SAP S/4HANA is a cloud-based and on-premise enterprise resource planning (ERP) solution. It is suitable for small, midsize and large businesses in industries such as automotive, engineering, construction, mining, research and development, retail, wholesale, public sector and utilities. Primary features include finance performance measurement, supply chain management, purchasing, contract management, lifecycle management, production cost management and accounting.

Other features include audit trails, compliance reporting, billing, dispute management, production planning, materials requirements planning (MRP), maintenance management, quality management, product lifecycle management, research and development. It offers integration with SuccessFactors Employee Central, Ariba, SAP Financial Services, SAP Fieldglass and SAP Hybris Cloud for Customer.

Support is offered via email and over a phone. Other help options include preferred care, support portal, self-help portal, guided resources, online chat and online case submission. Mobile applications are available for iOS, Android and Windows phones.

Pros

1- Data processing speed is better than any other ERP with it's in memory Technology incorporated in the system
2- Very secure from user security setup to data encryption and patching.
3- easy to use interface for users
4- it comes with best practice for any business, so you only need to follow their defined process for your business
5- it has all the modules any business will need "Financials, auto payment, Purchasing, Material Management and Monitor, Treasury Management, online bidding and More.
6- Easily integrate with other systems if you have other operational Systems
7- it has Powerful HCM that manage Employee life cycle " Recruitment with auto screening and staging - onboarding - Transaction Payroll - Training and developing - Performance Management and succession planing
8- Reporting and Analysis tools to help evaluate company performance.
9- Budgeting and planning through out the System

Cons

1- cost of acquiring the software or the needed hardware.
2- implementation time and cost are very high compared to other ERP systems
3- Maintenance contract cost is also high.
4- the need for a dedicated experienced team to Administrate the system
5- the need for the company to define all its processes before purchasing such huge system as you may spend more than what's actually needed for your operations to run

Sap financial tool

Good only 2 months ago that I use sap, even it costs me a little bit the routes to be able to do the job quickly, however sap has allowed me to take an organized work, I can check credit notes with invoices and also with payments automatically After entering the necessary data for this process, in addition the updated reports allow me to control the expenses and the availability of the company.

Pros

Sap allows me to take control of my suppliers, as well as the history of billing and payments through orders, on the other hand it gives me updated reports of the management of each user that uses the tool.

Cons

It is not a friendly application, it is complex and you must know the routes to be able to perform an exceptional job, you must also take care of the records to avoid duplicates of payments or invoices in my case that develop these activities.

Help to software buyers

Sometimes, we can not know exactly the person who make input data wrongly due to one SAP account for 3 or 4 personnel.

Pros

Can input the Financial data such as Account Receiable , Account Payable , Budget v.s Actual result , daily revenue , Purchase Order etc.

Cons

This software user account for employee is expensive. So , only 15 personnel can access SAP user account in 35 personnel in our department.

Hard to understand

This is an amazing piece of software however to get the most out of most SAP products you have to keep buying new stuff

Pros

there is a lot of information about this product online and gives a lot of time to look through the detailed videos, booklets and articles about the product

Cons

A every complicated piece of software and hard to understand. Have to spend a lot of money on training for this software

Worth the Price!

Pros

Our company was coming from an extremely static and out-dated ERP system so this solution was an absolute breath of fresh air! From the report builder to the Accounting modules, and the ability to have the entire system run in the cloud we couldn't go wrong.

Cons

Implementation was rough for us at first, so definitely allot more than enough time for users to get acclimated to the system whether there's 10 users or 100. The system also had some issues connecting to our SharePoint Online system to save reports and files generated from SAP but that was later corrected.

SAP. Vital to the day to day work.

I would had someone familiarized with the software before buying SAP, but otherwise, its almost risk free.

Pros

The amount of work time and workload SAP reduces its staggering, we would had been overwhelm by work otherwise. It streamlines information. its one in all application so you dont need any other kind of software unless you require some specified function.

Cons

My only Con with the software its entry level knowledge required to use it to its full potential. Granted, there is material online and their technical support is top notch so everyone can learn.

Pros

Has my options and can be set up for any business. There are also templates to save you time on things you do often.

Cons

Learning to use it was not simple and pulling up data is not straight forward. There are a bunch of codes you have to save for basic orders or searchers.

Pros

It helped with just-in-time inventory, and once we got the kinks worked out, it greatly reduced delinquent accounts receivable.

Cons

There is definitely a steep learning curve, so implementation was taxing as best. But worth the effort!

SAP becomes a sine qua non for corporations

Pros

The amount of possibilities of implementations using SAP Hana Cloud Platform is enormous. I consider it as a must-have for enabling the steady growth of a company.

Cons

The SAP prices are high - not only in terms of using the system, but mostly in terms of any developments - Business Process Architects are highly demanded on market which makes it pricey to develop new functions (IT as well), but the highest price is the consultants, especially from SAP. This all sums up to a very high cost for a great software.

it has nice interphase and is easy to use. although it has it's cons' but i can alway recommend SAP to business owners and company's decision makers time after time.

Pros

Amazing software very good in coordinating purchasing orders
SAP helps in efficient inventory management
It does financial forecasting better and help in business decision processes
Daily activities such as sale-in and sales-out are properly monitored, saving time and avoiding information impartial

Cons

the idea of paying monthly for maintenance and upkeeps may scare some people away. so it would be nice if a temporal version can be released to help people make decision after trying thing out.
