JazzHR is a Software-as-a-Service (SaaS) applicant tracking system. Founded in 2009, JazzHR provides recruiting and hiring software accessible to businesses of all sizes.

JazzHR’s sourcing tools enable users to post jobs, mirror any internal approval processes and syndicate jobs to numerous free and paid job boards from one spot. Users can list jobs on a hosted careers page, add jobs to the company’s careers site or build a custom careers page from within JazzHR.

Features include sourcing and applicant tracking. Users can also manage the entire interview process within the portal, create and send out offers and onboarding paperwork, and set up customizable reporting.

JazzHR also has tools for social recruiting and employee referrals which includes sharing jobs, requesting referrals and tracking applicant sources.

Cost Effective Solution, Suitable for All Business Sizes

Fantastic. Quick and easy migration. We had a short period to evaluate other solutions and implement. With our implementation contact, we were able to effectively migrate our data from iCIMS quickly.

Pros

One of the few products I demoed that allows me to effectively export all data keyed into the system. Met my needs for unique customization, integration with existing HR platform, automated workflows, limited access to users based on needs, and more. More importantly, if provided me the same perks, with an upgraded UI both for admins and candidates, all while reducing our costs by 70% over our existing vendor (icims).

Cons

No flexibility to set permissions down to the field level. We like to keep some of our app questions (i.e. what is you minimum expected salary) hidden and this is something that I can't currently hide from people marked as recruiters or hiring managers.

ATS For a Growing Company

Jazz had been our ATD for multiple years, and had worked well on its own to bring in a lot of high-quality applicants.

Pros

Jazz worked well with our website's job posting, and provided all stakeholders an ability to review and comment on applicants.

Cons

Jazz was limited in integration options, and could not work with our new HRIS. We were looking for more automation in applicant response messaging.

JazzHR gets me organized and cuts down on managing multiple boards

Pros

Job description template is super helpful!
Love the email templates
All our candidates are now in one place!
Customizable status, workflows, questions, even reasons
Pushes out to (and updates) multiple free job boards automatically

Cons

I wish that there was a version between the lowest level and the mid level. I don't have it in my budget to pay for the next tier but I love some of the features.

Pros

The ability to easily create custom application forms and workflows are one of the best features of JazzHR. The UX/UI is simple, clean, and intuitive. The fact that JazzHR also connects to so many different job boards is a plus!

Cons

I have little against it, especially since there aren't any other softwares that come even close to JazzHR's quality product.

Seems like a great Applicant Tracking Solution... but I'm still in the honeymoon phase

Pros

We demo'ed lots of ATS's and selected JazzHR. The features and functionality seem like a big step up from our current solution. Our HR team is in the process of setting it up. I hope it will live up to expectations.

Cons

Maybe cost would be a con because it's an add-on to our HRIS. I had to carve out budget because I couldn't find an HRIS that had a good ATS solution.

Effective Tool for Managing Job Applicants

Increasing the effectiveness of our hiring process, making it easier to track.

Pros

JazzHR is a centralized platform to keep track of various job openings and the stages of tracking an applicant to new roles. Makes it easy to see colleagues' reviews of new applicants.

Cons

I find the features somewhat challenging to find, and the overall application hard to navigate between sections. I would also like to see additional options for uploading portfolios and other documents, more than just resumes, available to candidates.

Good platform for small/medium businesses

Pros

They have sequences that help with pushing people through the hiring pipeline. Jazz does a great job at overall organizing your candidates and pushing them through the respective sequence.

Cons

The analytics and custom reporting leave a lot to be desired. You just do not have a decent amount of customization and it doesn't offer very granular data. Perhaps the most frustrating thing with Jazz is their search function. This is only an issue as your applications start piling up and you have to find a certain Ashley S. in a sea of Ashleys from your last several years of candidates.

Very organized recruiting software

This is literally a one-software-does-all recruiting tool that I could rely on from start to finish for a seamless recruitment.

Pros

Works very well with web mail services. The templates and the option to post to free job boards are fabulous.

Cons

I love this app functionality-wise but it couldn't hurt to upgrade the interface because it looks dull and flat.

Very good ATS

Jazz HR has made our recruiting process so much more organized. I particularly like that we can have knock out questions that automatically will eliminate a candidate from moving further in the process.

Pros

Jazz HR is extremely user friendly. As the HR director, I hardly ever get questions from my managers on how to use the software. The price point is good as well.

Cons

We don't have a dedicated customer service rep. I have to use through their email support to get assistance.

Pros

Relative to other ATS, it was pretty cheap! I also liked that you could duplicate funnels for job postings with similar interview steps.

Cons

There is not a lot of flexibility in terms of communication to applicants. Email templates would be better off if they were not as static. I also wish it gave you users more freedom to design the funnels for applicants.

Great ATS

Pros

The software is leaps and bounds better than our previous ATS. Workflows are easy to set up and it's easy to stay organized. We have gotten some high quality candidates from the job boards that our jobs get automatically posted on which is an added bonus. Very good ATS for the money!

Cons

There isn't much but I feel their reporting function could be a bit better--it is not always easy to pull the data I'm looking for.

I love JazzHR

The hiring "team" functionality will rely on your team being skilled at following SOP - there are a lot of "steps" you can create with the software, but unless everyone follows them it can become a mess.

Pros

The user interface is very intuitive. The features are fantastic - being able to have the process flow so seamlessly is very helpful. The interview guides and interview scoring are particularly useful.

Cons

While you can "copy" a posting and manually repost it, you cannot "refresh" a post on the boards until 90 days of it being active. It's also odd that you can't delete old interview templates - I end up naming them strange things starting with "XXX" so they sink to the bottom of the alphabetical list. We do not use this for our HRIS at all - for that we went with a different software.

ATS that's great for recruiting team

Pros

Easy to see what has been emailed to the candidate by who. You can send tasks to another hiring team member and schedule interviews across the hiring team. Easy to search for candidates.

Cons

Once you create a job, it's hard make changes to the work flow. For example, if you wanted to add another round of interviews for a role, you can not do so without duplicating the job and when you do this, you can't move over the people who has already applied.
