This review is very positive so I would say positive. Something unique is our dedicated client reps were open to discussing upcoming changes in the software and what was coming down the pipe and were always asking for feedback so as a user you always had a sense of buy in on both sides.

Pros:

Wow this is a tough one because I have been an ardent supporter and proponent of Paylocity for many years now. The technology, UI, robust set up and the customer set up and support are absolutely outstanding. If you've gotten to a point in your business and HR needs where you've outgrown the smaller options this is hands down the top pick.

Cons:

It's difficult to point to anything because any small issues we had such as setting up complex codes or changing GL ledger formats were really self induced or normal change management issues that arise. The support team and our dedicated client reps were always there to bounce ideas off and talk through best practices or what they've seen other clients do in similar situations when you got an odd ball issue.

Reasons for choosing Paylocity

Client rep experience and consultative approach to the platform and our needs. Used Paycom at another firm and glad we did not go with them.

Reasons for switching to Paylocity

Prior platform worked well but did not have all the features needed for a 50+ growing business.

Pros:

It is a very powerful HR Tool and has a lot of perks that go with it including assistance writing new handbooks, writing job descriptions and training. It can all be held in this account.

Cons:

The only thing I wish is that the time off calendar in the system was a little bit more detailed in it's view. If someone is taking a partial day I'd like everybody to be able to see at a glance what time the individual will be away from work.

Pros:

Paylocity is a comprehensive HRIS and payroll platform that offers a wide range of functionality across the employee lifecycle. One of its greatest strengths is scalability. Organizations can manage payroll, benefits, time and labor, recruiting, performance management, and employee engagement within a single ecosystem. The reporting capabilities are robust, allowing HR teams to access and analyze workforce data efficiently, and the employee self-service features are generally well received and help reduce administrative burdens.

Cons:

Where my experience became frustrating was with customer support and some of the additional products sold as part of the Paylocity ecosystem. We frequently received inconsistent or incorrect guidance from support representatives, which occasionally resulted in costly mistakes and required additional time to resolve. The revolving-door nature of support contacts also made it difficult to establish continuity and build confidence in the advice being provided. I was also disappointed by several add-on products that were represented as seamlessly integrated but did not function as expected in practice. For example, we selected Paylocity's COBRA administration solution with the expectation that it would automate processes and reduce administrative effort. Instead, we encountered significant manual workarounds that diminished the value of the product and largely defeated the purpose of implementing it. Similarly, after transitioning to Paylocity's HSA/FSA administration services, employees expressed considerable frustration with the account setup process and ongoing account access.

Reasons for choosing Paylocity

The sales team did a good job selling us that Paylocity was a better fit for us being a small company (less than 50 emp) on the grow with its scalability.

There are many things that I like about Paylocity including the beginning of how helpful their team was when we did implementation to our everyday questions we have with using the platform. We have been using it for two years now and questions still come up.

Cons:

The one thing that I dislike about the platform is the customization doesn't seem to be there. We are a unique company, and it would be nice if we were able to customize certain things within the system.

Where to begin? My favorite thing about Paylocity is the customer support. Every employee I've encountered here seems like they are genuinely happy working for this company. My second favorite thing is the ease of use of the product. We are switching from a different, more difficult to use product. I save so much time not having to teach everyone how to use Paylocity, because it's so easy!

Cons:

There are a few options available for viewing certain things on thier webpage, like employee information. I wish there was just one, so it didn't switch back and forth, but not a huge deal.

Paylocity has ability to integrate with pretty much anything you can think of. If we went with Paycom, it seemed like they didn't integrate with other things as easy.
