Overall experience
Applied Tam needs more flexibility overall , but accounting in general works well.
PROSHow it works for insurance management , easy to navigate
CONSThe reporting set up needs improvement. Accounting and Book of Business reports do not have many options. Benefits Management is terrible.
Reason for choosing Applied TAM
We are switched from Applied Tam to a Salesforce based management system

Getting a Little Outdated...
I use TAM on a daily basis and you get used to the glitches it has and try to work your way around it - so you implicate your own sort of system on daily using. However, if it was more updated and got rid of these glitches it would be incredibly more helpful.
PROSThe good thing about TAM is that it is easy and reliable for keeping track of which employee attaches what important information pertaining to certain clients. It's good for keeping track of people, times, invoicing, etc. to avoid E&O claims when done correctly.
CONSThe overall look of the program is very dated. There are a few glitches that still also need to be addressed, i.e. sometimes the program crashes or doesn't allow you to open two attachments at once. Which can sometimes get frustrating when you're trying to look at two saved attachments at once. When you go into the help section too, it's not always clear and doesn't have a good search functionality for getting help.

Viable option for some organizations.
TAM was great and served its purpose during the time we utilized it. Over time, however, we found a better CRM system that we eventually moved to and have stuck with since.
PROSTAM was great for tracking client data and commissions.
CONSAs we grew as an organization, it was difficult to use TAM to track our daily tasks as well as our insurance policy data.

Easy to learn,
TAM was fairly easy to learn and use. It had the ability to do everything the end-user was required to do for their job. Updating account with information was easy, invoicing transactions was straight forward and intuitive.
CONSReporting abilities on the back-end were limited. Software was slow at times when opening new tabs/screens. User interface is outdated.

Enterprise level organization for agencies
Good option for large agencies that need more commission tracking than customer detail.
PROSThe platform is robust with commission tracking and customer data center, you can also create acord forms from within the application. Policy downloads through IVANS is a plus.
CONSYou cannot easily keep track of clients properties/ vehicles Ezlynx sync is cumbersome and usually fails. For large agencies you have to operate applied locally and utilize virtual desktops which makes operation in TAM for remote users very slow. Communication tracking is not good at all.
