- Proliant simplified payroll and had efficient HR and Payroll features.

#### Ratings breakdown

- Ease of use: 4/5
- Value for money: 4/5

#### Pros

I like the ability to have everything in one place. Payroll, benefits, performance management. What I like most about the service is it is a one stop shop. The service team response has gotten better as well.

#### Cons

I do not enjoy the new design. It is unnecessarily complex and I have trouble locating needed features, which used to be easy to find.

#### Reasons for choosing Proliant

The cost and the platform

#### Reasons for switching to Proliant

Dayforce did not have an option to include an ATS

We use it for 500 plus employees hourly and salaried. The support from the ProLiant team is great. We reach out to our main contact, and he usually gets back to us same day.

#### Ratings breakdown

- Ease of use: 5/5
- Value for money: 5/5
- Customer support: 5/5
- Functionality: 5/5

#### Pros

Best feature compared to other payroll software's is the reporting features. I can run a report for the specific needs of each department and management.

#### Cons

As with most payroll software's using their timeclock systems should flow great. However, human error for a heavy payroll needs to be simplified in my opinion. Stand out where it sees corrections are needed.

#### Reasons for switching to Proliant

ProLiant handles all our tax reporting and benefits instead of our payroll admin.

I don't have to worry that the software will be unreliable. That takes a huge burden off. There are never any lock ups, so you never have to worry that payroll will be processed. The software works how you expect it to. The client representative and help that is available when we reach out, makes working with the Proliant software a pleasure. The team is knowledgeable and available - those two aspects make an unbeatable difference.

#### Ratings breakdown

- Ease of use: 5/5
- Value for money: 4/5
- Customer support: 5/5
- Functionality: 4/5

#### Pros

It has great features. It is easy to use. It has a nice interface. It is extensive in it's capacity to fulfill various needs.

#### Cons

When you are busy, if you don't know of a report that could work for a new need, it takes some trial and error to find the right one. But that is more an issue of user knowledge, not the software.

We are starting our 7th year with Proliant and have been very happy with the services provided. Our previous payroll company presented a few challenges which Proliant has been able to assist with solving those challenges. No real complaints about the product.

#### Ratings breakdown

- Ease of use: 5/5
- Value for money: 5/5
- Customer support: 5/5
- Functionality: 5/5

#### Pros

Proliant's features help with payroll, related taxes and filings, 401k transmission, onboarding new employees, job costing. They system offers general reporting as well as the capability of creating your own customized report for whatever information you are looking for.

#### Cons

there is an auto generated end date for Branch, Department and Jobs. sometimes these drop off without some sort of warning that it is going to end and then employees code their time to something else since they can not locate the correct code. It would be nice if there was a notice that something was going to end date so it could be checked to see if the end date needs to be extended.

#### Reasons for choosing Proliant

We felt that Proliant was a better fit for our company needs, pricing was also considered when we made our final decision

I love Proliant and support this company. I appreciate their vision and what they are doing, but I think they are experiencing some growing pains. They are always willing to help and because their programming is in-house, suggestions you make to improve the platform are taken seriously and implemented. This is one of their greatest strengths. They are constantly updating and making improvements!

#### Ratings breakdown

- Ease of use: 4/5
- Value for money: 5/5
- Customer support: 5/5
- Functionality: 4/5

#### Pros

Proliant is very easy to use, for the most part. The system makes sense. The products offered for the price are the best bang for your buck when compared to other HRIS. Also, the dedicated service team is wonderful and makes things so much easier, especially if you are a smaller company.

#### Cons

The functionality between Proliant and their Time and Labor system is terrible. There are constant issues with the communication between Proliant and Time and Labor, causing somewhat of an administrative burden. It's manageable, but a pain.

#### Reasons for choosing Proliant

Cost and familiarity.

#### Reasons for switching to Proliant

ADP is astronomically expensive and you could never reach anyone in their customer service department if you had an issue.

### Honest Review of My Experience With Recommendation NOT to use Proliant

Overall, easy to use platform. The electronic onboarding was the best feature. The customer service is suboptimal, mistakes were occasionally, but parting with them for valid reasons causes them to maliciously try and stick it to their former customers by withholding personnel records that were already paid for. There is absolutely no reasoning with [sensitive content hidden]. For these reasons, I want to warn any company thinking about using them for payroll.

#### Ratings breakdown

- Ease of use: 3/5
- Value for money: 3/5
- Customer support: 1/5
- Functionality: 3/5

#### Pros

We switched to Proliant for the electronic onboarding and because our last payroll had poor customer service. The price was fair and their platform was user friendly. Our overall favorite service was the electronic onboarding feature.

#### Cons

We had a good customer service rep for the first 6 months. The next one was terrible. Then we got [sensitive content hidden]. She was better but dropped the ball several time in the past 18 months. We had to escalate the poor customer service up, which took speaking with multiple people to get resolution. Our 1095-A's for 2022 were not completed accurately despite spending a large amount of time trying to work Proliant on the accuracy. Ultimately, we decided to leave due to the poor customer service but it wasn't until we gave notice and left that their real character was reveled. We paid the three month penalty to the tune of $1600 and were given 30 days to download our payroll reports, which we did. They are currently holding our Personnel records including our W4's, I9's, job descriptions, employee handbook acknowledgment and various policy and procedures for ransom, trying to extort more money for access to our records. Our attorney reviewed the service agreement and the term payroll reports is all that is used in the 30 day clause. There is no definition of what happens to the electronic signature forms that were obtained and paid for already during our monthly service when they were signed. I am absolutely appalled that Proliant would keep such important records for any business.

#### Reasons for choosing Proliant

I went with Proliant strictly because they were cheaper but believe me, I wish I had made a wiser choice knowing what I know now.

#### Reasons for switching to Proliant

Poor customer service and wanted better pricing.

#### Ratings breakdown

- Ease of use: 4/5
- Value for money: 5/5
- Customer support: 3/5
- Functionality: 3/5

#### Pros

The reporting tools in RPO are very powerful and work pretty well.

#### Cons

Attendance on Demand is completely over engineered for our needs. It's very frustrating trying to learn the system, is not intuitive, and is inflexible for what I want it to do. I really like having a dedicated account manager, but I often feel they are stretched too thin. Training on the system has been difficult. The training documents are not helpful at all because these are not configured for our particular setup, especially as it relates to Attendance on Demand. In the reporting tool, I've asked about a DOZEN different people in different departments to help me configure one specific report: A snapshot of the active employees on a given day in history; I want to be able to pull a simple report saying who was actively employed on October 22, 2019, for example... NOT who are the active employees TODAY with data from that time period. I've requested this from my account managers (4 different people), client relationships managers (2 different people), and trainers (3 different people). No one has been able to support me on this simple request.

#### Reasons for choosing Proliant

I think we need a longer time together to truly fully learn the Proliant systems.

#### Reasons for switching to Proliant

ADP was inflexible and incompetent in providing basic services. CBIZ was too expensive for its basic services compared to the value provided.

I like that the training links are available to train new employees or even a refresher for current employees on something they may not have completed in a while. They system is always on the most recent version. I like that is integrates with our benefits system and our ERP solution.

#### Cons

I honestly do not have any areas of the software that I do not like.

#### Reasons for choosing Proliant

Proliant was easier to use, direct integration with our ERP solution, customer reviews, price.

#### Reasons for switching to Proliant

We needed a more robust software that would integrate directly with our ERP solution.

#### Pros

How timekeeping is integrated with the payroll side. Employees are able to make demographic, W-4 and various other changes themselves.

#### Cons

Getting state and local taxes set up in the system is A LOT of work. The way the system looks at a new salaried employee. For example: Our pay period runs the 1st - 15th. We have an employee start on the 16th (beginning of a new pay period). The system requires a pay rate to be in the system for the pay period prior to when they started in order to get the 1st - 15th payroll processed. The system should be able to see the pay rate and DOH is effective 5/16 and know this employee would not get a check for the 1st - 15th pay period.

#### Reasons for choosing Proliant

Price

#### Reasons for switching to Proliant

We were previously using Quickbooks to process payroll and with the growth of the company, this wasn't working for us any longer. Needed a system that we could use for timekeeping and payroll processing.

I was dreading the switch because we had just gone through implementation with another provider. I have no regrets. Proliant is on top of it. Our first payroll was easy! The tax team is responsive and any issues are quickly and easily resolved. I am excited to integrate our expense reimbursement into Proliant instead of cutting checks.

#### Ratings breakdown

- Ease of use: 4/5

#### Pros

The implementation team was very knowledgeable and made the transition from our previous provider seamless and painless. The Ready Pay Online platform is very intuitive and easy to navigate. Unlimited training is helpful in learning all the different aspects of the software. The customer service has been amazing; I quickly get accurate answers to all of my questions.

#### Cons

I still struggle with Reporting and finding or customizing reports to the content and format I need.

#### Reasons for switching to Proliant

Workforce Now was difficult to navigate, the reporting was impossible, and there were so many issues on the back end due to poor implementation that we are still trying to correct errors. Customer service was severely lacking and the wait times and response times were unacceptable.

If we were using Proliant to simply run payroll, I think we would be fully satisfied. It's the other areas that we constantly experience problems, and thought that by switching to a smaller company, we would have more dedicated service. It often seems our dedicated account representatives are overwhelmed with other clients, as I often have to make several attempts to reach out in order to get a response, and some issues continue to remain unresolved. Unfortunately, we have actually given up on finding solutions to several issues at this point (transfers between company locations, 401k terminations, overlapping day clock ins, and time off requests, are just several examples that we continue to experience issues with on a recurring basis).

#### Ratings breakdown

- Ease of use: 2/5
- Value for money: 3/5
- Customer support: 2/5
- Functionality: 2/5

#### Pros

Payroll processing is a breeze. If that is all you are using it for, you will love its ease of use and functionality. At the price point offered, it is a very economical choice for basic functionality.

#### Cons

Communication between Time & Labor and Ready Pay Online is lacking. Continued issues since day one that have still not been ironed out in regard to transferring employees to new locations, time off tracking, browser accessibility, and 401(k) integration, just to name a few.

#### Reasons for choosing Proliant

I had used Proliant with a prior company, but without the full functionality that we were needing with my current employer. I still believe that if only basic payroll processing was needed, we'd be completely satisfied.

Proliant was a terrible decision. Nothing with them went to plan and we were never technically fully moved out of implementation even though we spent two plus years with them. The customer service provided was always terrible, so much so that we had several phone calls with upper management because of the poor treatment that we received. This being said, the sales team clearly over sold what they were able to deliver. The system is a few different systems parsed together so there is not a clear and uniform flow from one area to the other. Overall, Proliant was one of the worst mistakes that we ever made. Be weary if they try to sell you their software.

#### Ratings breakdown

- Ease of use: 3/5
- Value for money: 1/5
- Customer support: 1/5
- Functionality: 2/5

#### Pros

The best thing about Proliant is its cost. The software is not very expensive compared to other full suite payroll options. Additionally the main UI is somewhat pleasing and simple to use.

#### Cons

The worst thing about Proliant is its software. I am not sure if there is someone behind the curtain constantly changing permissions and data, but those things were certainly to us. Furthermore, their customer service is abysmal. Never have we dealt with such a company that was so inept at its own system. Even though our representatives were the "experts" they constantly had to communicate with other departments and their superiors in order to resolve even the most simple of issues.

Overall I am pleased with Proliant. Sometimes it takes a while to get assistance when you have an issue. I think that it may be a staffing issue. It's a sign of the times to be short staffed these days. Our customer service rep is great, I just think she gets overwhelmed with calls and emails sometimes. I would recommend Proliant to anyone who needs a payroll system. I used to work for another payroll company and I would choose Prolaint over them any day of the week.

#### Ratings breakdown

- Ease of use: 4/5
- Value for money: 4/5
- Customer support: 4/5
- Functionality: 4/5

#### Pros

Using the software is easy. I like how you can edit the wizard fields to help create just what you need to enter a new employee. Easy to find the information that you need quickly by using the different tabs. Excellent training options right from the software, you get the training any time you wish to view it. Several useful reports are already created for use.

#### Cons

When the software is being updated you can lose some of the functions. They need to do more testing to make sure everything works before they launch it. Sometimes they go back and forth before they correct the issues or the server is down. It can be challenging at times. When it works, it works great. Unfortunately, Payroll is time sensitive and when you need to use it, you need it to work properly.

With help from Proliant, we are working hard to create processes that will improve our employee experience. From new hire processes taking place online, to providing resources to our staff that will allow them the ability to have information they need, when they need it. Ranging from changing direct deposit details, printing a pay stub.

#### Ratings breakdown

- Ease of use: 5/5

#### Pros

As a small business that is growing, we will begin utilizing Proliant to support our new hire process. We are looking forward to having the ability to have an Employee Self Service Module, as well as an easy to follow employee set-up. The ability to easily set up and change direct deposit information and for employees to change their addresses and print their own paystubs will save us time and paper while creating efficiencies.

#### Cons

We are just beginning to utilize more than the basic functions, so we are still learning and early in the set-up process. We should know more in the coming months if there are items that don't work as well as we had hoped.

Some of the employee settings during onboarding are not easy to find due to infrequent use by a small employer with light turnover. The reporting tool can be cumbersome at times because there are so many options, but the search feature is very helpful.

#### Reasons for switching to Proliant

Paychex sales did not have our company's best interest in mind when recommending programs. Customer service was poor.

I was stoked to have switched to Proliant, we were told we would always have an assigned account manager and yes that is the case. In the almost two years we have lost two awesome account managers. They were very responsive to my calls or emails. Now not so much and I always get the same response too busy with other customers. Novatime represenative not responsive, takes him too long to get back to me. as a matter of fact , he has not fixed my vacation accruals since months ago. He does not follow up and I'm still waiting to here that he is done

#### Ratings breakdown

#### Pros

It is somewhat user friendly, when we came on board the whole process was rushed, did not get sufficient training

#### Cons

Running any sort of payroll, HR report is cumbersome

#### Reasons for choosing Proliant

Great customer service was sold and is important for us. Creation of reports was not all user friendly.

#### Reasons for switching to Proliant

Bad, undependable support and their turn over with staff was very high.

I am very happy with Proliant, I feel as though any issues I have are resolved in a timely manner. I am still a little weary of the T&L software, though.

#### Ratings breakdown

#### Pros

I like the incredibly support I receive from [sensitive content hidden] . She is the main reason we have stayed loyal to Proliant over the years.

#### Cons

It would be great if, when entering a new employee, it saved as you went along. Also, if we could have customized data entry fields so we do not have to go back into the record to fill in the info that was unseen during the initial employee set-up. I don't like the way the T&L software sometimes does not sync cleanly with the Readypay software.

Price

#### Reasons for switching to Proliant

It was too expensive at the time. They also messed up our taxes! (found out after the switch)

Overall, I have had a great experience with Proliant. The software is very easy to use and when I have questions, my service team is very responsive.

#### Ratings breakdown

- Ease of use: 5/5
- Value for money: 5/5
- Customer support: 5/5
- Functionality: 4/5

#### Pros

I love that the system is easy to use as an employee as well as as an administrator.

#### Cons

The one thing I would change is the ability to enter specific hours on the timesheet instead of just the total hours worked.

#### Reasons for choosing Proliant

Due to the nature of our business, we needed a system that would allow for multiple non-employee supervisors as well as the ability to use a timeclock or timesheet depending on the employee. Proliant offered a customized solution that is affordable and easy to use.
