Job evaluation functionality
We are using the job evaluation functionality to help our company develop an equitable and systematic approach to paying our employees. As the tool has been verified pay equity-compliant, I am confident that the outcomes from this process will be defensible to my clients.
PROSApplication is reliable and operates as advertised without fail. The tool is straightforward for users and comprehensive in its content and conceptual approach.
CONSI would like to see the reporting functionality augmented such that keywords can be used to filter report results.

Excellent Time-Saving and Cost-Effective System
The system speeds up the delivery and accuracy of job evaluation decisions. The position also provides other documents (i.e., job description, job posting, evaluation rationale, etc.).
PROSThe system is easy to use, very understandable and only requires data to be entered once into the system. It allows for an organization to create a pay-equity based job evaluation system for all of its jobs.
CONSThe system does not automatically link to market data.
Reason for choosing Encompassing Visions
The system is a cost effective and efficient system. It saves a significant amount of time and effort, and It produces more documents with lots of comparative data, where the initial data has been entered only once. It is cheaper than having multiple Job Evaluation Specialists. Line managers are also better able to manage the hiring of new staff. The system can be used to evaluation all of an organizations unionized and non-union jobs. It's the best 21st Century job evaluation system that provides an integrated approach to HR issues and solutions, It is the best HR system in the areas of job evaluation and pay equity across all groups in the organization. Job descriptions are easily updated, job postings and interview questions allow new employees are hired quickly or current employees to be promoted., compensation can be based on fair analysis and is pay equity compliant. Organizational changes and employee performance can be managed.

Great Software
It was a great experience.
PROSThis software gave us the ability to determine internal equity within our staff, and allow us to develop a salary grid. We really liked the interview question suggestions.
CONSWe did not really need some of the other functionalities - i.e. the job descriptions. It does not produce actual job descriptions that are useful for us.

I very much appreciate your feedback Alexandria, and the time taken to provide it. Regarding the Job Description issue you mentioned, thanks for sending us a copy of what you currently use. We adjusted a few policy and report settings in our ENCV test database (truly, in less than 5 minutes) and have now recreated a software generated Job Description that contains the same content and uses the same format as the Job Description you sent to us. The only difference is the organizational branding we added in, which can also be adjusted to more specifically meet your needs. I believe Noella has sent you a copy by email. Please let me know what you think. My takeaway is that we need to do a better job in Administrator training as it relates to software configuration options. Our team is addressing that today.

No Other Job Evaluation Software Compares
Working with [sensitive content hidden] and his team is always a pleasure. While extremely knowledgeable, they go above and beyond to ensure that you understand the software and how to effectively use it for years to come. You know that they do not sell software only for the profit, rather they genuinely want it being used to support healthier, equitable and transparent workplaces.
PROSThe thoroughness of the JE form - the updates made from the standard JE is invaluable to the process, especially with the modernization of workplaces and skill sets. The reports- It is easy to cross-reference, compare and justify the results so that anyone in the company can comprehend.The Integrity of the software- the mathematical accuracy is critical as this is the foundation. It is important for me to know how much time and commitment as been invested to ensure that the results are accurate and defendable to employees and now to any audits that may follow with the new Federal Pay Equity Legislation.
CONSA "canned" implementation powerpoint that would help me to explain the system and the whys/importance and the benefits to the executive, but more importantly to all employees. As this is a huge time commitment, and the benefits and the whys of utilizing this system would be fairly universal, it would be the cherry on top to have this gifted to us for both modules. Huge time saver!! This has truthfully delayed my roll out.
Reason for choosing Encompassing Visions
I had researched the competitor software previously and found that they do not do a full comprehensive evaluation of the positions to the degree of mathematical accuracy that ENCV does. Their Job Evaluation system allows for us to conduct Performance Reviews (plan to buy module 2 next fiscal year) that tied directly to the JE (skills and competencies) and the end result is a more objective and transparent evaluation for all employees.

Saskatchewan Polytechnic is a unionized setting; Encompassing Visions supplies a methodology and platform that is readily understood and accepted by the various participants and stakeholders. Experience with the system has been highly favorable, and the software features meet the desires for a digitized work environment.
PROSEncompassing Visions is highly comprehensive and systematic in the software design features. As such, the system supplies the necessary granularity required in job measurement while concurrently offering a design that is readily understood by users and stakeholders. As well, the system outputs such as job description, job posting and position interview guide are invaluable for the associated compensation administration and talent acquisition processes.
CONSA formalized RFP process was deployed, and the competitor bids/presentations proved inadequate in comprehensive comparison. This proved the unanimous viewpoint of the selection committee participants. The software is cutting-edge in terms of the methodology and the approach with job evaluation management. As such, it is challenging to highlight any notable shortcomings with the system.

Encompassing Visions scored the highest on the evaluation criteria established by the selection committee. Specific parameters were paramount, and Encompassing Visions satisfied the business needs.

The former system was paper-based and dated in design.
