PurelyHR Software


 

PurelyHR is a cloud-based leave management solution for small to midsize businesses. The system’s core modules allow HR departments to track staff leave requests and approvals as well as manage diverse time off policies and hierarchies. Additional modules include time clock and timesheet solutions and an e-signature platform for warnings and other important HR related documents.

The HRIS module provides a self-service portal where employees can view and update their profiles. Administrators and HR personnel can access a searchable employee database and manage HR documents. The time clock and time off modules allow employees to track attendance and request absences, which can be tracked for future reference.

The timesheet module can be formatted to suit users’ needs and offers a comment feature. PurelyHR modules can be selected and customized depending on company requirements.  

Support is available over the phone, via email and through an online support center. Pricing is per user per month.

PurelyHR has allowed me to easily manage all my staff's RTO , sick hours, etc. If you have a decent amount of salary employees, PurelyHR is absolutely needed.

Pros

About 35% of my entire staff is salary, so I have a lot of people I need to track when it comes to sick days, paid vacation time, etc. PurelyHR helps with all of that! My employees can submit their time off through the program and I am able to approve or deny it through there as well. I really like how I can easily see how many days off an employee is taken so I know if they are over their vacation time or not. Their customer support is fantastic as well

Cons

No cons with this software, we enjoy using it and find it very user friendly

PurelyHR is straight-forward. It's nice to explore and see who in your organization has taken time off. It definitely gets straight to the point in my time-off requests and how many days I have to take off in each category. My favorite feature is the prediction feature. As a new full-time employee, I have to wait to use my vacation days. So, I can see in the future how many days I'll be able to take off, and plan accordingly.

Cons

It can be very "nosy" with the whole feature of seeing who is taking off on what days, but on the other hand, can be very useful in terms of finding out who is in the office when you need a project to be completed by them. Other than that, I believe it's a solid HR software.

Purely HR is easy to use. It allows us to quickly and easily submit and approve time off requests as well as access time off documentation and reporting.

Cons

I manage several employees and It can be difficult to toggle between my personal profile and the profile of my employees.

Time off Tracking and STAFF calendar

Pros

Ease of use. Calendar function. Setting up timed email reports. Management reporting. Customer support team has answered any questions we had pretty much instantly.

Cons

Customizing accruals for midyear hires is a bit difficult. All else is great. Would like to see the customization function set up a bit more streamlined.

Keeping employee time made easy!

Pros

We jusneeded a basic system that was easy to set up and easy to use. PurelyHR was one of the few companies that met our criteria. Wouldhighly recommend!

Cons

There was a few glitches in getting it set up but their support staff was really easy to work with and got it all sorted out right away.

Customer Service is very helpful to make sure their software is doing what you want and need it to do. It's easily customizable for each employee and for your whole company. Easy to use!

Cons

Our staff runs 100% on Apple, so it would be nice if there was an app for iPhones, but it's definitely not a deal breaker.

Pros

great price. good policy flexibility. attractive platform. user friendly for those on desktop computer.

Cons

There needs to be an app!!!!! The website is not very mobile friendly. The whole point is to encourage our employees to use the system but that is very difficult without an app. Most of our employees do not have desktops but rather mobile devices.

Eliminated a ton of paperwork.

Pros

Very attractive interface, both from the employee and supervisor perspective. Eliminates the paper work and sign-offs we were using before, information is easy to use for payroll and helps managers have an idea of their staffing levels.

Cons

Initial set up was a bit clumsy, particularly when dealing with unusual accrual rules. We should have implemented over the Christmas break, doing the transfer during regular work is a bit like chasing a moving target.

The system is easy to navigate. I love the calendar feature which shows a visual of employees that are absent from the office.

Cons

One feature I wish Purely HR contains was a way to track employee lateness. The only way I am able to keep track of lateness is in the notes section, which isn't helpful track trends.

This was a godsend to our company as everyone uses Excel spreadsheets to record absence. This system was easy to use, shows your accrual holidays, when a holiday is coming up and most importantly makes it easy for managers to approve.

Cons

You can customise this but that can take time as you would want to adapt this to your HR system aswell.

The ease of keeping track of how many days employees get off and when they take it off and why. Admin made much quicker and easier. Streamlined the whole Paid Time off process. It automatically gives days each year on their hire date.

Pros

The automation in approving time off is great! It really makes things easy and you can make it so there are a set of people that each need to approve in a certain order and then it can also email other people that arent approving it. Which info's people that need to know with the data of whats going on.

Cons

There is a limit in how much data you can put in your time off request comments. This is frustrating because we require each employee to list out all their functions and how they are going to have the covered while they are gone but it isn't long enough for some positions. However, we have a workaround and I hope they fix this soonish.

Helps me manage & book my time off!

Pros

I love how easy this is to use! It makes approvals and booking time off much easier than other systems I've used. I like the email reminders for when you have a holiday coming up (personal or stat) and the quick stats you can get to see what you have left, and have accumulated.

Cons

It takes a few clicks to get into your stats to see what you have left for vacation. I wish it was more obvious but overall have few complaints.

The best thing about the software is that it is easy for employees to ask for paid time off. Most of the time they don't even need a tutorial. It's also very easy for managers to to approve time off.

Cons

Assigning the manager-there seems to be two places you need to do that so the secondary manager doesn't also get the emails. The "allowance" is confusing to our employees because some of them change policies midyear, so a lot of times they don't have a whole 13 or 15 days to use but that's what they think because that's what they see first. They don't know to click on the magnifying glass and scroll down to see their 'max earning for this year.'

I like that we have more options than before the integration of Purely HR, but the lack of support upon change to new system caused former admin to off-set dates 90 days making it very difficult to track & apply correct policies to staff. Now, we are stuck with it as they fear the employee would lose benefits owed to them.

Pros

ease of use once you learn all the factors and set policies correctly, but was rolled over and not set up correctly for the rollover to be smooth so transitioning is still showing bugs to fix

Cons

too many errors with multi-day requests so days off are requested to be one at a time to avoid wrong totals to balance.

I think there are a few specialized reports that would be helpful, but generally it is a great product.

Pros

We were using a very manual and often inaccurate method for tracking our employee time off. Since getting Time Off Manager, we have been able to make this process much more accurate and efficient for both the managers and the employees. Software is very user friendly and users are up and running in minutes.
