JazzHR software


JazzHR is a Software-as-a-Service (SaaS) applicant tracking system. Founded in 2009, JazzHR provides recruiting and hiring software accessible to businesses of all sizes.

JazzHR’s sourcing tools enable users to post jobs, mirror any internal approval processes and syndicate jobs to numerous free and paid job boards from one spot. Users can list jobs on a hosted careers page, add jobs to the company’s careers site or build a custom careers page from within JazzHR.

Features include sourcing and applicant tracking. Users can also manage the entire interview process within the portal, create and send out offers and onboarding paperwork, and set up customizable reporting.

JazzHR also has tools for social recruiting and employee referrals which includes sharing jobs, requesting referrals and tracking applicant sources.

    ATS that's great for recruiting team

    Easy to see what has been emailed to the candidate by who. You can send tasks to another hiring team member and schedule interviews across the hiring team. Easy to search for candidates.

    Cons

    Once you create a job, it's hard make changes to the work flow. For example, if you wanted to add another round of interviews for a role, you can not do so without duplicating the job and when you do this, you can't move over the people who has already applied.

    Keep track of candidates.

    Pros

    Easy to learn and use quickly. Easy to rate candidates and share information with stakeholders. Also easy to set up questionnaires/homework for candidates. Allows for customization to use the language your company uses.

    Cons

    Moving candidates to new positions. Easy to do but notes don't follow candidates. Also doesn't allow you to delete the previous application which is needed often. At times, we may repost a job and would like to move candidates and their notes without having two files.

    I would really consider Jazz as a option as it is very cost effective and feature rich. Quick to get up and running and easy to use.

    Pros

    Easy to use and really intuitive. I like that they have thought of making things simple but also really feature rich. From creating a job, posting to mutliple sourcing channels then easily managing candidates through a custom hiring process. Being able to filter, screen and only see relevant candidates is great.

    The price you pay is also low vs other larger providers that do not even support all the features in Jazz.

    Cons

    I really do not see any cons as Jazz ticks all boxes for a quick to deploy solution at a low price point.

    I love many things about JazzHR. The email notifications when we get new applicants are clean and crisp, easy to read at a quick glance. The website is super easy to navigate and the hiring process is laid out in steps so you can quickly move applicants around. It's also a great place to store test scores and phone interview notes.

    There isn't anything I don't like about the software. It's super easy to use and has helped us gain a lot of great employees.

    This tool has helped us input notes on each step of the way on each candidate. It also makes it easy to see where each prospect is in the process.

    Cons

    Wish it could somehow be more interactive. It is a fairly straight forward software. I don't really have any complaints.

    I like that I can easily figure out how to complete a task in the software. For example, I needed to make a change to a large group of candidates and was able to do so without contacting customer service. I like being able to figure things out on my own without a lot of hassle and research.

    Cons

    I wish the reflexes worked a little differently. When I add a task, it doesn't show up on the candidate's record until I refresh the page. Same thing happens when I complete the task.

    Job posting is simple and the templates are great to have available for the applicant screening questions. The interface is clean and there is the option to post to free job boards. Being able to link it to our company HR page was great. Applicants could visit our website and apply right from there.

    Cons

    Sometimes the job would not post to free job boards, like indeed. Even after trying to make the job look like a 'list', it was not clear what the expectations were.

    Makes an eye catching views so make the user more interresting

    Pros

    Easy to use and very helpful for Human Resources field especially for HR Manager, Division Coordinator that mostly very busy with recruitment

    I wish the report data could automatically be formatted into graphs and charts for presentation.
    Also would be wonderful if there was a smart function that would flag great match candidates, maybe include some high level summary information about each candidate in the candidates view so you could quickly sort through unqualified applicants.
    Overall a great tool. On a minor note, it couldn't hurt to add a little more color variation in the design of the interface...

    Overall, very solid ATS. Would recommend.

    Pros

    This ATS posts through to other sites and allows you to create complex workflows, collaborate, set many permission levels for collaborators, track the number of applicants and hires you make through different sources, and run solid EEO reports.

    Cons

    Some collaborators with whom I worked- not particularly tech-savvy ones- did struggle with the information. It was also sometimes overly complicated to share results of interviews with others.

    Holds everyone in one place including a resume, potential questions to ask, asks invidivual members to review the person within the software program once the interview is complete.

    Cons

    It's nothing that couldn't be included in a meeting invite for someone's interview. It's unclear to me why someone would need a separate platform for this. My organization question what is the value add of JazzHR?

    Platform is integrated with paid job sites and one click add is perfect for reaching candidates that would typically not go to free job sites like indeed.

    Cons

    Clunky in terms of streamlining the Hiring to on-boarding process. I did not get a lot of on site hands on training on even a webinar as I am a kinesthetic learner so maybe I just did not clearly understand all the functionality.

    We got this software to streamline our process and facilitate the end-to-end HR process. The added e-signature abilities helps us reduce paperwork and time and provides added convenience for applicants.

    Cons

    The only thing I don't like about this product is the name--I feel silly using it in professional speak. It was more expensive than other competitors, but I think the overall value was worth it.

    Cost effective, easy to use and can scale with you as you grow. Easily integrates with BambooHR and other HRIS platforms. The customer support at JazzHR is responsive and helpful and they are always adding new functionality to improve the product.

    Pros

    It's the best system on the market for the price and functionality. JazzHR easily integrates with free job boards saving posting time and looks great on mobile!

    Cons

    The reporting could be improved. JazzHR integrates with a number of other HR Tech providers but at times the API can be limiting.

    Easy to work with for new users. I like that the OFCCP forms are available if needed. It was a simple process to post new requisitions as well.

    Maybe we didn't have the entire feature turned on, but I would have liked to run a few more reports in the system.

    Track all applications electronically and post to job boards with one click.

    Pros

    The system is very inexpensive and much better than having not ATS.
    -It posts to several free job boards with only one click.
    -Store, track, and update all applications in one place.
    -You can communicate with applicants through the system.
    -You can leave comments and keep record of multiple applications for an applicant.
    -You can send emails in bulk.

    Cons

    Compared to other ATS in the same price rang and has a ton more (useless) features and is missing some key basic features.
    -The reports features are very complicated and not very practical
    -The screening and interview features are not realistic in our environment
    -Missing basic features like automatic replies when changing status
    -Admin does not have control over who has access to what. You can set users up by predefined positions such as "super user" but you can't tailor what a "super user" is.
    -The sales, customer service etc. have obviously never been involved in hiring
    -They ask for feedback but only interested in the feedback they want to hear on useless features that do not aid in hiring.
    -Calendar feature does not sync with all versions of outlook making it completely useless
    -The design features and look are horrible
    -To post on paid sites you must save credit card information that all Admins have access too.

    I like that it is user friendly and that they are always willing to help you in anyway they can. They were willing to modify their existing program to better suit our needs which speaks volumes to how much they care about their customers and how they are willing to do the extra mile.

    The program itself could be streamlined a little better. Something take too many steps to do and could be streamlined down to one.

    JazzHR is very user friendly. I can navigate the site with ease. Whenever I have issues, the support team is quick to offer support and guidance.

    Cons

    There can be glitches with uploading and saving documents which can be frustrating. It is usually resolved by logging in and out but this takes up more time than necessary!
