TSheets is a web-based time tracking software solution that helps owners and managers keep track of employees in real-time from their desk or on the go.

TSheets provides mobile time tracking for employees who either work remotely or change locations or jobs regularly. Employees use their own devices, such as smartphones, computers, mobile apps, text messages or land lines to clock in and out.

This system helps users set up overtime alerts for employees, which can help inform managers before expensive overtime starts. Alerts can be sent to employees, administrators or managers via text message, email or twitter.

TSheets offers labor expenses management with detailed and accurate reporting of all labor expenses, including PTO, overtime and regular time.

TSheets also provides customizable filters that help capture the exact timesheet information sorted by employee, project, date, group, job code and payroll period. Mobile apps are available for Android and iOS.

We just started using TSheets for our time cards and I love the feature where you can see where all employees are at all times.

Cons

It has taken some of the employees some time trying to remember to clock in and out so that has been a bit of a pain.

There are a bunch of things that i'm sure are functionally good, if I ever figure out how to use them properly.

Cons

I find the entire layout confusing and the way it outputs hours is very complicated. It also automatically setup breaks and clocked out my staff without me setting it up and the explanation I was given as to why it happened was not good enough.

This program has allowed us to schedule and track jobs with ease. Keeping track of jobs and related technicians together is very valuable to us.

Cons

It has taken a bit if trial and error to be able to utilize all the features. We still don't require all of the features but, they are still available.

Overall, I love it and so do our employees!

Pros

This is easy to use even for our non-techy employees. I love that I'm able to upload hours to Excel and print for our records. It's easily assessable through the app on our phones.

Cons

It's a little annoying that there are no editing functions to employees hours through the phone app. I have to wait to access those functions through the website on my laptop.

Pros

Great tool, with almost no learning curve.
The customer service is incredible.
Valuable integrations.

Cons

The limit of Tsheets is their partners. If the payroll processor doesn't support, billable hours (for example) than that information won't make it into the Ledger for billing. Not TSheets fault, their partners need to step it up.

Pros

I like how it tracks time for our multiple jobs for multiple employees. I like the GPS feature it has in order to track our employees locations.

Cons

It took some time to get used to and I would like a few other features then wat it offers but am confident in time they will update to those features.

TSheets customer service is outstanding and so helpful. The live chat is so easy to use and they have quick response.

Pros

I think the features for tracking time and location are so easy to use. It has made processing payroll much easier and much faster.

Cons

Sometimes the GPS does not work real well and we have to remind the guys to update the program. We have it set that the GPS must be on for them to use the app but somehow they are still able to log in and clock in with out the tracking feature.

Cons

Scheduling feature could be a bit more robust as well as the integration with Gusto. It's not really beneficial for us since each employee has a few diff. pay rates.

Everything! The PTO accruals is awesome, configurability is great, super user-friendly. I've had many staff members tell me how much they like it compared to our old system. As a manager, I have instant visibility into my employee's workdays :)

Cons

The only issue I have is that all users require a paid account. We have a few management staff that need access to our staff schedule but do not track or submit time so unless we pay for an account for them, they cannot view the shift schedule to check on staff attendance. We moved from outlook shared calendars for scheduling to TSheets and this has been the only draw-back.
If I have to be super nit-picky, the only other disadvantage with this calendar switch is the inability in the weekley view to see a difference in start and end times for staff. A shift filles the entire rowe regardless of start or end time, outlook was nice for this as at a glance I could see who was covering the later shifts without having to check the start times in the weekley view. Daily view does display like this however.

Cons

The layout of the time entries. We have to manually calculate OT as travel is charged straight, so it's a bit jumbled when I go in to pull the time for the week.

Pros

The payroll report is great it allows us to speedily run payroll and bill our customers. I wish I could see the payroll report for all my employees via the app and not just the web.

Cons

time entry by number of hours is cumbersome, especially via the app. It's many button clicks and then you have to use a scrolling number thing rather than type 8.5 for instance I have to scroll through two dials.

It is a great tool, where we can track all our employees, schedule jobs and see where our employees are when they are clocked in. Every time I need assistance from Customer Service I had a very good response right a way, even when during the trial period. TSheets just works. The sync between QuickBooks and Tsheets is flawless and has saved us hours of data entry.

Cons

TSheets needs a full fledged PTO approval system. Managers need to be able to approve PTO without it instantly going to their timecard.

Ease of use; its has a mobile app and that it interfaces with QuickBooks to save dual tasks and manual input.

Cons

Limited canned reports - have to do everything in excel and can save as templates; QuickBooks interface not easy to manage - like to see more of a "click of button" approach with master file setup in background that controls this functionality and what will be pulled into QuickBooks from TSheets before performing the interface upload.

I like how easy it is to set up the fields and functions. I also like how you can track expenses associated with certain functions. It is a powerful tool with very little cost. I use it for myself in tracking my own time, but I could see how useful it would be to use with employees too.

Cons

The set up at first is a little tricky, but they also reached out to me right away and asked if they could help get everything setup.

Pros

Time tracking our employees and being able to GPS their whereabouts is an awesome feature. Additionally, I like that if I have a question I can chat with someone online every day.

Cons

The calendar could be better. I would like to book things years in advance. I would like to be able to seek out an appointment by client name.

I like it has GPS on the app. It works great for out in the field people to clock in and out to specific jobs. I highly recommend it for the construction industry

The GPS is not the greatest. It may track an employee that was never at the pinpoints in the map. Can be a little irritating.

Pros

It has many functions, such as assigning a location, break times and frequencies, whether or not it is overtime pay, and it looks like a traditional timesheet. So it is a easier transition to a online or digital interface. Costumer service replied within less than 2 hours!

Cons

I found it a little tricky to use on the computer, as the tabs to select different sections disappear if you go to a different page. I had trouble editing business information.

Cons

individual entries can be cumbersome, could see this being more of an issue for larger organizations.

The employees feel more connected to the company. More efficient at tracking the time they spend on each job/customer. Less data entry for the bookkeeper as that alone will save time and money. I am recommending this product to my other clients!

Pros

The thing I like most is that it integrates with QuickBooks wonderfully!! The employees are more responsible with getting their time entered to the correct Job/Customer and very convenient to enter time on their phones when the job started and ended that day.

Cons

Just would like to be able to tweak the reporting a little more. Would like the weekly time sheet report to total hours by day in a printable format, just like I see on the screen.

The system automatically calculates hours, over-time, and vacation time for each employee based on our guidelines. Makes running payroll so much easier!

Pros

There are so many ways to customize the system to work for your team. You can add and subtract permissions on a per person basis, create special OT rules, PTO rules, and schedules for each employee or for groups of employees as you define them.

Cons

The GPS tracking does not update as well as we would like. Sometimes there is a ten minute or more lag in when it will update someone's location.

Wish it used a multiplier to track cost of an employee to time spent on a project. This would help us know how much to bill for projects in our contracts

The ease of it syncing with quickbooks

Pros

It makes keeping time for staff easy. It puts the responsibility on the staff to make sure they are clocking in and out and I love the fact that it sync's with quickbooks with makes it even better.

Cons

So far, just the issue of Web Connect not working , it has happened twice, once when I upgraded quickbooks to new version and the 2nd time, we are not sure what caused it
