Regpack Software


 

Regpack is a cloud-based event management software solution designed for small and midsize companies. This product offers event registration, attendee management, client management, event sponsorship and travel and ticketing functionalities in a single solution.

Regpack allows users to build customized forms for capturing attendee details. Forms can also be embedded on the event website. The platform also offers payment processing functionality, so customers can make payments using credit cards or electronic transfer methods.

Regpack features an automatic communications module, which allows users to send trigger-based emails such as payment notifications and event updates. Customized reporting and dashboards allow users to track and analyze event and attendee statistics. This data gives a complete overview of the user's event management process.

Cons

At times it is a bit complicated to navigate, you have to know what you are doing, but the customer support is always helpful in providing solutions.

Once I got passed the learning curve, I am very pleased with Regpack! I really consider them a partner going forward for all of our event registration needs.

Pros

I am completely impressed with the functionality and flexibility of the software. The communication with the registrant is totally customizable and user-friendly.

Cons

There are so many features and options, it can be a little overwhelming. Fortunately, customer service is very responsive and patient and the instructional videos are very helpful.

Regpack has provided us with a one stop shop location for all our programs! It is easy to use, and we can have multiple administrators which is exactly what we need for our organization!

Pros

We love how easy it is to create forms, projects and feature products! Regpack has made it so easy to fill out our programs!

Cons

The only problem we have run into is not being able to feature products in both USD and CAD, as we deal with both in our organization.

I just switched from a competitor and I am mostly happy with that decision. The much higher credit card rates and extra hassle with financial reports have caused me some second thoughts. However, I feel the pros outweigh the cons in this case.

Pros

Powerful and a nice interface on both the back end and user end. It takes some time to learn how to do everything, but once you "get" it, you will find you can do almost anything you need to. Pricing is very reasonable relative to similar products out there.

Cons

There are definitely some bugs and glitches here and there. Nothing deal-breaking, but I hope they will be remedied. I'm slightly concerned about reliability. I have only used the product a few months and I've noticed it go down (both back end and user end) twice already. It came back up pretty quickly, but that is concerning to me. The credit card rates are very high and you're almost forced to use their processor (there are some exceptions but it is detrimental to the user experience. Financial reporting could be better. If you have multiple projects going at one time and need to financially keep them separate, you'll find this frustrating. Support is pretty good, but be prepared to wait 24-48 hours for an answer.

Pros

The automated billing schedule was nice for members to see.

Cons

Though it is a very detailed system, it is very confusing from the back end, as well as front end. We had multiple glitches with billing, as well as the coupon code space. It also did not send out automated reminder emails. Lastly, amid all the technically issues, customer service was very poor. They do not handle any issues over the phone and ask you to email - which then takes minimum 2 days for every reply. We had issues with our members' billing and I still have not been able to speak to someone to resolve issues after a week has passed.

I¿m sorry you found the back end confusing. We did provide you several trainings before your system went live, in addition to a Project Manager who built out your system for you.

The glitches you are referring to seem to be related to changes you made to your system that didn¿t do what you had intended, including setting up discounts incorrectly. The support team is always available to help review and advise changes.

Our support team will schedule calls when necessary but email (w/same day average response time) is the best way we feel we can offer the best quality support. Every system is unique and complex. Emails and scheduled calls allow us to really delve into your system, understand the problem, and give the most helpful response.

I hope the call you had yesterday with our client success manager was productive.

Overall, it has served our needs quite well. We run an annual event where our student event where they have to register for sessions they'd like to attend. Our first year we tried using Google forms and it was a nightmare.

Pros

Great value! Good support. Copying of events does not require you to re-build your event program in the system from the ground up every time you repeat it (which we do, once a year). Seems to play well with other systems (exporting data, etc.).

Cons

I wish it was a little more intuitive/user-friendly. That being said, we only use it once a year, so we forget how to use certain features after having not used it for 9 months or so!

Pros

The fact that we had a project manager from the very beginning to set up the structure for our registration was really helpful, mostly because we didn't know anything about the software and we needed to open the registration soon. Also we had a training session that help us to understand more the software and be independent. I think this software is friendly for new users and it is ideal if you want to collect all sort of information from the attendees and even payments. Finally Regpack was great to generate quick and easy reports.

Cons

I would to have the costumer service to be more direct, for now it only allows to send messages with a response of 24 hours. Sometime it is easier and faster to get answers with a phone call.

Overall after using the software for several months, there's almost no way we're going back to our old ways of using several different pieces of software to achieve a convoluted goal. There's no one place to view data, create events, get online payments securely, and create custom reports.

Pros

The customer service at the beginning is great. They have plenty of staff to review your needs and provide solutions. Offering video help tutorials are key, and they provide a bunch to you either that are pre-recorded or to your specific asks. Being able to incorporate this software on a WordPress website allows us to continue to have our brand and familiarity with a new user experience without ever leaving our website.

Cons

Maybe there are too many options right out of the gate. You may need a bit of hand holding through your first few projects. Being able to copy projects for future use is key. You're able to set a project to your exact liking then just use that as a template for your new projects. There is no phone support, but the online ticketing feature does provide great feedback in a day or two.

FANTASTIC! Great customer support, very powerful and easy to use. The system was able to handle 400 registrations in just an HOUR with no problems. We had no clue that so many attendees would be so excited to register for our event and were thrilled that RegPack handled the workload without issues.

Pros

Our regional planning team has used RegPack for years to organize a 1,000+ person annual, professional development event. Regpack is powerful, easy to use and affordable.

Cons

The only function we would like to add is the ability for attendees to create/update an account without being able to see/register for "products." This is a very small concern but it "would be nice."

We had challenges communicating with our members with our prior registration software, as well as challenges compiling information from our families. With RegPack we have been able to really streamline everything and my work load is less because everything can easily be compiled in reports.

Pros

This software has given me the ability to very quickly pull reports such as Allergies for my staff, or cool graphs for my board of directors. I can easily update accounts and add products for our members. It has also made my ability to send pointed e-mails to members, either individual or mass, so much easier!

Cons

Our billing department has found the software more challenging to pro-rate and manipulate than our previous service, but other than that, it has been wonderful.
