I have used several other platforms throughout my career, and Paylocity is by far the best. One of the things I appreciate most is how easy and intuitive the platform is to use. It is designed for people with varying levels of technical experience, making it approachable and easy to navigate even for those who may not feel especially comfortable with technology. #### Cons I was not as satisfied with the benefits module. Opening a qualifying life event was not as intuitive as I expected, and the system did not provide enough visibility or communication to help me understand where each team member was in the enrollment process. The performance management module also requires more manual work than I would prefer. For example, when a team member’s supervisor changes, the assigned performance reviews do not automatically transfer or repopulate for the new supervisor. They are receptive to feedback and continue to make improvements that better support their clients’ needs. #### Cons Overall, our experience with Paylocity has been positive. We did experience some bumps during implementation, particularly in areas where expectations were set higher than what was ultimately delivered. However, I appreciate that Paylocity is continually striving to improve its system, listens to client feedback, and continues to make enhancements to better meet client needs. #### Reasons for choosing Paylocity Overall, our experience with Paylocity has been very positive. We chose Paylocity over other payroll providers because of their relationship with RateSmith and the ability to provide a more complete employee experience, beginning with the job posting and continuing through onboarding, payroll, benefits, and the employee’s ongoing experience. We made the decision to leave ADP due to system limitations, challenges with vendor relationships, and ongoing customer service concerns. While we experienced a few bumps during Paylocity’s implementation and there were some areas where expectations did not fully match what was delivered, their team has been very helpful in working with us to find a middle ground or alternative solution. One of the biggest positives has been their accessibility. We are able to reach someone across departments when we need assistance, and they are receptive to feedback and continually working to improve their system. We appreciate their willingness to partner with us and find solutions, and overall, we are very happy that we made the switch to Paylocity. #### Reasons for switching to Paylocity Overall, our experience with Paylocity has been very positive. We made the switch from ADP due to system limitations, challenges with vendor relations, and ongoing customer service concerns. While we had a few bumps during Paylocity’s implementation and some areas did not deliver exactly as initially expected, the difference in support has been significant. The Paylocity team is very helpful and easy to reach across departments. When something cannot work exactly as originally anticipated, they are willing to work with us to find a middle ground or alternative solution. I love the compliance trainings and use them a lot. I also love that we can add our own trainings to Paylocity. Onboarding is easy . I appreciate how much Paylocity asks for feedback and admire the way they give notices/training when making an update, such as with the new pay grid. #### Cons It is a little frustrating whenever glitches don't get addressed super quickly. Such as not being able to download the performance reviews. At first it was great. We always were connected with a person that was easily understood. Now it is hit or miss. The technology, UI, robust set up and the customer set up and support are absolutely outstanding. I find Paylocity to be extremely user friendly and easy to use. The support team always answers the phone, even of you cant reach your account Mgr immediately. The knowledge articles provide easy to read, step by step instructions. Processing payroll is automated and integrated with lots of check and balances. The Preprocessing reports, especially the Comparison report is extremely helpful in ensuring quality assurance. #### Cons Creating custom reports can be tricky but the Report Writing team is very helpful. Sometimes you receive different answers from different service reps when there is a new feature, for example OB3. Finally, The Comparison report would have much more value if there was a comparison of hours, today's version only compares earnings. #### Reasons for choosing Paylocity WFN was cost prohibitive and not as user friendly as Paylocity. #### Reasons for switching to Paylocity We were interested in adding additional features that QB did not offer. Getting set up with Paylocity was a game changer for those of us responsible for processing payroll and even more so for our employees. The system is very user friendly, and it allowed us to better track time for our hourly employees, it gave us a variety of reports that we never had access to, it provided more detailed information to the employee, and the price was extremely reasonable. Over time, we migrated to their HR modules and were able to use it to onboard new employees, thereby eliminating the antiquated paper process we used previously. Even with little training, its simple to navigate around the different fields. When updates or changes are made to the system there are helpful guides to walk you through the new processes. Paylocity also offers helpful step-by-step guides for more difficult tasks that are well written and easy to follow. Time tracking and HR are easy to keep track of within their respective fields. Creating reports is effortless and as there are multiple filters that you can use to sort and arrange your data. I appreciate that they offer onboarding packages for new employees to streamline the hiring process. #### Cons Customer support can be difficult to reach, especially in the last 12 months. Wait times are long and it feels like there is a big disparity in training and knowledge of the system depending on who you speak with. I wish that there was multi-factor authentication when you signed in as opposed to when you are mid-way through a task. If you have poor cell phone service at work this creates delays. Its also difficult/impossible to authenticate through your work landline if you have an extension.
