About Cacoo

Cacoo is an idea management software that helps businesses create wireframes and share work schedules with staff members. The platform enables managers to create layouts, mind maps, organizational charts, unified modeling language (UML) diagrams and more on a unified interface.

Administrators can collaborate with team members via video calls and chat functionality on various plans. Additionally, Cacoo allows supervisors to add comments and provide feedback on diagrams.

Cacoo lets businesses integrate the system with several third-party applications including Box, Confluence, Google Docs, Microsoft Teams and Slack.

Amazing, simple and easy to use

I use it mainly to make mindmaps, some wireframes and to design the fluxogram of apps.

Pros:

It´s very intuitive, its interface is getting better every day with UX improvements. It just does what it´s supposed to do.

Cons:

I don´t have any complaints. The one improvement that I wish is a keyboard shortcut for zooming in an out.

Ease of drawing and the availability of shapes helps to easily explain the idea to other people

Cons:

Can add option to add more icons as currently only images can be imported

it was not very intuitive and the charts are not that great

Cacoo a friendly software

I use it to prepare some draws on my business work... just previous workflows draws sended to my engynering team.

Good, but at least provide access to the diagrams which I have created in free mode so that I do not have to upgrade to just download my files

Diagram Creation, ease of brainstorming and getting my idea to the actual design. Good for team collaboration.

Cons:

File Management, unable to just download my diagrams on free account. Just to download upgrading is not intuitive.

Affordable. Very Good Support.

Well when I do process mapping or flowcharting to any systems, sub-systems, or components, Cacoo's toolbelt and customization options were flawless. The only problem is the Interaction Design when I do wireframing. But I know Cacoo is not really built for ID, so its all good.

Pros:

Default templates are useful and very easy to modify depending on your needs. Drag and Drop editor is crazy easy.

Cons:

Interaction Design in wireframing. Allowing to transition within 1 page (not sheets).

Reasons for switching to Cacoo

Framer is too complicated for wireframing. It was really built for prototyping I guess. Lucidchart is too complicated for diagramming and flowcharting.

A simple to use and powerful tool

Cacoo provides a clear and easy way to produce diagrams describing complex technical solutions which are then understandable to less technical stake holders

Pros:

Cacoo provides an incredibly easy to use platform for creating in depth analysis and design diagrams. The interface is intuitive mean no real requirement to train users to access features and be able to quickly produce business ready design artefacts.

Cons:

Until Cacoo rolled out google SSO, logging into the product was tesious as it would bounce you from NuLab to Cacoo credentials. However now that is resolved I have little to complain about.

Reasons for switching to Cacoo

Visio was expensive and overly complicated with little benefit for all the additional features

Cacoo is the perfect software for many usage

Easy to learn and use, Cacoo let you make fast and great diagram for any usage. Nice to make mockup, especially with linked items that let you have a full interactive mock of your app. The software is also accurate enough to make some graphical mockup And as you can export them as PDF with link, you can even share them with everyone! The collaborative tools make this even easier and open Cacoo to a whole new set of usage. As its easy to use and share, you can have a very nice whiteboard to share with remote collaborator when brainstorming. And last but not least, the versioning system let you edit as far as you want any diagram without the fear of losing anything in the process :)

Easy to use. Powerfull. Got some great features.

Cons:

There is really nothing I can really complain about on Cacoo. Expect the fact that the very old diagrams made with the very old flash engine are not upgradable to the current one. That's really all.

Reasons for switching to Cacoo

Cacoo is just way more complete than the other software we was using, and let us having just one soft instead of many one. Also, in most of case, Cacoo was just way better than the other anyway :)

MasterTool

An excellent tool for mindmapping and creating presentations. The link-function is very usefull. Just something I will really recomend to my team.

Adaptable and easy to understand. Good range of options for export. Intuitive functions makes it easy to create fast setups.

Cons:

Strugeling to center automatic when jumping between sheets. And it would be nice if the system "remember" previous/last settings for frame, shadow and such.

Easy to use and super simple to set up. Really helpful for breaking down difficult subjects. Affordable.

Cons:

Annoying to learn initially. Minor complaints about set up and explanations provided by the system and unfortunately not entirely free.

Cons:

Value for the money, took to much time to try and understand how to work it had to get ahold of customer support
