Vagaro Software


 

Vagaro is a cloud-based salon, spa and fitness business management solution that allows professionals to book appointments and manage various facility roles. It offers an integrated solution to manage bookkeeping, payroll, client databases and inventory management, as well as featuring email and text notifications to clients and automated email marketing.

Users can list available appointment slots, and customers can then look for salon facilities nearby and book appointments through Vagaro’s website or the Vagaro app. VagaroPro, the business app, is available for Android and iOS smartphones.

Users can create customizable promotional web pages to showcase upcoming events and special offers through Vagaro’s website or connect with their customers through email and social media platforms. Customers can also create personalized profiles with their contact information, booking history and feedback. Users can keep records of their customer service histories and generate customizable reports with graphs and charts to track business performance, customer retention and more.

Cons

When using my finger On my iphone to move an appointment that is over a few hours long trying to slide it is a pain. It jumps all over the place.
I wish I could put a customers Tip in before sliding their card. Also trying to do a Cash and Credit Card payment is a pain. This is all through the mobile checkout. When trying to sell an inventory item that shows 0 in stock it wont let you sell the product. I have to go in and add it.

It has many features for a very affordable cost. Very helpful and straightforward. The free trial was very helpful, gave enough time to really get to know the product and make sure it was a good fit before investing. The texting/email feature is very appealing and easy to apply.

Cons

So worth the money! It gave me everything that my old site gave me and it is super easy to use for both me and my clients. As a matter of fact, my clients compliment the Vagaro sites ease of use ALL the time.

Cons

The ONLY thing that I don't get from this site is package sharing. The client has to buy a gift cert and use the same number for all on the account.

Overall this is great software. For our business it works so well. There is other great competitive companies out there but I would probably say Vagaro has the best Customer support around.

Pros

The customer service is incredible. They are always knowledgeable and polite. The app and website is very easy to use.

Cons

Vagaro doesn't have a bluetooth chip/card reader. They have been working on this for a while but this would be so beneficial for our company.

the online booking is available for booking without being able to manage how far out. For myself anyways I would like an option to open up select days/hours for a selected time (1 wk out or two weeks out ect) so I could change it as needed as my hours could be different ea week or so.

Loving it! Was using millennium for 13 years and Vagaro transferred all the data we wanted and set up was much easier than anticipated!

Pros

Easy to train, easy to use. Literally getting rid of our front desk after 17 years. There’s no need for it. I have already reduced my front desk hours by 25 hours a week due to online bookings. My practitioners are now checking out their own clients and Prebooking before clients leave the room.

Cons

Missing a couple functions in the payments function. Not a big deal though.

The program is decent. I really didn't use the program so I can't comment on the software.

Cons

If you don't use the Vagaro system they make it difficult to cancel! I canceled my membership in May and the continued to charge my credit card! There was no cancel option on my account like they advertise, so I had to call them. Told them I had canceled in May and asked why I was still being charged. They told me that I clicked on the account and it reactivated it and they were not sure if I could get my money back! I clicked on the account to make sure it was canceled, it was still active and I was concerned. I had no idea that would reactivate Vagaro to charge my account again!

We again sent you the cancellation instructions. I use Vagaro to schedule my haircut - or rather, my hair stylist uses Vagaro for her scheduling, and I use it to make appointments with her. It's easy to use, I can choose from a list of options, and I've never had a problem scheduling anything.

I like that this program has a downloadable app so I can access my schedule anywhere. Its fairly easy to use.

Cons

I don't like that the payment swiper costs you money at all since i can do paypal at no cost for a swiper. I also don't like that vagaro takes all your transaction fees at the end of the month vs. Right out of each transaction.

I find this software much simpler than mindbody. Its nice to have options for functionality but at some point those options can add more complexity which is something we had trouble with while working with mindbody.

We have found that sometimes text confirmations do not work and that is the thing i like least about this software.

None. No Facebook Pixel.

I know a ton of clients that jumped off StyleSeat or something similar to jump on Vagaro--and they are happy. However . . .

Cons

A feature that is often requested and ignored is to be able to add the Facebook Pixel to their client booking page. This is a HUGE FAIL! If you believe that FB is awesome for marketing--which is most people--why would you use a service that does not integrate where ALL your clients are?!? I wrote the CEO about this and no avail. I've been in several Vagaro Support chats which are really bad in my limited experience. This is such a shame. There are ways around this pixel thing to track people who landed on your Vagaro page and left, but it's tricky.
