JazzHR is a Software-as-a-Service (SaaS) applicant tracking system. Founded in 2009, JazzHR provides recruiting and hiring software accessible to businesses of all sizes.

JazzHR’s sourcing tools enable users to post jobs, mirror any internal approval processes and syndicate jobs to numerous free and paid job boards from one spot. Users can list jobs on a hosted careers page, add jobs to the company’s careers site or build a custom careers page from within JazzHR.

Features include sourcing and applicant tracking. Users can also manage the entire interview process within the portal, create and send out offers and onboarding paperwork, and set up customizable reporting.

JazzHR also has tools for social recruiting and employee referrals which includes sharing jobs, requesting referrals and tracking applicant sources.

Very good ATS

Jazz HR has made our recruiting process so much more organized. I particularly like that we can have knock out questions that automatically will eliminate a candidate from moving further in the process.

Pros

Jazz HR is extremely user friendly. As the HR director, I hardly ever get questions from my managers on how to use the software. The price point is good as well.

Cons

We don't have a dedicated customer service rep. I have to use through their email support to get assistance.

Good basic, cheap ATS

Pros

Relative to other ATS, it was pretty cheap! I also liked that you could duplicate funnels for job postings with similar interview steps.

Cons

There is not a lot of flexibility in terms of communication to applicants. Email templates would be better off if they were not as static. I also wish it gave you users more freedom to design the funnels for applicants.

Great ATS

Pros

The software is leaps and bounds better than our previous ATS. Workflows are easy to set up and it's easy to stay organized. We have gotten some high quality candidates from the job boards that our jobs get automatically posted on which is an added bonus. Very good ATS for the money!

Cons

There isn't much but I feel their reporting function could be a bit better--it is not always easy to pull the data I'm looking for.

I love JazzHR

The hiring "team" functionality will rely on your team being skilled at following SOP - there are a lot of "steps" you can create with the software, but unless everyone follows them it can become a mess.

Pros

The user interface is very intuitive. The features are fantastic - being able to have the process flow so seamlessly is very helpful. The interview guides and interview scoring are particularly useful.

Cons

While you can "copy" a posting and manually repost it, you cannot "refresh" a post on the boards until 90 days of it being active. It's also odd that you can't delete old interview templates - I end up naming them strange things starting with "XXX" so they sink to the bottom of the alphabetical list. We do not use this for our HRIS at all - for that we went with a different software.

Clean format for reviewing candidates

Software designed to help us find new candidates for jobs at my company. It works better than other applications I have tried

JazzHR makes it easy to keep track of who is applying for jobs, and sorting through the candidate with the rest of my team.

Cons

I would really like more customization in the number of fields candidates can fill out, adding a section for a portfolio would help immensely. Navigating around the site is not straightforward either.

Great dashboard

Pros

This software has a manageable and clean dashboard that allows you to move the status of your recruits to different tabs/buckets. Works great when you are sifting through multiple resumes!

There's honestly nothing negative to say about this product. It's a great tool.

ATS that's great for recruiting team

Pros

Easy to see what has been emailed to the candidate by who. You can send tasks to another hiring team member and schedule interviews across the hiring team. Easy to search for candidates.

Cons

Once you create a job, it's hard make changes to the work flow. For example, if you wanted to add another round of interviews for a role, you can not do so without duplicating the job and when you do this, you can't move over the people who has already applied.

Pros

Easy to learn and use quickly. Easy to rate candidates and share information with stakeholders. Also easy to set up questionnaires/homework for candidates. Allows for customization to use the language your company uses.

Cons

Moving candidates to new positions. Easy to do but notes don't follow candidates. Also doesn't allow you to delete the previous application which is needed often. At times, we may repost a job and would like to move candidates and their notes without having two files.

Really easy to use and super powerful tech

I would really consider Jazz as a option as it is very cost effective and feature rich. Quick to get up and running and easy to use.

Pros

Easy to use and really intuitive. I like that they have thought of making things simple but also really feature rich. From creating a job, posting to mutliple sourcing channels then easily managing candidates through a custom hiring process. Being able to filter, screen and only see relevant candidates is great.

The price you pay is also low vs other larger providers that do not even support all the features in Jazz.

Cons

I really do not see any cons as Jazz ticks all boxes for a quick to deploy solution at a low price point.

Great tool for recruiting new employees!

Pros

I love many things about JazzHR. The email notifications when we get new applicants are clean and crisp, easy to read at a quick glance. The website is super easy to navigate and the hiring process is laid out in steps so you can quickly move applicants around. It's also a great place to store test scores and phone interview notes.

Cons

There isn't anything I don't like about the software. It's super easy to use and has helped us gain a lot of great employees.

Pros

This tool has helped us input notes on each step of the way on each candidate. It also makes it easy to see where each prospect is in the process.

Cons

Easy to use, clean interface

Pros

I like that I can easily figure out how to complete a task in the software. For example, I needed to make a change to a large group of candidates and was able to do so without contacting customer service. I like being able to figure things out on my own without a lot of hassle and research.

Cons

I wish the reflexes worked a little differently. When I add a task, it doesn't show up on the candidate's record until I refresh the page. Same thing happens when I complete the task.

Gets the job done

Pros

Job posting is simple and the templates are great to have available for the applicant screening questions. The interface is clean and there is the option to post to free job boards. Being able to link it to our company HR page was great. Applicants could visit our website and apply right from there.

Cons

Sometimes the job would not post to free job boards, like indeed. Even after trying to make the job look like a 'list', it was not clear what the expectations were.

Makes an eye catching views so make the user more interresting

I wish the report data could automatically be formatted into graphs and charts for presentation.
Also would be wonderful if there was a smart function that would flag great match candidates, maybe include some high level summary information about each candidate in the candidates view so you could quickly sort through unqualified applicants.
Overall a great tool. On a minor note, it couldn't hurt to add a little more color variation in the design of the interface...
