Value for Money

This is an issue trackings tool.thi software helps to manage issue in an efficient manner. It allows you to create sprints, issues add estimations assign issue and start working on them. We can also use Jira to track the project documentation. You can create various types of issues like improvements, bugs, epic, story, tasks, sub tasks etc. We can add comments as per the changing requirements on the issue and add worklog to track the total time required to complete the issue. We can use the Jira workflow to manage the issue in each phase of the software development life cycle.

Pros

Easy to use.
It is fimilar across the boundries.
We can integrate the third party tools like hipchat.

Cons

It is slightly costly to use for the small scale project. There is no proper impormation about each module in the software for example help tips.

Value for Money

Pros

It helps me complete my everyday tasks, enabling a great team environment and to keep track of our tasks. It will help you get track of your monthly or even yearly work and when it comes to produce your annual report all information will be there for you to use it.

Cons

When you start using it, you will not want to go back to more traditional methods such as using a white board with paper. Sometimes you need to implement some small features to create integrations with your company software and the API even tough it's huge, it misses in some flexibility here and there.

As a software company we use jira to track the overall progress of our product development along with bugs tracking reported by QA. With all the progress in one place, each stackholders are able to collaborate and contribute to the development of a better product. It makes taking feedbacks really easy.

Pros

The most useful feature of jira to it's search query. It literally allows us to write sql type query to search issues. Also as a agile user, we can create boards and track each sprints progress. As a team manager it becomes easier to track and organize what others afw working on. Also since it is a Atlassian product, it provides out of the box integration with bitbucket.

Cons

Sometimes updating multiple fields for bulk issues becomes tedious since all the fields are not available for transitioning. I faced this while updating thr status of an issue and assigning it to other user.

It is a great tool for dev teams and it facilitates the communication between marketers and developers. We report problems, bugs, and necessities. They respond to our needs in a constant and structured manner by periodically releasing new improvements.

Pros

Jira facilitates the management of software and application development activities.

It is easy to report issues, bugs or other tasks adding them into the application backlog. Each report can be sort according to its priority and can be easily added to a specific sprint together with other tasks. Reports may be assigned to specific users and have specific status to be updated during the development work.

Each variations is notified by emails to make teamwork really effective.

According to the reports collected into Jira, dev teams may properly organize their work to release constantly and effective new features. Every sprint and version can be analyzed to control the development progresses.

Jira offers the possibility to manage multiple tasks under one single project.

There are specific sections, views, and filters which help you find the info and reports you need. You can check and compare the performances among different users.

Cons

You can’t assign a task to multiple users, only subtasks. It is not so easy to find information regarding mentions and comments related to single users except checking your emails.

Pros

I am the manager of our inventory procurement and we use many IT enabled tools each day to manage inventory.

That being said, lots of these tools will break or go down.

Solution you may ask? Email our support team! Any of our support emails (ITSupport / WebSupport / etc) are backed with JIRA.

I love how easy it is to keep track of my tickets I put in with logging into the JIRA platform. This is where you can track and check status of your tickets.

I feel like the IT side of this is probably just as clean but from a PC user and JIRA ticket creater - it couldnt work any better.

Cons

The only bad side IMO is that my tickets are not getting solved in a timely fashion. This is not a bad thing at all about JIRA but more about the efficiency of our IT department.

I really haven't had any bad experiences to put any CONS here that are noteworthy

If Agile methodology is the ship that you use to build software, JIRA acts as the oars that keep it moving. It's now so much more than just Agile though - it can be an organizations to-do list on crack if used correctly and it's platform houses thousands of plug-ins that can make it all work for you.

Pros

JIRA is fully customizable and fully scalable so it can work at any organization. It started as a place that tech companies could monitor, manage and document their engineering work to build software but now business users can wield the tool for digitizing their efforts as well.

Cons

It has the ability to get clunky. Because of its scalability, a seemingly unlimited amount of projects, issue types, and custom fields can clutter the user interface. This makes it tougher to find what you're looking for, and even worse leaves skeletons of outdated projects and information laying around taking up space.
