ARIA Software

ARIA is an ONC-ATCB certified electronic health record (EHR) and information system catering to oncology practices. The solution enables practitioners to create treatment plans, track number of doses given, and draft prescriptions using customizable templates. The solution also provides an image reviewing system that supports MV, kV, conventional CT, CBCT, MR and PET images. The software evaluates diagnosis-specific data to compare acute responses to treatment and long-term clinical outcomes.

Patient charts can be audited regularly for compliance and identification of any treatment changes required. Documents are recorded electronically with the option to attach images, files, or patient photographs. The software also incorporates a scheduling module for managing tasks and appointments.

ARIA can store patient records and images to local systems, online storage, and third-party PACS. Data can be exchanged between various departments, such as pathology, radiology, pharmacy, lab, and billing. All charges are billed as and when incurred that keeps technical and professional fees separate.

Great Program for Radiation Departments

Overall extremely satisfied with ARIA!

Pros

Easy to upload documents, updated regulary, customer service assistance amazing, easily integrated with other programs, individual access very custamizable, reliable software

Cons

Lots of glitches in reports, doesn't automatically apply electronic time stamp, time can be manipulated based on the personal computer setting instead of being hard coded timed by the database, doesn't put an alert if images are not signed off on before next treatment.

This is a reasonable record and verify products with electronic medical record features

As far as solving meaningful use the different module's could be integrated better

Pros

It captures the ongoing dose accumulated. The tabular form of the different files helps navigate through the electronic medical record

Cons

I think the imaging could be improved as well as the clinical set up offered by Varian at the time of instillation. the software implementation specialists were in a hurry to leave by Friday morning rather than make sure that our instillation was comprehensive.

it is used to provide patient care and do chemo orders

Pros

nothing. there is nothing that makes this product desirable in its current format.

Cons

user unfriendly. cannot connect easily with other systems. does not do electronic scripts well and does not do schedule 2 drugs electronically. poor spell check, inability to easily automatically add phrases, does not track total chemo doses well or in a location that is readily accessible, cannot view radiology images, inadequate ordering system for labs and imaging tests--cannot easily attach diagnoses. staging systems are antiquated and wrong--they were changed years ago and aria has not updated to current staging system. very cumbersome and slow method to choose icd 10 codes. many codes not even loaded onto the system. the font is way too small and cannot be adjusted. cannot bold text.
