About TurboRater

TurboRater is an online comparative insurer rater that provides easy solutions for agents, brokers and carriers to provide accurate quotes from multiple carries, across policies including homeowners, renters, condominium, dwelling, auto, motorcycle, and fire. Quotes can be forwarded directly to customers or uploaded into other systems such as quote engines or websites. TurboRater allows users to receive quotes from all the major carriers in a matter of seconds. The built-in underwriting rules apply instantly, providing accurate quotes that are consistent across all carriers. Since data only needs to be entered once to be applied to all carriers, TurboRater reduces the opportunity for errors and saves users time.

Independent Agent's BFF

Definitely a Time Saver! I love the ease of use and how it saves the data so we can go back to old prospects

PROS

Turbo Rater has given us the ability to make quoting so much easier as it bridges over to our different carriers and bridges over the information to our Agency Management System. It allows us to shop for our client's insurance policy and give them a snap shot of what the other carriers are charging when they want a better price.

CONS

Some carriers are still not on Turbo Rater, all the information also does not bridge over to Agency Management System.

Good Product, Overpriced

Overall good. Similar to AccuAgency which we still use for the management side. We are undecided if we will stick with TurboRater, but for now it does the job. We don't use the TurboRater system except for rating which we can still do in AccuAgency, thankfully. Nothing can be perfect, but many things can be better.

PROS

It has lots and lots of features. It also has a lot of questions that can help get more accurate rating. User friendly.

CONS

It gets a little time consuming just in the tabs where it has so many questions. Variety of questions can be good and bad. Also, there are what feels like 15 tabs before you can get the rater going. lastly, the "policy status" questions at the end- it's mandatory and it's annoying. I know you need feedback or want to put a reason, but it's just not necessary. Price increased SIGNIFICANTLY at the switch from AccuAgency to TurboRater.

We had to transition regardless so we wanted to give it a shot before we switched all together.

We did not have a choice if we wanted to keep AccuAgency Management.

ITC is the best I've used

I have used it for years and have used a couple others. I like ITC best because most companies use it. I wouldn't say it is the best rating system ever, but if I like one more that no companies use, than I'm no better off.

PROS

I really like being able to quote multiple people at once and multiple companies at once. This is important and saves us a lot of time in office.

CONS

It can stop working randomly at times. The look of it is VERY outdated and it needs a face lift. This makes it very unappealing to look at and quote with for several hours a day. I just don't know any other better products out there, but it LOOKS like it was made by an insurance agent and not a product designer. I think the admin options could be improved. If we have two customers quoted with the same name it should tell us and let us combine them easily instead of doing all the leg work ourselves. If someone calls for a quote and starts it with their name then turns around and wants to quote it in their sisters name to see what the price is, we have to start a whole new quote or erase all the info that we want to keep for the first driver. This is stupid. We're in 2020, there should be swap drivers option. How hard would that be really? You code it once, and that's it.

If both people are named on the policy, then the swap drivers option is available. If you're adding a person to a policy, you will need to enter their information. Insurance Software

TurboRater makes policy quoting easy and fast.

PROS

The ease of use is one of the biggest pros of this software. We went from AccuAuto to TurboRater and the software is A LOT easier to use. We all love the Single screen because it makes quoting a breeze. There are a few small quirks to the system that took a little while to get used to, but nothing major. It integrates with Agency Advantage (our management system) easily and we have no issues with it.

CONS

The price is a little steep for what it is. Our previous software was half the price.

We stayed with TurboRater because it seems to be the easiest to use out of the others.

Reasons for switching to TurboRater

AccuAuto was bought out by TurboRater. We made the switch before we were forced too.

Software is great. Support has been anywhere from non existent to simply frustrating
