Pros/Cons
Pros
- The ability to find out where product is held in our warehouse, the age of the product, the sku details. I liked the ability to allow only some functions to some staff and full functions to others.
- Our best benefit was to use less paper and have a huge improvement with our follow-up.
- We have experienced great benefit from this software and great customer service.
Cons
- The one major downside to the software is the lack of user customization. Users can not create their own reports or change the layout of views.
- The terminology was difficult to adapt to initially. The menu driven functionality was also difficult to understand at first.
- Poor UI and then less user-friendly. It's a bit hard for new user to be onboard with the solution because the tool is not that intuitive.
Pros
- WinRetail is a great product that makes my life much easier. I LOVE LOVE LOVE JDS Solutions (the company that runs WinRetail).
- I love this software I have been working with it at 2 different companies and it is truly the best out there.
- My experience with the consultants was extremely positive. They were friendly and willing to help any way they could.
Cons
- Vendor in London is bad, terrible customer service with technicians that do not know the system.
- Receiving items into the system is extremely error prone. They cut corners in the wrong places (ie. just letting me say "yup, its all here!" when nothing could be there).
- Checkout process is obscure to new employees and they often make tender mistakes, as well as payment type mistakes. God I hate this product.
