### Most mentioned pros

- I like that it conveniently integrates with our Quickbooks Pro alongside it's ability to allow us to continue tracking our inventory, BOM, and overall Manufacturing needs as we are scaling quite a bit.
- I like how we can do everything out of fishbowl -> order management, inventory tracking, reporting, shipping labels, etc.
- Fishbowls ability to have great inventory management, order management, and invoicing while being the best value for money is why we like Fishbowl.

### Most mentioned cons

- The biggest issue we have had is that we did not initially conform all of our part numbers and descriptions which made it difficult to search for certain parts.
- Additionally, it seems to kick users out too fast if the system isn't being used for a little while. If there is any way to adjust these timeout settings or streamline the login process, that would be very helpful.
- What I liked least about Fishbowl is that the system can feel a bit outdated and not as intuitive as newer inventory platforms.

### Fishbowl is a great inventory tool

Fishbowl has had a lot of ups and down for our team. It has been a great tool to track inventory but not the greatest tool to develop quotes in a fast quoting environment. Some features are fairly easy to use but it is a lot to learn about and takes time becoming an expert in the system.

#### Ratings breakdown

- Ease of use: 3/5
- Value for money: 4/5
- Customer support: 4/5
- Functionality: 4/5

#### Pros

I like that Fishbowl is a great inventory system and shows a lot of material data and revenue per item being sold. I do enjoy the ease of placing orders inside fishbowl and developing transfer orders to process our additional locations. I also enjoy the ease to fulfilled a order in fishbowl as well.

#### Cons

I do not like how unforgiving Fishbowl is when a mistake has been made after an order has been fulfilled, adjusting any errors seems pretty difficult to do in fishbowl on processed orders after they have been fulfilled. It is also very hard to develop reports inside of fishbowl as well unfortunately fishbowl spits out a lot of reports per item and not by per order or quote. I also am not a fan of the constant restarting the server when it comes to setting up new location groups. It requires all of our team to log out and restart the server in order for fishbowl to update and process the new location.

#### Reasons for switching to Fishbowl

Netsuite was very expensive and they did not have very good support and it was a very difficult tool to make any adjustments in

### Moderation needs work and it's changed for the worse.

I used to use the free version religiously but it's gone downhill quickly. The moderation is getting wildly out of hand. There has been a boom in posts that don’t violate any guidelines being flagged and removed. Then when you reach out to Fishbowl support inquiring about details on how your post “violated guidelines”, Fishbowl responds saying that it was a mistake.

#### Ratings breakdown

- Ease of use: 4/5
- Value for money: 1/5
- Customer support: 1/5
- Functionality: 4/5

#### Pros

Nothing honestly it costs so much to use the paid version now. Fishbowl is going downhill in my opinion.

#### Cons

The moderation is getting wildly ineffective. It makes it difficult to use and the costs have become too high.

We are currently transitioning from QuickBooks to Fishbowl, and so far we are very excited about the additional features and capabilities the system offers. Fishbowl provides much greater flexibility and customization, allowing us to adapt the software to our company's specific operational needs. The inventory management tools are robust, and the platform offers a level of control and visibility that goes beyond what we previously had. The transition process has been smooth, and we are looking forward to taking full advantage of the system's versatility as we continue to grow. Based on our experience so far, Fishbowl appears to be a powerful solution for businesses looking to improve inventory management and streamline their operations.

#### Ratings breakdown

#### Pros

Its flexibility and the wide range of inventory management features it offers. The system can be adapted to fit our specific business processes rather than forcing us to change the way we work.

#### Cons

The initial learning curve was challenging due to the system's extensive features, but the Fishbowl team has been very helpful and has made the transition much easier.

#### Reasons for switching to Fishbowl

Because we needed more advanced inventory management capabilities and greater flexibility to support our business operations. Fishbowl offers features and customization options that better fit our current needs and provide a stronger foundation for future growth.

I have been using Fishbowl for nearly two years now and it has been a great experience. While we have had some growing pains getting used to the software and learning its little quirks. The biggest issue we have had is that we did not initially conform all of our part numbers and descriptions which made it difficult to search for certain parts. I have mostly fixed this issue at this point, but it would be nice if the search criteria wasn't so specific.

#### Ratings breakdown

- Ease of use: 5/5
- Value for money: 2/5
- Customer support: 3/5
- Functionality: 3/5

#### Pros

Easy to learn graphical interface. Very effective at inventory management for a small warehouse. Client runs on multiple operating systems for ease of use with a variety of mobile devices.

#### Cons

Price is pretty high even compared to competition. I do not like the idea of paying for industry standard reports that seem to be missing from the client. Issues with "scanning" on IOS phones.

#### Reasons for switching to Fishbowl

I actually switched jobs and had to use my SAP experience to teach myself Fishbowl.

We also like that their team can build custom reports at a nominal fee.

#### Cons

#### Reasons for choosing Fishbowl

Connectivity with Intuit Enterprise Suite.

#### Reasons for switching to Fishbowl

#### Ratings breakdown

#### Pros

Professional Staff!I was truly impressed by [sensitive content hidden]professionalism during our meeting. Each of them demonstrated deep knowledge in their field and communicated with clarity and confidence. Their insights were thoughtful and showed a strong understanding of the topics we discussed. It’s clear they are not only highly skilled but also work very well as a team. I appreciate how open they were in sharing their expertise, and I look forward to learning more from them in the future. It was a real pleasure to connect with such capable and dedicated professionals.

#### Cons

I want to clarify that this is not directed at [sensitive content hidden] they were all highly professional and helpful. My feedback is about the overall customer support system. It would be a big improvement if Fishbowl could offer 24/7 customer service, especially to support users in different time zones and to address time-sensitive issues more efficiently.

#### Reasons for switching to Fishbowl

While Expandable offers some useful functionalities, I find the system to be both expensive and not very user-friendly. The interface feels outdated and unintuitive, which slows down daily tasks and makes onboarding more difficult. Given the cost, I would have expected a more modern and streamlined user experience. There’s definitely room for improvement in both usability and value.

Just starting to use it. Implementation staff was very good to work with. However, we kept going back to make changes. I think it would be more helpful at the beginning to walk through orders and see how everything flows before trying to set up the system. We had to re-navigate several times. We are new to this program as we just went live. So don't have enough experice to rate yet.

#### Ratings breakdown

- Ease of use: 3/5
- Value for money: 3/5
- Customer support: 4/5
- Functionality: 5/5

#### Pros

Many different options for items. We like how well the scanners work with the program, and how the users can be customized.

#### Cons

Navigating was difficult at the beginning. We wish we could just send some entries with QuickBooks, instead of all or nothing. We didn't like how the billing came right away, even though implementation took a long time.

#### Reasons for choosing Fishbowl

Cost was a lot lower. Ease of working with Quickbooks.

### I LOVE FISHBOWL

I am the Inventory Specialist in our Manufacturing Plant. Before Fishbowl I spent countless hours looking for and counting every part in our plant, and also products. Once we signed onto Fishbowl I entered every product into the system. I added SKU's and Bar Codes to all of our parts and products and then our shipping team can scan out all orders live as they ship. Our manufacturing manager can scan completed products straight into inventory so I could have confidence when lining up the shipment, that the products were available.

#### Ratings breakdown

- Ease of use: 5/5
- Value for money: 5/5
- Customer support: 5/5
- Functionality: 5/5

#### Pros

I love Fishbowl for its ability to warn me of upcoming shortages in our manufacturing process. I love how it links our financial team to my orders and supplies to streamline the accounting process when invoicing and making payments. I love the ability to adjust Inventories as I walk around the plant, keeps me from wasted paper and time. I also love the fact that the customer support is live and an actual person. It has cut the cost of our operations by allowing me to be free to do other tasks. Mostly importantly, the security of knowing there is restricted access and there must be a log in for every action.

#### Cons

There is very little that I dislike for the fact of time saved and accountability of my suppliers. I used to spend so many hours walking around and inventorying every part 2 - 3 times a week.

#### Ratings breakdown

Fishbowl is an excellent production, inventory management and order fulfillment and invoicing platform that integrates well with shipping, commerce APIs, and QuickBooks. The customer support is for the most part really good and available.

My overall experience with FishBowl has been great. The learning curve is steep and the occasional system outages can impact our offline workflows greatly.

#### Ratings breakdown

- Ease of use: 3/5
- Value for money: 4/5
- Customer support: 5/5
- Functionality: 4/5

#### Pros

There are a dozen ways to look at data, which is helpful for our many departments. I used to work in order management/customer support and would spend most of my time in the sales windows. Now I am in inventory management and spend most of my time in the manufacturing windows. Having one comprehensive system has made changing departments seamless.

#### Cons

It's easy to "overwhelm" FishBowl. If you're working in too many tabs at once, the system often gets slow or freezes.

#### Ratings breakdown

- Ease of use: 4/5
- Value for money: 4/5
- Customer support: 5/5
- Functionality: 4/5

#### Pros

Fishbowl fits our needs well. We have a lot of parts and products and the platform allows us to efficiently keep track of everything and process customer orders quickly and accurately.

#### Cons

The reporting features leave a lot to be desired. I find that most of the time I am exporting large reports that are slow to generate to transform in excel to get the information I am looking for. Secondly, software integrations/plugins don't work very well and in a recent experience, was completely unusable.

It is a good and stable system overrall and the phone support is excellent. I had two cases where our data was messed up due to mistake on our end and I contacted Fishbowl and the support team was able to solve our issues in timely manner.

#### Ratings breakdown

- Ease of use: 4/5

#### Pros

Inventory mangement, Export and import. I especially like the fact that the export allows to save in Excel formart. There are also plenty of reports avaible.

#### Cons

There is no customer credit (balance) managent, and it is difficult to management payment across sales orders. Although the system has price rules but it doesn't our this simple requirement: setting up a minimum price for a product and any sell price under the minimum can not sold.

Now we no longer have to deal with a million messy spreadsheets for the warehouse. At least it keeps most of our numbers somewhat in sync with quick books, so I don't get yelled at.

#### Ratings breakdown

- Ease of use: 5/5
- Value for money: 5/5
- Customer support: 5/5
- Functionality: 5/5

#### Pros

You can mess with the template but it's all about how much time you've got. But surprisingly it did manage to handle batch numbers when doing bulk uploads.

#### Cons

The error message when an upload failed doesn't tell me anything. I wish there were a way to sort and filter my basic stock quantity on the product availability page through excel rather than having to go out of the application. Cancelling our subscription has been by far the worst experience ever. They make sure you never find the cancel button and force you to contact three separate people (sales) before allowing you to quit. This reporting thing is terrible too.

#### Ratings breakdown

At this point, I’ve had the opportunity to work with three team members, and each one has been extremely welcoming and helpful in explaining how everything works. Their support has been instrumental in helping us move toward our go-live date more efficiently. In fact, they’ve allowed us to accelerate the go-live timeline by scheduling longer, more focused meetings to work closely with us. Their flexibility and commitment have made the entire process much smoother and more productive.

#### Ratings breakdown

- Ease of use: 5/5
- Value for money: 5/5
- Customer support: 5/5
- Functionality: 5/5

#### Pros

The platform integrates well with the systems currently in use, and the AI-driven reporting provides a strong foundation for generating clear, actionable insights. It also supports a wide range of warehouse operations, whether items are shipped directly, handled through a 3PL, or fulfilled via Amazon FBA. This flexibility makes it well-suited for diverse fulfillment strategies as operations scale.

#### Cons

One drawback during the research process was the lack of transparent pricing information online. While the demo was helpful and informative, it would be beneficial to have at least a general idea of the pricing tiers available. This would help quickly assess whether the solution aligns with the budget and operational needs before committing to a deeper evaluation.

Overall Fishbowl appears to be a capable tool for organizations with advanced resource and inventory management needs. It just wasn’t the right fit for me after the free trial.

#### Ratings breakdown

- Ease of use: 4/5
- Value for money: 3/5
- Customer support: 4/5
- Functionality: 3/5

#### Pros

The platform feels built for teams that need structure and oversight across physical inventory and internal resources. It’s clear to me that there’s a lot of depth available once everything is configured.

#### Cons

Configuring workflows required a significant time investment and unfortunately the interface wasn’t immediately intuitive for our team.
