## Reviews summary

- Overall rating: 4.5/5
- Total reviews: 229

### Secondary ratings

- Ease of use: 4.4/5
- Customer support: 4.6/5
- Value for money: 4.4/5
- Functionality: 4.2/5

### Rating distribution

- 5 stars: 139 reviews (61%)
- 4 stars: 67 reviews (29%)
- 3 stars: 17 reviews (7%)
- 2 stars: 2 reviews (1%)
- 1 star: 4 reviews (2%)

### Most mentioned pros

- It is greatly increased our bid tracking and output and greatly benefited our staff being able to log our brains into an easily customizable CRM rather than keeping everything in our heads alone.
- Once I gave the program a chance to replace my prior spreadsheets and notes, it quickly became clear that I could have one simple location for all projects, notes, updates, etc. which made it much better for knowing where to look for new entries and also assure that everything was up to date.
- Quotas give us goals we can work towards each week, month, quarter, etc.

### Most mentioned cons

- That combined with how they continue to bill clients, I would recommend staying away and I only write a bad review on a company every 5 years at most.
- Followup just kept trying to charge our account again so the credit card company put a stop to it.
- For the amount of money we paid, and what we were sold on and hoped it would come true, it wasn't worth it.

The thing I like most about this software is that it lets you send correspondence to customers directly through the system and then you can see all of your emails right there.

#### Cons

I'd like to see a little more flexibility such as being able to create more custom fields with options to track things specific to our trade.

#### Ratings breakdown

- Customer support: 5/5

#### Pros

The concept of following up with clients on their terms and having a tool help keep me on task is worth its weight in gold. Our weekly sales meetings are powered by Followup, we can get all the stuff that matters from our report card to measure our success or failures.

#### Cons

I think their integration with FCS is on the right track but would like to see that relationship flourish. Everyone hates double entry. It's getting better, but think about how you can make it seamless, or close to seamless. Our workflow starts in Followup, then progresses into FCS. We use the Quickbid feature in our service department daily, how can you integrate that?

#### Reasons for choosing FollowUp CRM

We are 100% referral based. So simple, easy, and effective solutions are all we need to close.

#### Reasons for switching to FollowUp CRM

It's all about the Followup, and easy reporting

### Stay away from Follow-Up CRM

This software did not work as presented, we were asked to be patient for upgrades which did not happen. Then when cancelling we were asked to work with them and they never followed through on Integration issues. Demanded money for a faulty product. Based on our experience, I cannot recommend FollowUp CRM.

#### Ratings breakdown

- Ease of use: 1/5
- Value for money: 1/5
- Customer support: 1/5
- Functionality: 1/5

#### Pros

We liked the presentation with the ability to integrate with Procore and the ability to integrate with our email tool. It had lots of "potential"

#### Cons

Title: Cancellation was acknowledged, but we were billed again and sent to collections Our construction company used FollowUp CRM and ultimately decided to cancel because important capabilities discussed during the sales and implementation process did not materialize or work as expected for us, including mobile functionality, reporting, email connectivity and the anticipated Procore bid-board integration. In March 2025, FollowUp CRM charged our card $6,200 for another annual term. We disputed that renewal but ultimately paid for and served the additional year. More importantly, we clearly communicated in writing that we were cancelling and would no longer use the service. On March 18, 2025, FollowUp CRM’s Director of Customer Success wrote: “If you would like to continue with your cancellation please confirm and @Is**** Z***** will process it for you.” On March 19, we responded in writing: “We will no longer be using the service.” That exchange occurred approximately one year before the next renewal date—far more than the stated 60-day notice requirement. Despite that written exchange, FollowUp CRM later claimed we owed another annual payment because we supposedly failed to cancel again. Our efforts to get FollowUp CRM to address the documentation were unsuccessful, and the account was referred to a debt collector. The collector has now reported the disputed account to credit bureaus. We have retained the complete email thread documenting the cancellation. In our experience, FollowUp CRM’s handling of cancellation, renewal billing and the subsequent dispute has been unacceptable. My advice to any contractor considering this product is to carefully review the automatic-renewal terms, calendar the cancellation deadline, send cancellation through every available method, demand explicit written confirmation that the account has been closed, and retain every email indefinitely.

### Bad business practices

The customer service is terrible and the software only works for following up on existing bid proposals. Most things don't work and they say they will talk to the [sensitive content hidden] about fixing the glitches in the software but won't offer refunds for the months the software couldn't be used. That combined with how they continue to bill clients, I would recommend staying away and I only write a bad review on a company every 5 years at most.

#### Ratings breakdown

- Ease of use: 3/5
- Value for money: 1/5
- Customer support: 1/5
- Functionality: 1/5

#### Pros

It only works for following up on existing proposals. For that they have a good dashboard but that was it for our uses.

#### Cons

Shady accounting practices. We canceled in writing 90 days prior to renewal and they confirmed. They said there was not an off-boarding call so they billed us $4500 for another year. We had to prove to our credit card company we canceled to get it refunded. Followup just kept trying to charge our account again so the credit card company put a stop to it. Also the software only works for following up on existing proposals. It does not work as most CRM's do and help you land new clients prior to bidding with them.

#### Reasons for choosing FollowUp CRM

We thought it would integrate quicker for construction. It did not.

The initial setup and follow ups from [sensitiive content hidden] and any questions I had were answered with him. The integrations, and tech part of the software is mediocre. For the amount of money we paid, and what we were sold on and hoped it would come true, it wasn't worth it.

#### Ratings breakdown

- Ease of use: 3/5
- Value for money: 2/5
- Customer support: 4/5
- Functionality: 2/5

#### Pros

Interface looks great; Implementation rep was amazing, simple to enter basic information.

#### Cons

Reports still don't work properly for us; promised of integration with ProCore, but after a year, still not integrating, especially to the bid board; no app for android, app for iphone doesn't work well and interface is hard to use on the phone; email integrations spin and then force the program or email to close. Be ware, 60 days are needed for cancellation or they autocharge for the full amount with no refund.

#### Reasons for switching to FollowUp CRM

Costly for a simple software; products were sold that still are not implemented.

#### Ratings breakdown

- Ease of use: 4/5
- Value for money: 4/5
- Customer support: 4/5
- Functionality: 4/5

#### Pros

The software does a great job of tracking leads and making sure no follow-ups are missed for a potential sale. Previously, these tasks would be tracked in excel at our company and they were easy to lose or overlook. The amount of reporting available is another strong feature of the product. The data is always seen in real time and can be broken into different time periods depending what your preferences are. Recently, these reports were enabled to be automated so you receive an email at a set time with the report you need.

#### Cons

Some of the integrations have not lived up to their potential. These integrations were a selling point four my company, but they have not provided any additional value or saved any time. They continue to roll out new integrations, which I do not have experience with.

The team at Follow Up is exceptional. Whenever I have an issue my email is responded to to immediately and normally any issue I have is fixed within an hour or less. Customer service is amazing and the follow up from our account manager has been great. She always is easy to reach and she follows up with meetings to check in on us.

#### Cons

The reporting is a bit spotty. Most of the time things work but there are times when I need a specific report and it will not populate. Also I had two reports of the same information given me different answers. Our account rep was working on why it was doing that.

#### Cons

I wish the program would allow me to sent mass messages from the software when it is necessary to do so. I would also like to see notifications when key tasks have been completed by others. I do not like when it reverts to all time on my lead display.

40yrs +. Commercial Roofing as Estimator/Project Manager. I have worked for large and small companies utilizing various forms of bid tracking. This is somewhat intense for my needs but not a cumbersome process. To be honest I did not use it much this past season but have started off this year with it; Hoping to see trends with respect to the various types of success with various contractors to eliminate sending quotes to contractors that never use our services. I never realized how much I bidding I do for certain general contractors that never give us an opportunity. We also want to see which specific product /system types we tend to be most successful in winning. I also like the ease of customer base entry when quoting to multiple GC's.
