Great Software for Regulatory Agencies
Our experience with Edvera has been very positive and the software has had a major impact on our agencies ability to improie efficiency and allowed us to be very flexible with staff working remotely.
PROSThe software has allowed both our staff and our customers to save time and increase efficiency. We are also able to use the system from anywhere (home, office, on-site) which has provided a great deal of flexibility during the pandemic and afterwards since staff is able to work remotely or in the office with little disruption to office processes. The software has also allowed us to eliminate virtually all paper from the office as it permits us to upload any scanned paper documents we receive (or need to keep) directly into the system.
CONSThe software provider has been very responsive in updating/editing information as needed. We are currently working with the software provider to make improvements to the report generating process that allows us to export data from the system.
Reasons for switching to EDvera
We previously used an internal system for our oversight process but it did not provide us with the functionality/flexibility we needed.

Works as another Staff person
This product has greatly increased the productivity of my office. With a small staff, the Edvera system allows work to take place no matter the location and archive to keep documents available for any staff member to review and answer school questions.
CONSThe only features missing are the ones done internally by staff. When features, such as custom reports, can be discussed with the Edvera staff and if they require detailed development, funds must be acquired. This can be long within our internal processes. This can limit the features we have available in our particular system of use.

A Solid Resource
Our experience with Edvera has been quite positive. The project liaison is knowledgeable, offers suggestion, and maintains contact. They seem to have solid internal communication between their project leads and the developers. They have continued to work with us to get our platform to be what we want it to be. We did not transition from another system so have had to develop many elements from scratch. Edvera has been very helpful in facilitating our transition to a management system.
PROSCaveat: we are still developing our Edvera platform. It has a nice clean look and feel. The navigation overall is straightforward. It is readily customizable although you need to work with their developers in order to do so. There seems to be quite a bit of power to automate functions and to auto-populate information in documents .
CONSI do not find the search and filter functions intuitive to use. The user permissions can get a bit complicated as many of our users have multiple roles. It can be confusing while configuring your Edverra platform because the Edvera developers have a master list of fields they use in staging and many are not applicable to our situation and these fields (used for filtering, etc.) are not organized in a clear way.

Makes My Life Easier!
This product has made my life so much easier. It has streamlined our processes for document submission and management of institutional data. We have all appreciated the much-needed update to our antiquated systems. [SENSITIVE CONTENT], our contact at EDVera, has been very good at communicating and keeping us updated.
CONSThe process for granting access to specific documents for peer evaluators could use some improvement. We also wish there was a better system for importing historical documents.
