Pros

The Symantec Endpoint software is great at detecting viruses, trojans, etc. It is also good at putting dangerous files in quarantine.

Cons

The price of the program is a bit much. The messages that pop-up on the right side of the screen can become annoying too.

Pros

Symantec has a good pricing structure for SMB, and is easy to deploy across all of our computers. It is easy to use and updates regularly.

Cons

When scanning the system, it slows down the computer to the point it becomes almost unusable. I often recommend that our team members run the scan as they leave for the day.

Pros

With Symantec Endpoint protection, we felt that our systems were better protected against threats than several other protection programs on the market. We purchased several 1-year licenses before deploying it on our entire network, and the virus definitions were updated with new protections regularly.

Cons

When it was scanning our system, the computers were unusable. Even when scanning a large incoming file downloaded from a cloud storage website, I would get up and get a coffee as I couldn't do anything on my computer.

Pros

This software is great to have as it has the ability to protect your information and business systems from cyber attacks. Cyber attacks can cripple, if not dissolve your business in today’s business climate. It is important to remain proactive and this software does just that! Lower costs and more advanced features is what makes this product great!

Cons

As with any security software, it can be difficult to understand some of the features and reports, however, with such knowledgeable and helpful customer service and tech support, this product remains one of the best!

I have used norton antivirus sofware by symantec and was quite happy with the antivirus, it kept my laptop safe from malware and viruses from the internet as well as external devices.

Cons

It was expensive compared to some other antivirus in the market, but it also works better so its a trade-off. If your devices are more susceptible to viruses go for it.

Pros

The best features of this software for me are Intrusion Control, Anti-spam, device and app control, USB control, and firewall. The Artificial intelligence and machine learning features make it responsive to unknown threats

Cons

The only reason I am not giving a perfect score is just because of its no antiphishing capability. With that being said, it is very very time consuming to set up the program.

Symantec Endpoint would be my number one rated and recommend anti-Virus/Malware program. It was complete protection that wasn't annoying, Most programs I have used are not half as useful as this is.

Pros

This program does its job without tons of annoying advertising, bloatware or constant notifications. It was very easy to use and informative as to what it was doing. Updates were quick and easy. It only notified me when it was needed. It did its job in the background and wasn't annoying to have running.

Cons

The interface while easy, felt very un-inspired and basic. It sometimes had issues working in tandem with the Windows OS.

Overall Symantec Endpoint Protection is very good product and its cost effective.

Pros

Symantec Endpoint Protection is one point solution for providing security from Malware, Viruses, Network Intrusions and most important for IT hardware (Including Computers and Server), it prevents ransomware attacks. firewall is sturdy and really easy to manage, Central console for managing systems and updates and most important it is not taxing on Computer resources. We are using to manage handful of Computers really effectively.

Cons

From view of protecting clients there are absolutely no issues/cons. Only thing plague this software which i feel is up-gradation process i.e. from lower to higher version, there are strict protocols to be followed for successful implementation (Updates).

Overall, very pleased with this software. Have been using it for 10+ years and protects my computer well.

Pros

This is, by far, my favorite computer security program. Installing is a breeze and updating is just as easy. The interface is user-friendly and the color scheme is easy on the eyes. I think it protects my computer well, as I've been using this software for over 10 years and my computer is still kicking.

All in all, Symantec Endpoint Protection offers impenetrable protection for end users. It's easy to deploy, simple to update, and it does it's job well. I just wish it didn't cause BSODs in our environment.

Pros

This software is fairly simple to deploy and update on multiple PCs, and is generally hassle-free in regards to everyday use. The different levels of protection have worked perfectly and it's essentially a "set it and forget it" type of program for our users.

Cons

This software doesn't seem to play well with Windows 7 OS - at least, not in our environment. I have constantly received BSODs that point to this program when we view the logs. We're running the most recent stable version and uninstalling/reinstalling seems to only postpone the inevitable blue screen.

It is my job partner, it protects me along my day without being disturbing. Rarely I see an advice for it or need to take a manual action, and it stills there, doing its good job. I recommend it, for sure!

Pros

In our company we use it for all the employees. Our IT department has full control over adjustments of all the installations. Employees don't need to worry about scheduled scannings, updatings, fine tunning or anything else. Its pre installed on all the machines and is there to protect, not to disturb. Its awesome!

Cons

What can be a pro in one hand, can also be a con in the other hand. The way it works on client machines, by being configured by IT department and not locally may cause some troubles. You just can't set an action different than quarantine a suspect object. But we all know that sometimes it can be a bad judgment from the antivirus side, like a driver for Android that I needed to install and it was classified as unknown source and therefore didn't allowed me to proceed with installation. At least an option to ignore the object could be better.

Nothing but good times.

Pros

Easy to deploy to multiple devices from single console. Policies and upgrades can all be configured and deployed from a single console. I have been using Symantec EndPoint for several years on hundreds of sites and no outbreaks or issues. It was that good I started to think what isn't it finding so scanned with other AV products and my systems were clean.

Cons

Support can be difficult at times. The firewall policy can be a little over whelming to non experienced users, but you could chose not to deploy that part.

We have been using symantec endpoint protection for 5 years or so and overall it has provided us with good virus and malware protection. Upgrades are a bit tricky but their support is very good and helps us each time. The interface to the server manager is a little tricky until you get used to it but still if I am not in there every week or so I find I need to call for help, but they have great support.

Pros

It installs easily with a push from the server, when there is something I don't understand they have very helpful support.

Cons

It is a bit difficult to create installation packages for clients. There are a lot of options, which is good but it takes a lot of poking around to figure out where and what you need to be and do.

Symantec has protected my customers for many years, and I use it in our company also. We've never experience a threat that wasn't, or couldn't be, isolated and removed or quarantined. It's been a very cost effective solution for our company paired with our hardware firewall.

Pros

It's very easy to install and administer, as either a stand alone endpoint installation or a managed client endpoint. Updates are automatic and the built in firewall is very effective. I've been using Symantec products since we replaced McCrappy throughout our entire organization (enterprise class healthcare organization with multiple hospitals and ambulatory care sites) and have rarely had anything get past it. Given the state of Ransomewear today however, I highly recommend connecting your endpoint AV to a cloud database for realtime and zero day scanning and remediation. Symantec one of the oldest players in the channel and still one of the best.

Cons

The one problem I've experienced using Symantec Endpoint Protection over the years is that from time to time (rarely and generally localized to a workstation) the local database gets corrupted somehow and a number of steps need to be followed to repair the software and get updates flowing again. Simply uninstalling and reinstalling does not do that trick. Past that, it's always been a great asset.

Zero time needed to spend for managing antivirus software

Pros

Just silent app staying in system tray, never let any kind of virus or spyware to land on my laptop over last few years.

Cons

Pretty complicated firewall rules configuration.
Some day I needed to add an exception and then remove it.
But the exception persisted until I removed it several times and rebooted my laptop.
