Pros/Cons

  • Pros

  • The dashboards are very clear, it helps us to look for errors in our apis easily. Apart from that, it is great that you can create custom dashboards

  • The implementation is easy. Let you know in real time if your server is down or is failing. The best tool I found. It's always sending mails when the server fails in any way.

  • Cons

  • The usability could be improved in some areas, the custom dashboard features are powerful but the syntax can be hard to work with.

  • Datadog is not very easy to use at the beginning and it needs a little bit of investigation but it is worth to learn it.

  • Pros

  • The product has always worked for us and is extremely easy to manage. The cost was definitely right for the product.

  • I like how easy it is to deploy and upgrade. The new 9.0 interface is a great improvement over the previous version.

  • Cons

  • Setup can be complicated. It would be great it could report on device and Linux access as well. As is it works best with Microsoft AD.

  • Like any software, how it is licensed. Licensed by how many active AD objects you have, well we have some active objects that do not get logged into or touched but they count against us.
