SA is Effective and Easy to use
Great, as someone who came into an office job for the first time, using this software has been easy, and is very helpful in organization.
PROSThis software is easy to learn and use. It does a great job of keeping things organized and has lots of options for easy accessibility.
CONSSometimes it can load slow, and customer support is not the best, sometimes needing to wait long times for response or follow up on submitted issues.

Great Product
Customer support is amazing, and the product itself delivers.
PROSWe have been using Smart Advocate for roughly 7 years for our case management software. It has streamlined our practice and is a great tool to manage both our cases and our team.
CONSThe lack of ability to seamlessly handle single event accident cases involving multiple parties.

Overall great program. It is a bit tricky to at first but does make sense on how its formulated.
Notes, medical portion/record request, some of the forms, ease of use to locate and update contact information, how each aspect is predicated upon another of the program.
CONSTo create the forms, using the merge codes and having the margins/tab sets line up exactly where you want them to is frustrating if it is not a full left margin. Figuring out how to modify information in some of the screens if there is not an edit option on that screen.

Great experience much better than using just files on windows, makes the day to day a simple process.
PROSThe customer service is excellent! If you ever have any issues at all they are always there to help!
CONSChanging certain dates can be a hassle, requiring you to change multiple other sections to change simple things.

incredibly versatile and customizable
Much better organizing and reporting than what I'm used to (Needles)
PROSIt can be customized to fit the needs of the user, just as much as the practice area.
CONSDocument saving is more difficult than it needs to be. As documents have to be transferred to the SA platform, they lose the original metadata source, which can be very important in a legal setting.

Excellent case management system and terrific customer support
I have found SA to be more robust and user friendly as compared to our prior CMS (Needles). Moreover, the staff at SmartAdvocate has been an amazing resource for helping us to integrate into the new system, and where we ask, help us to create numerous functionalities that allow SmartAdvocate to function in a way that works best for our specific firm. I can't imagine a better group to work with and I have found SmartAdvocate to be robust and superior to anything I have used before. I also spent a tremendous amount of time with demos on other CMS systems and believed (and still believe) SmartAdvocate is the best of the bunch.
PROS* Dashboards and overall reporting functionality. * Bar coding for documents. * Integrations that allow for texting, faxing, etc. directly out of SmartAdvocate. * The summary page for each case allows you to quickly see all highlights of a case with a quick glance.
CONSLike any new system, there is a learning curve which created some challenged, but once you have figured things out (and the SA team did help with plenty of support for my office), the system greatly surpasses Needles.

Overall SmartAdvocate is really good, and we will definitely keep using it.
PROSOnce you get used to this software it becomes very easy to use and manage.
CONSI don't like that sometimes when converting the word documents to PDF it changes the formatting.

Great team to work with, great software and overall best product on the market.
PROSThe referral source tracking is incredible. I have a great snapshot of where our referrals are coming from and how much we spend on those campaigns. This generates a clear cost per case and cost per call.
CONSA few things to be worked out, but their team is always quick to jump on a call and work through any feedback.

The #1 software for PI law firm
Best experience I've had in a law firm. The organization that can be gained with SA simplifies everyone's job in the firm and frees up valuable time focus on the clients and their cases.
PROSSA has a wide variety of useful options that can boost productivity and automate repeated tasks. Their robust documents tab is a huge efficiency booster.
CONSSome data can only be edited in non-intuitive ways i.e. the SOL can't be changed from the summary tab where it is displayed, but needs to be changed from a separate tab "critical deadlines" etc.

Great Case Management Software!
It is great software! It keeps you organized and is easy to use.
PROSThe case wizard when opening a new file takes you step by step through the process. I love that it merges the information into documents, which is a huge time saver. Everything you need on your case is easily found. While working remotely, it has kept things running smoothly, as everyone involved in a case can see everything. The training webinars they hold are wonderful!
CONSCreating templates can be a bit challenging and time consuming, but it's worth it once it is done.

Good
Overall it's quite easy to use. SmartAdvocate hosts seminars fairly frequently which I have been finding useful. I'm new to this program and still learning. There are times when I feel like our operations in Class Actions may not fully fit in with this program, but Mass Torts seem to work well. We try to keep up to date and implement any features from the webinars as we go along.
PROSI like that everything is in one place and that we use significantly less paper. The notes feature is great for keeping track of every interaction with the client. The search feature works well in the documents section. It is hooked up to my outlook which makes it easy to save all correspondence into the appropriate files.
CONSWhen searching client names in the data base, you have to ensure there are no extra spaces or it wont come up even if it is indeed in the system.

Great software
Overall, it is a great product. SA has made working from home seamless.
PROSCloud based software makes it incredibly easy to have all your files available on the go, from home, or at the office. Workplans have helped our firm streamline and uniform our case preparation.
CONSSome of the features, like emailing, calendar integration, and word template formatting do not integrate well with Macs. The document's tab organization is a little clumsy.

Lack of customer support
I would not recommend this product only because the support is non-existing. The program is very good in my opinion but without customer support, you cannot get anywhere. training is ok and necessary but then you still have questions that are not answered. They charge a lot for a good program but then completely lack customer support.
PROSIt is good software as long as you have ON STAFF a dedicated person that can implement it for you.
CONSThere is no phone to call customer support - if you have an issue u can write a ticket and then wait for hours to get an online response. they only offer training sessions that are expensive. The transfer of data from other programs leaves a lot of information behind that you need to then spend time to transfer

Automation at its Finest!
We've gone from calling and emailing clients ourselves to letting SA take the reins. That saved time converts to more time spent working on legal research and writing for our attorneys and new potential client outreach for our support staff.
PROSThe automated client outreach and task systems have been phenomenal. It doesn't get any better than this.
CONSOut initial roll-out was rocky. Sometimes, features are labelled incorrectly or are not clearly defined. The automated processes rely heavily on inputting the information in the least visible parts of the application.

It's a great program
It is very user friendly and give a lot of options. The reports are great for keeping track of cases and their statuses. Note section is really awesome because we can pretty much note anything that is important for the case.
CONSWe are really happy with this program! We have not have any huge issues with anything. It is easy to learn.
