Pros/Cons
  • Pros

  • We are really impressed with their default private repository feature and other cool stuff, great tool to start with. Also the pricing is very reasonable.
  • It’s great that bitbucket connect to all the other applications like jira tracking our progress or even confluence to write our testimony about our code or feature we want todo in the future.
  • It works good with our team and we have a good way to share codes across offices together with project managers. It's good for testing and implementation and it is pretty easy to do so.
  • Cons

  • Sometimes both services don't communicate well and I end up wasting valuable time trying to find the problem from my side, just to find later, that the problem was in their side.
  • If you don't know where and how exactly configure it you will be completely lost on it.
  • Sometimes I felt the UI was not very intuitive and sometime it was even hard to make a simple action as creating a branch or deleting a branch, those little things slowly crawl up and makes you tired.

  • Pros

  • Some of the best benefits of github is that they give some great perks to students with Github Student Pack which helps students grow without investing anything.
  • It has a Very easy to use platform to help you find the script you need for any project. Tons of great scripts at good prices.
  • The overall experience is great. I have been using Github since 10+ years now and the experience is superb.
  • Cons

  • GitHub has been criticized for its user interface, which can be confusing and difficult to use.
  • The only thing I personally dislike about GitHub is the merging capabilities and resolving the code conflicts. It becomes a hell sometimes while resolving the conflicts to merge the code.
  • Initial setup for beginners can be confusing. Also, the conflict resolver is tricky.
