It is browser compatibility issues. There are some problem when uploading large files.

It was adequate but constraining, and over time the feature differential with more advanced tools became increasingly evident.

It can make your life easier as it does not demand special software to be installed on your terminal, just a web browser is enough.

Good flexibility in adding coworkers alongside external guests to document repositories. Good security measures on stored files.

Easy to build work flows and group projects. Can build custom sites for groups.

Start out on Alfresco Community Edition if you're low budget or no budget.

The document manager is really powerful, flexible, scalable, and robust.

It's a great system for organizing files in a secure way - access control is excellent. It's easy for version control too.

Limiting the deployment model to just docker made initial deployment difficult.

The software displays Good  picture quality and it is easy to use and it connects to my favorite database software Postgresql.

The flexibility provided for the configuration of the indexes and the searching criteria makes it suitable any kind of data and search needs. The query building flow is also easy to understand.

Learning ElasticSearch seems to be a bit more difficult than learning it's competitor, Solr.

Sharding and migrations were quite hard to manage.

The last month or more, most of our searches were spam bot searches for non-existent domain names. This made our reports really worthless.

I still haven't figure the implementation of replication and clusterization of Elasticsearch, but maybe it is a lack of information.

Finally, in the elatic stack there is no module that crawls completely integrated.

It turned out to be far less expensive than we thought. Swiftype is a bad investment if you have lots of files to be indexed but far fewer monthly searches.

It made a huge improvement to our site searches.

It has given us the similar functionality with improved UI. The UI for optimizing the search is really easy to use yet powerful.

Elasticsearch is the best search engine available in the market, it's the state of the art for it's technology.

Best search engine available, it's really powerful when combined with cloud solutions.

I was able to get some great search query response times and development efforts were minimal compared to dealing with Lucene directly.
