The only thing I have experienced is one time my card declined the monthly payment. Unfortunately, when I noticed and paid my subscription it saved my dogs info but deleted all of my previous puppy contracts. That really upset me. That is vital to have. It gives me a space for my contracts and it is easy to send and have someone sign. It does seem to be a little complicated to older people. Cons: I don’t like that there isn’t an app for your phone. That would make everything easier. I also do not like that when my renewal relapsed, it saved my dogs info but deleted all of my contracts and contacts from previous buyers. Two important things: There IS a phone app. Open breedercloudpro.com on your phone and tap the Install banner — it adds BCP to your home screen and runs like any native app. Your contracts and contacts are NOT deleted, ever. When a subscription lapses that is all that happens. Email support@breedercloudpro.com with your kennel name and I'll personally find your contacts today. The most common cause is what I think happened here: an account got created under a second email, and your original account (with all your contracts) is still sitting there exactly as you left it. And being able to set up repeating actions, with notifications is great! Cons: I wish you could track expenses by litter, or dog, and that you could mark dogs as rehomed, or passed away, and they be moved into an archive folder, or something, rather than either having to keep them, or delete them. I also wish that when importing a dog from a litter, it would automatically connect that dog to it's parents, instead of being a "stand alone" dog. On archiving: open any dog’s profile and use Status → “Archive this dog…” to move rehomed or passed-away dogs out of your active list without deleting them. At the top of your dog list, use the filter (Active Dogs, Archived, etc.) to show only what you need. On expenses by litter or dog: you can track this today by creating subcategories under your expense categories — for example, one per litter or dog — then assign each expense to that subcategory. They roll up in your expense reports and P&L. On puppy import: we recently updated this so importing a puppy from a litter now carries the sire and dam over automatically instead of creating a stand-alone record. I am very happy with it and the price point is perfect for a small breeder. I use a handful of outside stud dogs and I don't want them on my list of dogs. Organized my kennel and really the hardest part is not the dogs but keeping my communications with my contacts. My contacts, contracts and invoices are in one place. At a simple glance I know what dogs are expected to come in heat and what shot records are due on my litters. The actual beast part of the system is the pet portal that gives my customers a feeling of trust when dealing with me and a large purchase. I've been using BCP for years to manage my breeding program. I can track heat cycles and litters, medical records for puppies, client contacts and puppy contracts and health guarantees. The program is so easy to use and keeps everything organized and in one place with no need for paper records. Having clients sign contracts digitally and access their puppies' medical records is fantastic. If I need to look up a puppy or client from 10 years ago it's quick and easy to do. Customer support is really great. I rarely encounter problems but if I do they are on it so fast. The software is very reasonably priced and is one tool I would not do without. I also use their goat software for my dairy goat business. Cons: I wish I could add my own graphics, photos, colors and branding for emails (which I don't use because they look cheesy), contracts and medical records, so it would look nicer and on brand. On the puppy-update issue: there's actually a workflow built in for exactly this. On the litter's Owners tab, each puppy has a Rehomed date field — the moment you fill that in, that puppy is treated as gone-home and is no longer pulled into litter-wide health record updates. So future dewormings, vaccinations, weights, etc. you log at the litter level will only apply to the puppies still with you. If you weren't aware of the Rehomed date, that's on us, not on you — if a tech-savvy 3-year user couldn't find it, we haven't surfaced it well enough. I'm going to look at making it more obvious in the litter view so other breeders don't run into the same thing.
