Pros
- My overall experience with Magento is really awesome and good. Because I have developed a number of websites for my users using the Magento.
- The software has been great in terms of capabilities and customization that have been useful for the online store.
- Beautiful websites, all our customer love them and are happy to use every single design, implementations are overfull and we love to develop themes.
Cons
- We had a strange tax problem earlier in the year and it turns out that we had specific tax rules set on different "store types" so this was causing customers to pay wrong tax amounts.
- The development on the platform is incredibly difficult. And when a client asks for updates, many Magento developers have bad practices due to the low entry point.
- Configuring the platform is frustrating, it needs high skills and is very poor in basic features. You need to install many extra modules and this could make you lose speed and stability.
Pros
- I like that the fact that it is so easy to set up...And the help is definitely there if you need it...and its perfect for small business owners...even when business isn't business as usual.
- I love how they evolved with the times. Square is NOT just for profit businesses but a big deal to nonprofits too.
- We love the delivery and curbside pickup features. There are still improvements that could be made, like setting up a subscription program to encourage recurring orders.
Cons
- Website would just randomly change settings and we would have to start over. Horrible reporting that is completely unusable.
- Leaving after a month- completely ruined our holiday sales with all the issues customers were having with the site.
- Some editing features are difficult to understand when adding pages or sections to online platform.
