Our team can stay on the same page, communication is easier, and it’s helped reduce administrative back-and-forth. The quoting and invoicing features have also helped us look more professional and save time. As with any software, there was a bit of a learning curve at first, but once our team got comfortable with it, Jobber became an important part of our daily workflow. Overall, I’d recommend Jobber to other service-based businesses—especially in tree care, landscaping, or field services—looking to improve organization, efficiency, and customer communication. Very useful for day-to-day business operations.

Pros:

Jobber has made it much easier to keep our tree service business organized. The scheduling, quoting, invoicing, and client communication tools all work well together, which saves our team time and reduces paperwork. Having job details, customer history, and team schedules all in one place has helped us stay efficient and professional.

Cons:

While Jobber does a lot well operationally, the reporting side has been frustrating. As a business owner using a CRM and field service platform, I expect quick access to core business metrics in one place. Basic questions like: How many leads did we get this week? How many estimates were converted? How many invoices were sent? How much outstanding money is owed?—those should be easy to see in a single dashboard or report. Instead, reporting feels more fragmented than it should be, and it takes extra time to pull together information that should be readily available for making day-to-day business decisions. For a platform built for service businesses, better reporting and more executive-level visibility would make a huge difference.

Reasons for choosing Jobber

More user friendly If I’m being honest, while Jobber won on usability and operations, I still think there’s room for improvement on the reporting side—especially for business owners who want quick visibility into leads, conversions, receivables, and overall performance

Reasons for switching to Jobber

Easier to use by far I evaluated several field service platforms, including Housecall Pro and ServiceTitan, before choosing Jobber. We chose Jobber because it offered the best balance of ease of use, scheduling, quoting, invoicing, and customer management for a growing tree service business. It was easier for our office team and field crew to adopt, and it fit our size and workflow better than some of the more complex or expensive alternatives. For small-to-mid-sized service teams, Jobber is often positioned as easier to implement than enterprise tools like ServiceTitan, while still offering strong day-to-day operational tool

Pros:

Jobber immediately streamlined the workflow of a client experience from the initial phone call to invoicing when the job was done.

Cons:

One of the biggest challenges has been that when employees forget to clock out of a job, as an admin, I have no ability to force the clock to stop. I end up spending time tracking down team members and asking them to clock out so I can go back in and correct their time on the job.

Reasons for choosing Jobber

Jobber felt more flexible to meet our needs. Overall it offered more for less money.

Reasons for switching to Jobber

We needed a web-based program that operated in real-time and was easily accessible to everyone on the team.

A Strong Operational Platform for Growing Service Businesses

5

Overall, our experience with Jobber has been very good. It has helped us organize and manage key parts of our business, from customer requests and quotes to scheduling, jobs, and invoicing. It gives our team better visibility and helps keep operations moving efficiently. There are a few minor limitations, but overall it has been a reliable platform that supports both our daily workflow and our growth.

Functionality

Pros:

What I liked most about Jobber is how it gives us one central system to run the day-to-day operations of our plumbing and HVAC business. We use it to manage requests, quotes, jobs, scheduling, invoices, and customer records, so it helps keep the entire workflow organized from first contact through completion. It has been especially helpful for keeping our field and office teams aligned. The scheduling, job tracking, and quote-to-job flow make it easier to stay on top of work in progress, and the customer-facing side feels professional and easy to use. Overall, it has helped us create more structure, improve visibility across the business, and support the systems-led approach we are building.

Cons:

What I liked least about Jobber is that there are a few small usability issues that come up from time to time. Occasionally, not all buttons or interface elements load properly on the first try, so I have to refresh the page. It is not a major issue, but it can be inconvenient during a busy workday. Another limitation for us is the lack of flexibility around phone numbers for notifications. It would be much better if businesses could port in and use their own phone number for customer notifications, since that would create a more consistent and branded customer experience.

Reasons for switching to Jobber

We needed a platform that was more practical for our day-to-day workflow, easier to manage, and better aligned with the level of flexibility we wanted as we built more structured systems around quoting, scheduling, jobs, invoicing, and customer management.

Simple and Effective Field Service Management Tool

Overall, Jobber has been a solid tool for managing field service work. Pros:

What I like most about Jobber is how it simplifies scheduling, quoting, invoicing, and customer communication all in one system. It’s easy for field teams to stay organized and keeps day-to-day operations moving smoothly without juggling multiple tools.

Cons:

The biggest downside I noticed with Jobber is that some key features feel locked behind higher-tier plans or add-ons, which can drive up the cost quickly. It can also feel a bit rigid at times when trying to fully customize workflows or reporting.

Reasons for choosing Jobber

We chose Jobber because it offered the best balance of simplicity, affordability, and functionality for our team size. It’s easier to train staff on compared to more complex systems like ServiceTitan, while still covering scheduling, CRM, and invoicing without unnecessary overhead or heavy setup.

I like how clients have a hub. I like that new clients can go to my website to fill out a contact form and all of their info is automatically in jobber for me to the convert to quote/job.

Cons:

There is too many differences between the desktop version and the app. Maybe its because I'm still new, but the app still feels clunky. Its not as easy to navigate as the site and the site is too difficult to navigate on your phones browser. Also there are things only available on the site. I think the app can use work. Especially with ease of use.

Does the job, and does it well

Overall, my experience with Jobber has been really positive. It does what it promises, my clients actually enjoy using it, and it makes my job as their accountant a lot easier. Not perfect, but genuinely one of the better tools out there for trades businesses.

Pros:

I'm an accountant and a lot of my clients are tradespeople, so I've spent a fair bit of time in Jobber. Honestly, it's one of the better apps I've come across for this kind of work. On value for money, I think it holds up well. It's not the cheapest option out there, but when you factor in what it does (scheduling, invoicing, payments, reporting, even a website), it earns its keep for most small trades businesses. Customer support has been solid in my experience. Whenever clients have run into something they can't figure out, the team gets back to them reasonably quickly and actually knows the product. Ease of use is probably where Jobber really shines. My clients aren't tech people, they're plumbers, electricians, landscapers, etc. They don't want to spend an evening learning software, and with Jobber they mostly don't have to. It just kind of makes sense once you poke around. Invoicing is a big one for me as the accountant. Invoices go out from the field, customers can pay online, and it all flows into QuickBooks. That last part saves me a genuine amount of time each month. I haven't run into many bugs. Every now and then the QuickBooks sync throws a wobble, but it's rare and usually sorts itself out. The scheduling tool is really handy for juggling crews and moving jobs around when something inevitably changes last minute. Drag and drop, easy enough. The website creation feature was a pleasant surprise. A few of my clients didn't have websites at all, and this gave them something simple and professional without having to hire anyone. All in all, I recommend Jobber pretty regularly. It covers the day-to-day running of a trades business and the financial side well enough that I can actually do my job properly.

Cons:

There really aren't many downsides, but if I had to pick at something, I'd say the reporting could be a bit more comprehensive. It covers the basics well, but for deeper analysis I often end up pulling data into QuickBooks or Excel anyway. The QuickBooks integration itself is good, but not perfect, there's still the odd thing that doesn't map across the way you'd expect, so it's worth double-checking rather than assuming everything syncs cleanly.

Reasons for choosing Jobber

I've had a look at Houzz Pro through other clients, and while it has its strengths (especially on the design and client presentation side) it felt more geared towards interior designers and remodellers than the everyday trades my clients are in. Jobber just fits better for plumbers, electricians, landscapers, and the like. The scheduling, invoicing, and QuickBooks integration felt more practical for the day-to-day running of a trades business, and the learning curve was gentler for clients who aren't particularly tech-savvy.

Extremely Happy With Jobber

Pros:

One of the biggest advantages is automation. Jobber handles customer communication through automated emails and reminders, which keeps clients informed without us needing to spend extra time in the office. This is especially helpful when we’re out in the field or underwater and can’t respond right away. The AI receptionist is another major benefit. Since we’re often unavailable to answer calls during dives, it ensures we never miss potential customers. It captures inquiries and helps us follow up quickly, which has improved our responsiveness and professionalism. We also appreciate how easy it is for customers to upload photos. This allows us to assess jobs ahead of time, provide more accurate quotes, and reduce unnecessary back-and-forth. It also helps us document before-and-after results, which builds trust with our clients. Overall, Jobber helps us stay organized with scheduling, job tracking, and customer management. It saves time, reduces manual work, and allows us to focus more on delivering quality dive services instead of handling administrative tasks.

Cons:

Credits and refunds can get clunky, especially when you’re juggling multiple jobs, partial payments, or rescheduled dive work. Credits often sit “detached” from specific jobs, so it’s not always obvious where they came from.

Reasons for switching to Jobber

We were not happy with the product. We were constantly having problems with the app.

Overall, we are very happy with Jobber. It’s user-friendly, and the customer service is exceptional. Admin controls are straightforward and easy to use, and the reporting features are strong. We also appreciate the different color options for team members on the schedule, as well as the today sheets. In addition, the integration with CompanyCam has been extremely beneficial for our workflow.

Pros:

Jobber is very user-friendly and the app works great. Clocking in and out was not a favorite thing for our employees, but the app is easy to use and our team adapted to it with ease. Customer service is always easy to get a hold of and they are patient and check in after the issue has been resolved.

Cons:

At times, it can be challenging to correctly sync with QuickBooks. This has led to some frustration and doesn’t seem to have an easy workaround. We’ve experienced duplicated entries and instances where payments are recorded in Jobber but not reflected in QuickBooks at all. We would also prefer the ability to have multiple quotes tied to the same request, and it would be nice to have more flexible options for archiving.

Reasons for choosing Jobber

We use a couple of these programs, but ultimately went with Jobber as a more complete platform that integrates well with the other programs.
