With help on demand, the employer asks the team to take over specific tasks, such as entering variables or handling a complex absence, and keeps the rest in house. With full delegation, the team runs the whole cycle, from collecting variables and checking data to producing payslips, and the employer approves each close. Because the subscription price does not change with the level of service, a business can move between modes as its needs evolve. Each month, a dedicated team of payroll experts supports the pay run. Variables such as hours, bonuses, absences and changes of circumstances... are sent by email or through Payfit AI before the close, or entered by Payfit's team. Anomalies are checked from the moment of entry, through automated controls and expert review, so issues are raised before payslips are produced. Payslips are generated on the closing date, the employer reviews and approves them, and HMRC RTI and pension submissions are then sent. At every stage, the employer can see who is doing what and when. The dedicated team also answers payroll questions and takes care of related administrative steps, so employers do not need to become payroll specialists. Starters, leavers, bonuses and absences, including more complex situations, are handled within the monthly cycle without limit. Beyond payroll, the platform covers everyday HR tasks. Employees request leave from their online portal or through Payfit AI, and approved absences flow into payroll with no re-keying. Employment contracts are generated, sent and signed online, then connected to payroll, so starter details are not entered twice. HR documents are held in one place, and each employee has a portal with interactive payslips, leave information and documents. HR analytics give employers a real-time view of salary costs, absences, turnover and headcount, drawn directly from payroll data rather than from separate spreadsheets. Payfit AI is an AI assistant that answers questions using the context of the business, passes variables to the payroll experts, analyses data on request and produces HR reports. Employees can also use it to find answers themselves, which reduces repetitive requests to HR. Onboarding is carried out by Payfit at no extra cost: an expert collects documents, sets up the account and checks the information before the first pay run. The subscription price is the same whatever level of service is chosen. The layout is pretty simple and it's easy to find your payslips, overview of time off, requested time off, and request for leaves. It easily integrates with our HRIS system BambooHR. #### Cons I think that the UI is a bit funky sometimes and doesn't make sense - it would be great to have landed on a different page when you want to request leave (like month view for example). I can see my team's availability on the dashboard when I want to take leaves. They have also implemented an AI tool (chatbot or something like that) to ask questions related to payrolls, etc. #### Cons Nothing in particular.
