You need to understand how to set it up correctly as there is room to a lot of confusion, specially when it comes to shipping, product variables, payment methods. The plugin does not give all solutions in one, and you need to have experience in setting up the correct way. #### Reasons for switching to WooCommerce There is much more flexibility for the business needs and the website loading speed is a huge difference. Wordpress/woocommerce loading speed is better and can be fixed. With wix you need to hire someone on their support team to fix loading speed. Also, woocommerce is a free solution. It's a great free platform for starting a new online shop, and their payment options allow you accept the most popular payment methods online. The one aspect that WooCommerce outshines Shopify on is SEO and that's primarily because of WordPress. #### Cons WooCommerce can get complicated really fast. From variable product types, to subscriptions, every layer of customization beyond the basic shop settings will lead you to having to purchase a WooCommerce add-on. It also struggles to integrate with other inventory systems.
