ISN is great for inspectors
Overall I enjoy the software. Some learning still to do and some improvements still needing to be made in the software to make it more use friendly. It simply has a ton of features but many that I don't use or don't really know how to use.
PROSISN has been a great addition to our business. I like the automation aspect it brings to scheduling and customer follow-up.
CONSI feel tutorials on the various items in the software would be very helpful. I'd also like to see multiple options for charges by square footage. I'd like to set some types of inspections to be charged a fee based on a range of square footage (i.e., $200 for 1500sf) as well as being able to setup another type of inspection that might be charged just by square footage (i.e., Warehouses get charge $0.10 per square foot). As it is now, I have to calculate a range and can't that level of drill down while having another calculation method. It's manageable but at the time it can be better.

Customize everything
Experience has been excellent. Starting up they have a web meeting to go over the product and are always there to help you figure out what you need. They don't just "do" everything for you. They will show you "how" to if you ask them.
PROSYou can customize ISN to do almost anything you can imagine.
CONSThey do not have the ability to add an algorithm to the pricing model for inspections. I base my inspections on age and sqft. There is no way for the client to get an accurate cost on the home inspection when they use the online scheduler. I have to run the numbers every time an inspection is scheduled online.

The Good, The Bad, and The Frustrating
Very mixed. Do we use it every day and is it an essential tool? Yes. Do I think there can be huge improvements? Yes. Do I feel listened to as a customer? No
PROSISN is easy to use, staff can pick up on training quickly, and most of how ISN is used has a very intuitive interface. You can build out more complicated processes and streamline how you communicate with your clients relatively easily. The more you put into ISN the more automated your life can be. The automation and high level of tracking for individual orders and to the company as a whole have been the best features.
CONSEver since Porch purchased ISN they have been on a steady decline in the product and customer service. They are definitely doing forced migrations to use tools that circle back to Porch and adding another layer of complication in our communication with our clients. Customer service has also been severely lacking, as a long-time user I often feel I know more about the interworking of ISN than the first level of tech support, and problems often are not resolved or take forever to resolve. The price increase was also pitched as a saving, but in actuality doubled our costs. They also have a habit of pushing out updates on MONDAY!!! where there is pure chaos as nothing works right and we are left to limp along until they put patches and fix bugs. It has even gotten so bad that it has impacted our ability to make money.

Given we made this change in 2017 a lot has changed with ISN. At the time it seemed more flexible, inclusive, and controllable. It answered our need to put automation in place and remove redundancies that existed from our past system. However, our use and needs have changed over the years. That customer loyalty is not a guarantee.

To have an all-in-one system for scheduling, tracking, reporting, communication, etc.

Excellence In Customer Service
The software's email features, ease of scheduling, and report delivery options drew me towards ISN as my solution, their technical support customer service is what exceeded my expectations. Any question I have they have worked to answer and explain the condition in a clear and concise manner so that I understand why the software functions the way it does. Five stars to the support staff!!!
CONSThe method in which the online scheduler and office scheduler are intertwined makes it difficult to customize service offerings for each scheduling method. The online schedule becomes cluttered quickly based on the current design requiring scrolling when several services are offered. Here's some of my notes from a recent troubleshooting event: I cant keep a consistent look in Office Scheduler and Online Scheduler do to the way their currently integrated. Ideally the control for the detached building drop down could be displayed on the services page instead of the properties page in online scheduler, this functionally works it just needs a tweak to make chronological sense when selecting services in the OLS. Any way to get that added as a feature update? Creating a fee based service dropdown should ideally appear on the services page in the online scheduler. Is there any way to create a drop down that would provide a list of services with check boxes which you could select multiple services from? If not, doing so with the ability to hover over each service and a pop-up with info about each service could be another way to consolidate the appearance of the scheduler page in the online scheduler.

Saves a Tremendous Amount of Time!
Before I discovered ISN everything I did was redundant... confirmation email to client, confirmation email to buyer and seller agents, email inspection agreement, send payment request ect... Now with one click of a button all personalized emails go out at once as soon as the order is scheduled. I also love that my inspection agreement and a secure credit card payment link are emailed to the client as soon as the order is scheduled. My agreement is usually signed and the inspection paid for days before the actual inspection takes place, which is nice. If the inspection is not paid when I upload the report it sends an email telling the client that their inspection report is ready to be viewed and will open as soon as payment is made. How GREAT is that? No more chasing people down for payment. These are just a few of the awesome features you get with ISN. Well worth the few dollars per inspection that you pay. Its like having a whole back office at your disposal. I honestly don't think that I could run my business without ISN. Thanks for all you do!!
CONSThere is not much that I don't like about this software. There are a few features that I do not use but that's what makes the software so great, is that you can pick the features you want to use and you do not have to use the features that you do not want or do not need.

Our most critical software!
ISN has been a great tool for our company. From Keeping records neatly in 1 cloud based software, to email/ sms automation for appointment reminders and request feedback. Clearly and easily keeping calendars for all inspectors. It is fairly straight forward to set up; took us a while to achieve all we wanted it to do, but it does everything we need and want it to do! We integrate many softwares with ISN including our reporting software 3D.
CONSCons: Agent Dashboard only displays buyer agent reports. We perform a lot of inspections for listing agents and when inputting that info into the system, makes for an unpleasant conversation when they call letting me know they are not the buyers agent, but i proceed to explain, "that is just so you are able to see all your reports in the same place...". This could be solved with a toggle on agent tab, -add to agent dashboard or not- I would like to see the incorporation of an assistant tab. In some cases, many agents will have the same assistant. Or 1 agent will have many assistants, each with a file to take care. Add an "additional client" information field. In many cases couples that are contracting us, want both/all names on ALL correspondence, for whatever reason, that way it stands, we can only add 1 name at a time, or add it in an ODD way...

Very good, but I am unhappy about their decision to raise the prices
disappointed in their money grab rate increase to supposedly fund an app. I really hope this app is much better than their website. The website is great (even on my phone), so to justify the price increase the app will need to be revolutionary.

CONSI had been a super supporter of ISN, then they raised their prices, basically doubled them. I get the need to increase revenue but doubling them is insane. Their role in my business is essential but not irreplaceable. I have been using their service for years. I have been on cruise control with them for years, I cannot recall the last time that I used their customer service (although it was good when I did) so from my perspective their incremental cost to provide the services I use is minimal and in no way justifies their money grab price increase. Sadly, I am exploring other options to reliably provide scheduling and automated emails. Apparently, my business is not their target customer.

Very Expensive, Overwhelming, Deceptive Effort to Share Data
Automated emails and digital contract signing. These can be obtained elsewhere for far less money.
PROSI like the automated emails and digital signing ability for contracts. This was a very useful tool for my business.
CONSSignificantly overpriced for using the features. Betty difficult to set up. In fact I had to have them set it up initially and then I had a hard time making changes. It feels like small features were added for niche customers over the years and it became so bloated. The billing practices are interesting because they keep charging you per month even if you don't use it. They were unwilling to refund 2 months where I didn't realize this. They sold out to a company that farms and sells your data to provide leads to contractors for a price. They are owned by Porch.com Overall this company earned the trust of a nation of inspectors and then took advantage of it. And they just keep hammering it home.

Its par. I have seen others use Spectora and Home Gauge and Home Inspector Pro office who are really happy with their systems.
PROSI like the scheduling aspect and emails sent to clients when they emails work. A full class should be offered at home inspection conferences for ISN users.
CONSMy email templates. I needed help with one issue and the gentleman sent me instructions on how to do it on my own. I was extremely busy trying to run the business, and I asked if he can do it for me. I assumed I was not a priority with him.

It has helped the flow of my business.
PROSI began using this to automate sending and signing my pre-inspection agreement. It does that very well! I will probably hang around because I am able to automatically notify my 3rd parties (termite, septic, etc) just with the click of a button (once you've set it up correctly). This has been an excellent little time saver.
CONSFor as long as they have been around, their app is pretty basic and a little slow. I don't want it to be complex, but I wish I had all the options for scheduling a job on the app as I do the desktop version.

[SENSITIVE CONTENT] is AMAZING! I am new to the office and there is so much support and auto emails or text messages that can help make business run smoother. Each time I ask a question or have an idea to change the view of my calendar, emails, invoicing, etc, [SENSITIVE CONTENT]has been extremely effective, efficient and the most helpful to my lack of tech savy abilities! Having access to him allows our company to use the services provided to max capacity. I am still learning on new ways to make things run quicker with this program, so I truly appreciate him and all his time assisting me in cleaning up and perfecting the tools in this back office.

DY Rocks
ISN is the brains of my inspection business. It begins my Customer Relations Management of clients, realtors and prospects and does tons of automated notifications for me. I love ISN!
PROSMass Mailing. DY helped me with my first ever mass mailing and he was able to trouble shoot a "Dmarc'd" issue with my primary email server that didn't allow mass emails. We finally settled on a 3rd attempt (my domain host email) and it worked like a champ! We also had to add an "Unsuscribe" button and that was as easy as copy and pasting the code he provided. All is well and my mailing went out to over 2,000 past clients and realtors. Rock on DY! Thanks ISN!

The BEST Platform for Home Inspectors
I have been working with ISN for 3 years now (our company for over 5 years), and it is critical to our business. The reliability, efficiency, and integration make this platform the BEST one for our company. The customer service is great and the developers are always looking for ways to improve. Highly recommend.
PROSThe platform allows for the most streamlined scheduling and reporting. Scheduling is seamless and integrates directly to our reporting software. Automated communications are efficient and reliable. ISN reporting is an integral part of our business and has many different options to chose from depending on your business size and capacity.
CONSThere are a few reports that I wish existed, customization specifically within a report. However, with the suggest a feature option, reporting is being regularly updated. Hopeful my suggested feature is updated soon!

Overall ISN is user friendly. Best is your support staff. They are very helpful and prompt in assistance.
PROSNew requests process flow, reuse previous inspection request, (cant recall the name of the feature), editing is very user friendly.
CONSRecent downtime/slowness caused delays in completing inspection requests. Doesn’t happen often, but when it does, it really impacts my productivity and client satisfaction. Pay At Close is difficult to remove if entered in error.

A great software that has become a must-have for my business!
I find ISN has freed up countless hours taking care of things I once did individually for every client and inspection. It has given me the peace of mind knowing that every email, template, tracking and storage for each client and agent is taken care of automatically and without fail.
PROSThat the templates can be edited to suit, set to auto send, then be forgotten about!
CONSI don't feel anything is missing. I appreciate how well ISN and HIP interact and support each other. Without that, I would have to find another product.

ISN - very good product. Very easy to use.
Overall, my experiences have been very positive. The rare issues I've had were quickly responded to and resolved.
PROSISN has easy to navigate sections and it is easily customizable. Customer service is quick to respond whenever needed.
CONSIf I had to pick something, it would be that the mobile app seems to lag a little, no matter if on 5G or Wi-Fi, but nothing that would discourage me from using it.

I couldn't run my business without it!
It manages my inspection schedule in a way I couldn't on my own. The automated emails for agreements are a must.
PROSThe scheduling makes life simple. It populates my Google calendar and shows me my schedule at a quick glance. The automated emails are also a life saver as I would never remember to send them all out. It is the office manager that I couldn't live without.
CONSIt can be hard to figure out settings. You think you have something setup but it also has to be turned on in another location. Happily customer support is very good.

It is well supported, service is helpful and mostly able to answer the phone.

CONSProduct does need some upgrading to make it easier to use. Transfer of orders to others in my group and its functionality with apple products should be improved.

Best Option for Our Business
I have tried other software that mimicked ISN but none have come close and I always come back.
PROSI like the robust features of ISN, it is a complicated system but once it is set up you can make it do most things you need to run an inspection company of any size.
CONSIt is a tough system to get set up but they did offer help. One small change can affect many areas of the system so you have to know it pretty well.

Business support software excellent!
I think overall ISN software is awesome!
PROSHelps me streamline the process of setting up inspections and communicating with all parties involved in the inspection ie, realtors, buyers, sellers and listing agents. Make my job easier.
CONSI need to create better custom reports to help balance my bank statement at the end of the month. I'm going to work on that. eventually I would like to transfer client data and payment information directly into my quickbooks. Need to figure out how to do that to save me time there so I can grow our business.

"Support" is exactly what they give you!
It's very easy to use, deploy, and provides a seamless business transaction between the business [SENSITIVE CONTENT] and the client. Customer service is really great.
CONSSometimes customer service is slow to respond and they have no support on the weekend which I really don't understand. Also, features, even the ones that obviously make sense to create and deploy sometimes takes way too long to develop and implement.
