Founder & Exectuive Director

Disappointing, see above.

Pros

It looks pleasing and may be easier to use, but no longer meets our needs.

Cons

We need trainings like those offered under the old system (compliance trainings). If I had time to create them, I could use any platform.

Textual and video guidance on usage is good
Adding Resources functionality is simple

Cons

Courseware Library not visible beyond the featured courses
Tedious course allocation process
Complex Organisation structure configuration
Courses not visible on full screen, only on limited size window
Courses do not load easily, 'requires Adobe Flash' for every course session but does not download

Great free LMS, seems to be fully functional/ usable

I was looking for a learning management system. My experience was solely one for evaluation to determine if it would work for my organization's needs.

Pros

Free, detailed, seems flexible enough to integrate into any organization

Cons

Seemed somewhat complex and top level general for what I was trying to do. Also, the integration with a QMS platform was a must have for me.

Helpful for Small Businesses

Pros

The LMS is free for under 100 users. It's a functional, easily customizable solution for businesses who want to build their own training modules.

Cons

We were looking for a partner who offered pre-built training, while this solution offers the ability to build your own content.

Just getting started

We are just at the beginning phase of using Latitude Learning right now and have not created all the programs we'd like to create to help train our employees. But feel like this can be a very effective tool for us as our company grows.

Pros

The way it allows you to customize virtually any part of training you'd like to integrate at your company.

Cons

The look of it feels a little outdated and makes it a little hard on the eyes when looking at it after a while. Some people may enjoy the simplicity of it.

Latitude Learning Has Helped

Great value for the features. Good for small companies without an unlimited training budget.

Pros

The system is easy to use and cost effective.

Cons

I can't think of anything that I dislike about the software for the value. I will recommend to anyone with a small to medium company with limited resources but big need.

Created my own industry certification and continuing education classes

The customer service team is very responsive to my requests, and knowledgeable of the Latitude Learning products, strengths, and work-arounds. Thank you!

Pros

The Home Page for the student is comprehensive and easy to navigate.

Cons

I had to pay another software technician to "produce" the classes before they could be uploaded into Latitude Learning's software for publishing as online courses.

Difficult to Learn

I was looking for a way to run an online school. I did not find what I needed and would not recommend this website based on my experience.

Pros

It seems to look nice. What? Do I need to add more before you will allow me to go on? There is nothing more good I can say about it.

Cons

It is difficult to setup and create courses. There are many other LMSs out there that are much easier for the teacher to setup and use. I was looking for a replacement for Instructure's Canvas that also has a free for teachers service, but does not allow the setup of a school in the free for teachers program. LL seems to have the school, but it leaves a lot of unanswered questions and no apparent way to find the answers. What would have been better would be if they automatically enrolled you in their own course that explains how to use their service. Frankly, I just got frustrated trying to figure it out and gave up. It just was not worth the effort.

Excellent LMS

Easy to use hosted LMS at very affordable prices.

Pros

The performance metrics are a great asset, the setup was fast and easy. The no-risk contract andaffordable pricing makes it an easy solution to implement.

Cons

As with any new solution it takes some time to get adjusted to the new menu flow (it is very customizable). No self hosted options available.
