### Most mentioned pros

- It improves organization, team collaboration, and visibility into case status. While there are areas for improvement, particularly in customization and pricing, it remains a reliable tool for managing a busy PI practice.
- It keeps me organized with the tasks also the templates are time saving so long as they are in the most logical place, such as client-specific letter under the client tab and not under the defendant- adjuster envelope.
- It’s a helpful case management tool that keeps files organized, helps track communication, and supports daily workflow. While it could be faster and offer more flexibility in certain features, it ultimately streamlines the case-handling process and makes tracking deadlines much easier.

### Most mentioned cons

- This workaround is necessary to ensure all required details appear where they need to be, but it does make the process less intuitive and increases the chance of errors.
- That and the fact that there are certain features that, as a security measure, are only available to my administrator, which can make immediate problem solving difficult at times.
- I don't like that the documents are not readily available to open as you have to download them to see them.

### I would recommend CASEpeer to any personal injury firm

Our firm has had a really good experience with CASEpeer. Anytime that we have needed training they have been quick to set up a time. There have been a few times where I have needed customer support, trying to do some thing out of the ordinary and they have been really quick to respond.

#### Ratings breakdown

- Ease of use: 5/5
- Value for money: 5/5
- Customer support: 5/5
- Functionality: 5/5

#### Pros

We have made CASEpeer an integral part to our personal injury law practice. It is the client file. We also use it to track our marketing efforts, our staff productivity, and our contingency fees.

#### Cons

I think the only thing that was difficult about casepeer, was making sure that our entire team was all on the same page about the case stages. That was probably more on our end than anything that case Pierre could have done differently.

#### Reasons for choosing 8am CasePeer

We really like the demo and it didn’t feel like a massive sales pitch. Do you let the product speak for itself. It took us three different phone calls and zoom meetings just to get a demo back from filevine. The other companies were good to work with, we just felt like CASEpeer was going to work really work well for our needs.

#### Reasons for switching to 8am CasePeer

Our firm used to do more practice areas and we used Clio for years. I really felt like it was set up for massive defense companies and not our small law firm. They really didn’t have a good task management process at the time. We then made the switch to PracticePanther, but it really wasn’t robust enough for our growing personal injury practice, we stayed with PracticePanther for over a year. Finally when we decided to be serious about doing only personal injury cases we took meetings from filevine, CASEpeer and other companies we fell in love with the team at CASEpeer and they were upfront about pricing from the get-go.

The system allows us to easily track categories, key dates, statutes of limitation, case costs, contacts, case notes, case lists, and court notes. ### Casepeer a great tool for the legal field

I haven't used it much, but from what I've seen, it's a sophisticated and very helpful tool for those of us who work in the legal field

#### Ratings breakdown

- Ease of use: 5/5
- Value for money: 4/5
- Customer support: 4/5
- Functionality: 5/5

#### Pros

I like that even though it's not the fastest program, it doesn't crash and it does let me work happily

#### Cons

I don't like that sometimes it can't find the case by first or last name, and even less by case number, and you have to search with a magnifying glass to find old cases

### CasePeer is too rigid to be a viable option

- Overall rating: 2/5

- Verified reviewer: Yes
- Industry: Law Practice

Imagine you're shopping for a home and you come upon a new construction with great curb appeal, modern amenities, and even comes fully furnished -- there's just one catch: you can't add or remove a single thing. You feel motivated to 'make it work,' but soon discover what you're really in for. Upon touring the kitchen, you notice the cupboards are brimming with tupperware, but there are no serving platters for hosting parties. Normally you'd remove some of the plastic containers and add your own dishware, but it's not possible here. When you ask the developer about it, they explain how the tupperware can be laid out and used as serving trays, and while this is technically true, it would always be a poor solution and a compromise that one shouldn't have to make. That's kind of what it's like working with CasePeer. We recently abandoned our attempt at migration after putting in several months of trying to 'make it work' and encountering the full ramifications of overly simplistic software so rigid that nothing can be changed, combined with a developer that's equally uninterested in listening to the needs of a personal injury firm. Specifically, CasePeer has no ability to handle PIP subrogation or third-party/workers' comp subrogation, its available insurance types are limited to UM, UIM, and Umbrella, and the list of case types is set in stone, overflowing with clutter that's irrelevant to most personal injury firms, while lacking in crucial PI options.

#### Ratings breakdown

- Ease of use: 3/5
- Value for money: 2/5
- Customer support: 3/5
- Functionality: 2/5

#### Pros

CasePeer has many good ideas for personal injury software, especially when it comes to tracking medical bills and record requests, but the software is too simplistic and too rigid in its current incarnation.

#### Cons

The backend of CasePeer is too simplistic and rigid. Everything is set in stone. Nothing can be changed. It needs a more robust backend database married to the pleasing and useful frontend.

#### Reasons for switching to 8am CasePeer

We ultimately abandoned our switch to CasePeer and decided to stay with Needles Neos. Even though Needles Neos may not look as pretty and could use an update to its workflows, it's fully customizable and adaptable, has a better calendar, more robust document generation, and is all-around much more powerful.

The calendar deadline integration with tasks, make this software by far superior than other ones that I have tried.

#### Ratings breakdown

- Ease of use: 5/5
- Customer support: 5/5
- Functionality: 5/5

#### Pros

Calendar Integration is amazing, easy to use and keeps you on top off all of your deadlines. This is a life safer and time saver

#### Cons

I would like to see the main screen have some litigation dates showing instead of notes. Once a case is in litigation, it should have in the main view of the case important dates and events coming up as reminders; Also there should be a way to organize the medical records section better. It would help if you can add a date and check of each date if you have the medical record and the bill and the amount. Having a medical summary of the bills that could be downloaded through excel would absolute make this program the best.

#### Reasons for switching to 8am CasePeer

Management decided to make the switch, I was not a part of that decision

### Reliable Platform for Daily Case Handling

Overall, my experience with 8am CasePeer was positive. It’s a helpful case management tool that keeps files organized, helps track communication, and supports daily workflow. While it could be faster and offer more flexibility in certain features, it ultimately streamlines the case-handling process and makes tracking deadlines much easier.

#### Ratings breakdown

- Ease of use: 5/5
- Value for money: 5/5
- Customer support: 5/5
- Functionality: 5/5

#### Pros

I liked how intuitive the platform was. The dashboard, task management, and client communication tools made it easy to stay organized. I appreciated the clean layout and the ability to track cases step-by-step without feeling overwhelmed.

#### Cons

The platform can be slow at times, especially when switching between sections or uploading documents. It affects workflow when you're trying to move quickly.

#### Reasons for choosing 8am CasePeer

We ultimately selected 8am CasePeer because it offered the best combination of case-tracking workflow and client communication tools tailored for our workload. Its user interface was more intuitive, the automated reminders and case-milestone features aligned nicely with our paralegal-driven processes, and the pricing structure provided strong value for our volume of cases. The alternatives had strengths, but they either lacked the depth of task/timeline features we needed or required more configuration, which would have delayed our rollout.

It was a struggle at the beginning, and there were some features that we were lead to believe we were going to have, that we didn't, especially with reporting. However, over time of using the products, there have been some changes that have improved those capabilities and some of our suggestions have been taken in and used. There are still more that we'd like to have done (see above Cons) but it has continually improved over the almost 2 years we've been using.

#### Ratings breakdown

- Ease of use: 5/5
- Customer support: 5/5
- Functionality: 4/5

#### Pros

I love that everything we need to know about our client and their case is easily accessible. We know their medical treatment, when records have been ordered and received, when litigation documents have been sent and due, and love using the litigation event plans as well as the auto gen letters and tasks populating automatically on status changes.

#### Cons

I wish the advanced search button was in the top bar alongside the search - a lot of times we need to search using court file number and we always have to mimic a search to get the "error" for no search results to get to the advanced search button. Also, I would like that tasks can be parent/child. For example, a task to send something out, once that gets marked as complete it automatically updates the date of receiving the response to the correct # of days/weeks after. Our old CMS had that and it saved a lot of time manually having to update tasks if they prior was not completed on the due date.Really our main struggle has been issues with OneDrive for Business working seamlessly with CasePeer. It seems to have issues regularly where we have to deactivate/reactivate the link and sometimes that doesn't even work. And using the documents tab connected to OneDrive is slow and we typically connect it but don't necessarily use it the way it would be helpful (like categorizing documents, opening to edit, etc.) We generally just go to OneDrive thru FileExplorer as it's easier that way. The only benefit to the connecting at all is when we auto generate documents it saves automatically in the OneDrive file with the connection and saves the steps of "save as." However, many times there's issues where we have to do that "save as" step anyway.

#### Reasons for choosing 8am CasePeer

Best features for the cost

#### Reasons for switching to 8am CasePeer

We had an old licensed version and virtually had no reporting. We created a few referral reports, but it was cumbersome. And because it was a downloaded software we had to pay for a terminal server to house it. We wanted to switch to something with better reporting and was cloud based.

The integration process was quick and their staff has been great the entire time. We've been using CasePeer for about two years now and they're ass friendly and helpful as ever.

#### Ratings breakdown

- Ease of use: 5/5
- Customer support: 5/5
- Functionality: 5/5

#### Pros

Featurewise, client texting has been a significant game changer for us along with the task management system. But what I like most is their customer service - they are very responsive, friendly, and have even integrated a couple of our firm's suggestions into their software.

#### Cons

I think if you have a complicated litigation practice, their discovery and litigation tracking isn't the clearest or most expansive. It's difficult to keep track of service and pleadings when there are multiple parties but only one defendant - like when having to serve a UIM carrier.

#### Reasons for switching to 8am CasePeer

Leadership needed a better way to project earnings for the frim.

#### Ratings breakdown

- Ease of use: 5/5

- Customer support: 5/5
- Functionality: 4/5

#### Pros

The ready-made PI file management is excellent. The integrated client texting is phenomenal for keeping clients up -to-date and the warnings regarding stale cases is fantastic. Also, using the eSignature feature has been a game-changes. All-in -all fantastic product. There are few tweaks I would love to make, but still worth it.

#### Cons

Needs a far better NEGOTIATIONS tab/section, the settlement worksheet is not intuitive and should be able to be run without creating accounting inputs, and the cost tracking, especially for soft costs owed to the firm but not paid in advance, need to be reworked and refined. Needs to more user customizable. The calendar is also better and more robust on my prior software. Also, on a small peeve is that under UM insurance the adjuster has to be categorized as "bodily injury" instead of just UM adjuster.

#### Reasons for choosing 8am CasePeer

Better value and after research seemed to fit what I wanted. At my prior law firm we used server-based Needles and although the interface was very dated it was excellent software. CASEpeer comes very close and exceeds in some ways.

#### Reasons for switching to 8am CasePeer

PP is great for general practice and I love how customizable it is and how they are always adding new features, however if left a lot to be desired for managing PI cases, which caused us to use a lot of features sort of outside what they are intended or best for. CASEpeer resolves all that by being built to be PI specific.

Overall CP has been responsive if we have encountered any issues, and a solid product for our case management.

#### Ratings breakdown

- Ease of use: 3/5
- Customer support: 4/5

#### Pros

My favorite features are the client texting and searchable notes. The notes are accessible to all, and have been very helpful in managing all my cases, and not having to figure out where notes were saved in a file. Its universal and accessible to all.

#### Cons

The documents are not as easy to categorize/ organize. I don't use this feature because it does not have the ease of access I'd like.

Firm decision.

I've used Casepeer since I've been in personal injury, it's a great software. It does periodically get upgrades and we are able to make suggestions, and overall it exceeds our expectations!

#### Ratings breakdown

- Ease of use: 5/5
- Value for money: 4/5
- Customer support: 3/5
- Functionality: 3/5

#### Pros

The product is easy to use and manage. It makes training new employees easy because they are able to be hands on with the product and quickly learn without any previous experience.

#### Cons

Does not have the option for integration with commonly used records services. Texting option for clients is great, but the notifications and non-automatic notes into the case is not existing therefore defeats the convenience of the feature.
