Excellent Platform for Integration

This has really increased productivity in the office. The reports can be adjusted to whatever you need to be testing and measuring to help focus on the details.

PROS

I love how easily it integrates with my email and phone systems. When a client calls in, our phone system recognizes the phone number and pops up a new tab with the client information. It's SO nice!!

CONS

Sometimes getting through to customer service can be difficult, as we had some issues with pricing agreement.

Stay Away. Find something that cost less and fits your needs with better customer support.

I regret my decision to sign up for Vertafore products, but I am too deep into it after spending over $10,000 within my 1st year for PLR, QQ and Agency zoom. Still looking for alternatives which may fit my commercial agency needs and will switch in a heartbeat when I find them. The management’s focus on customer satisfaction or customer service is extremely low. The integration with 3rd party programs is limited especially is it a competing product that vertafore offers. Example is their commercial rater which is worthless and because of that they do not allow integrations with established commercial lines raters in the market.

PROS

Good integration between QQ and Agency Zoom but be ready to spend an additional $3,000 - $6,000 by paying 3rd party vendors if you really want to understand the automation and spend days in understanding, editing, and customizing the automation steps to your agency needs. The sales team will promise you the world but that’s where it ends.

CONS

Too expensive for what you get. They make you pay for their program/s and services the day you sign the contract, but the implementation can take them 4 - 6 weeks. Meaning they are swindling you by charging for 4-6 weeks without you being able to use the system. The support staff is not cross trained to help you with QQ and Agency Zoom. Be ready for frustration and a lot of time wasted to get a resolution to your problems. They continue to sell the PL rater for personal lines, but it is useless for CA and some other states where the personal lines markets are tough and there are not many carriers available. There is no understanding or exceptions they make if you get a product that is worthless as they will make you pay for it for the entire length of the contract. The company does not give enough notice to their users when they make any upgrades or changes to the system. All these always result in problems and the hold times to speak to someone in support could be up to an hour and you'd be lucky to find someone who can actually resolve the issues with just 1 call. Submitting tickets via the support portal is a total waste of time since there may be no response at all, or it may come days/weeks later.

Independent Insurance Platform

Overall, my collogues and I use it and it serves its purpose well. We always dread having to train new employees because it is so complicated.

PROS

I like that functionality of this software, it can do everything you want it to as long as you know how to use it.

CONS

This is a very hard program to learn. My first year of using it was very rough because it has a very antiquated feel to it. But once you start learning the shortcuts, it does everything you need it to do.

QQ Catalyst From Vertafore

Keeping track of customers, policies, forms, etc are very easy with QQ by Vertafore.

PROS

The QQ Catalyst agency management system from Vertafore certainly helps keep track of customers, policies, and all related forms and paperwork.

CONS

Downloads can be tricky with this system. Once they get going it works well but sometimes getting started can be frustrating.

Unsatisfied customer

PROS

None I will not do business with this company again.

CONS

When we decided we wanted to switch providers. We were told we could continue with the system paying monthly until we switched. Then one day we were locked out of our system with no warning. Our 12 month contract had expired and they shut us off. We only needed use of the system for about 30 more days, but they came back and told us that they don't do montly contracts and we would have to sign up for 6 months or a year. Would you pay for 6 months of something you only needed for 1 month? I will never do business with a company like this again. We have no access to all our customer information to help our clients, until the other company can get us up and running. I am disappointed in the corporate greed we have in our society. I understand yearly contracts, but I also understand when a service is provided that is the lifeline of a company and they don't want to use your services anymore there needs to be a transition period. Clearly they are all about how to rip off the little guy.

LACK OF CUSTOMER SUPPORT AND DEPENDABILITY

Feeling very frustrated.

PROS

Appeared to be user friendly but has failed in this regard

CONS

We have been using Vertafore for ten years. The service couldn't be worse, phone calls and/or emails not returned. The most current issue has been Customer emails are not being merged to the agency management system thereby compromising record keeping. This has been an ongoing issue most recently we've not been able to merge emails for 10 days. As a work around we are having to cut and paste from Outlook making the management system worthless. This isn't the first time this has occurred but an on going issue. I would change to Hawksoft but the concern has been we might lose data. I suspect it would be a wise to simply make the change, but ten years is significant fearing change ...

Very expensive and outdated

PROS

The real time bridge quotes were typically correct for carrier.

CONS

It was very expensive. For the longest time it was not web based. It still looks very outdated. I went with turbo rater and it was about half the cost, and no contracts and web based unlike FSC. I had to call every once in a while for issues with not being to open fsc rater program. I hate how I had to have the software downloaded on the computer and if i had issues during weekend I was screwed.

Vertafore

Overall it is good. The customer service is great and they go out of their way to answer your question and to make sure you use the platform to your advantage. The online University is also helpful, it includes prerecorded video walkthroughs for different tasks. I used that quite a bit.

PROS

If you input the data right, I like how quick/easy it to generate forms in the future for projects or for requests from the customer.

CONS

Learning how to use the software for the first time. It took me a good 3-4 months before I really started to understand how to correctly use it.

Agent Review

When I have a question, the customer service department is always helpful. I have even had them login to my system, and take over the screen to fix settings, problems, etc.

PROS

As a busy agent, this software saves me time when quoting. I can put all the customer's information into the system and can get the best quote within seconds!

CONS

You need to keep your company passwords up to date. If you don't the rater will not work properly.

Worst AMS on the Market! Stuck in the 90s!

Not even the support staff really know how to use the system, so they can't help. And with this system they charge you for training. You would think that the company should want you to like their system and they would show you how to use it. They don't care, they just want your money.

PROS

The only thing I can say that I like even a little is the suspense system, but the reality other companies do that better too.

CONS

The Certificate system is a total joke. It is clunky. There is usually not enough room to accommodate The cert holders full name and address. Try telling a government agency not to be so rigid and to accept a simplified version of their request.

GREAT PRODUCT, HARSH PRICE

THEIR EASE OF USE, THEIR ABILITY TO ACCURATELY QUOTE AS MANY CARRIERS AS THEY CARRY AND THEIR OVER ALL HISTORY IN THE INSURANCE INDUSTRY MAKES THEM GREAT, ALL AGENTS KNOW THAT, THEY KNOW THAT, AND THEY CHARGE A PREMIUM FOR IT.

PROS

I LIKED THE FACT THAT VERTAFORE (FSC) WAS VERY ACCURATE, IT WAS FAST, AND IT LET US QUOTE WITHOUT THE HICCUPS AS OTHER SOFTWARE. THEY HAVE CONTRACTS WITH JUST ABOUT EVERY INSURANCE CARRIER.

CONS

THEY ARE WAY OVER PRICED, ESPECIALLY WHEN YOU OPEN YOUR NEW AGENCY, CHANCES ARE YOUR NOT GOING TO HAVE A PLETHORA OF CARRIERS, YOUR GOING TO START WITH 2 - 6, SO FOR THE PRICE IT IS NOT WORTH IT.

Great product

User Friendly and Efficient

This makes my job more efficient and organized. It's a great tool to have.

PROS

I like that it keeps all of my due dates in order and is very user friendly. It helps keep me on track to make sure our agents are compliant.

CONS

There's not a lot I can say that I don't like. I wish I could use it for other functions of my job. It's beneficial to have this program.

Maybe a review will make them process my 5 month refund

We never utilized the software and recently switched to another. Although out of contract and able to cancel at any time, they have continued to charge my card for 5 months. Each time telling me they would issue a refund the next billing cycle.

PROS

We had this platform for over 6 years and never used it.

CONS

Complexity of setting up and lack of help from customer service. We were told to watch the videos. On occasion we would reach someone who was willing to help.
