Pros:

Out of the box, LabStats had all of the basic info we needed and with the help of the service folks we got everything we needed. During the pandemic they provided help to allow our students to get access to the resources they needed and let us know, what needed to provide them to continue their education in a difficult time.

Cons:

Their were some minor issues with the client compatibility with certain systems, but with help from LAbStats team they were revolved quickly.

LabStats is an excellent tool

Our experience with LabStats (LS) has been phenomenal. The product is well worth the cost; however, what is priceless is the support and service that the company provides. Implementing LS is just the start of the LS experience. Yes, it is easy to deploy, set up, manage, run, use, etc. The support and service are outstanding, and you will never feel left out in the cold. The team at LS is dedicated to ensuring that you are using the product to its full potential. If there is a function that the LS community as a whole asks for, the LS team will do their best to ensure that it is available in future updates. Having the ability to customize a product to suit the needs of our analysts is fantastic, and the LS team does its utmost to update the product to meet our needs. If you are looking for a tool to help you reduce costs and increase your analysts' productivity by reducing hours of manual work or using multiple products to do what LS can do, you should consider LS.

Pros:

We have been using LabStats (LS) for ten years. The product has continuously improved over that time to be better and more useful. LS has been very beneficial for Mount Royal University. Since using LS, we have reduced five computer labs and four software titles. The combined savings has been approximately $120,000. LS has been very beneficial to our students. We provide maps and real-time availability of computer resources to our students. LS has given our analysts a quick and easy tool to use to verify inventory. We have recently deployed LS to our Administrative systems to provide better management.

Cons:

There are no Cons that come to mind for LabStats.

Pros:

Labstats interface is clean and easy to follow. The maps and availability features provides good visual content.

Cons:

We used this product for about 5 years. The database became unstable and support waned.

Labstats essential for computer lab management

We use labstats to gather information on software usage to audit our software license purchases, as well as keep a log of user activity. This lets us put the right software and the right number of computers where students want to use them. We've been able to reduce computers in some areas and add them in others to meet student needs, and reduce the number of software licenses for certain programs, saving money.

Pros:

Labstats is easy to use and has just about all the features you'd want configured out of the box. Getting going with Labstats is very quick and easy. Adding custom software and other items is also very easy. The information it reports on is useful and necessary for running a large computer lab system on campus.

Cons:

There's not much to dislike about Labstats. I've been using it for almost 10 years, and can't remember a time having a major problem with it!
