As a non profit agency this software provides a low cost solution to online purchasing of our low cost training.

#### Ratings breakdown

- Ease of use: 5/5
- Value for money: 5/5
- Customer support: 5/5
- Functionality: 5/5

#### Pros

Learning Stream's flexibility is by far one of its biggest pros. We have been thrilled with the mobile responsiveness as many of our clients don't have any other access.

#### Cons

Due to the amount of flexibility within the program it can be a little difficult to learn initially but their customer service by far makes up for it!

### Learning Stream Really Is the Best

Overall, our experience truly has been five stars. We can't imagine that there is a product out there so complete and so comprehensive that could ever replace it for our needs. Their support has been amazing, always providing thorough and kind answers in a very timely manner.

#### Ratings breakdown

- Ease of use: 5/5
- Value for money: 5/5
- Customer support: 5/5
- Functionality: 5/5

#### Pros

Learning Stream saves us time and money. If we were to have a human perform all the functions that it does seamlessly, we would be paying at least ten times as much. They made it easy to learn their system through a smooth onboarding process. It provides everything we need to manage multiple types of events with varying complexities. Our instructors are able to log into their side and handle attendance and grading. Students are able to easily find and register for classes, manage their accounts, complete evaluations, and obtain certificates. It's really the full package deal, all in a secure environment.

#### Cons

It's difficult to say that there is anything I don't like about it. I think when we first started using it, perhaps it was a bit daunting with all the features. However, we started slowly, used just a fraction of what was available, and have come to love the fact that it does have those layers of complexity that we can lean on from time to time in order to have the system do exactly what we need.

#### Reasons for switching to Learning Stream

Moving from Google Forms and Sheets was necessary as our participants numbers grew and the need to issue certificates became important. We needed a solution that could handle more on its own.

### A Good Solution, especially if you use ClubExpress

Learning Stream's support and onboarding were great. The team was responsive and knowledgeable. The tool, again, is a bit rudimentary, but it works and has been solid for us since we went live with it.

#### Ratings breakdown

- Ease of use: 3/5
- Value for money: 3/5
- Customer support: 4/5
- Functionality: 3/5

#### Pros

Integration with ClubExpress was the big one for us. So far that integration has been pretty solid.

#### Cons

Some of the interfaces are not used in our integrated process, but the ones we have used do provide the information we need. I do feel like the test creation interface is rudimentary and would like more copy and edit options between tests.

#### Reasons for choosing Learning Stream

We looked at others not listed as well. Ultimately the integration is what got us.

### Best Registration System I've Seen

- Overall rating: 5/5
- Reviewer: Julie S.
- Industry: Education Management

- Product usage: Used daily for more than 2 years
- Reviewed: August 2026

I have been using Learning Stream since 2012 and it decreased my work load from day one. As the program I coordinate grew, so did the functionality of Learning Stream. Texting features became available. As we went to online classes the integration with CanvasPro became available. It was very simple to learn how to use with the training that was provided by the company back then and even now, if I have any questions they are quick to reply. All in all it provides everything needed for my work.

#### Ratings breakdown

- Ease of use: 5/5
- Value for money: 5/5
- Customer support: 4/5
- Functionality: 5/5

#### Pros

What I like most about Learning stream is the functionality of it. There are so many functions that I love! Ability to copy multiple events at once, the integration with CanvasPro is automatic, the texting features and the waiting lists are automatic, just to name a few. Plus the customer support over the years has been great!

#### Cons

When transferring someone to another event, I wish the payment would transfer with the person but it does not. That is another step after the transfer of the person. You must go and transfer the credit.

#### Reasons for choosing Learning Stream

Learning Stream has an automatic waiting list and other products do not.

The learning curve is a bit steep and there are many things on our "wish it could do this" list, and also many "oh, look I didn't know it could do that". But once you know it, it's better than most systems I've tried, especially for the price.

#### Ratings breakdown

- Ease of use: 4/5
- Value for money: 5/5
- Customer support: 5/5
- Functionality: 4/5

#### Pros

Once you learn it, it is a powerful, customizable tool that is useful for posting the different types of events you might have.

#### Cons

The text editor in the event page set-up is a little clunky - formatting is quirky and you have to know the "tricks" to set up a uniform page.

#### Reasons for switching to Learning Stream

Previous manager made the switch. I don't think it was powerful enough for our needs.

### Good Online Registrar (Could Great With a Little Work!)

- Overall rating: 4/5
- Reviewer: Jim F.
- Verified reviewer: Yes
- Industry: Events Services
- Company size: 11-50 employees
- Product usage: Used daily for more than 2 years

Learning Stream provides a cost-effective online interface for online registration acquisition and data management. A first-time online registration service customer might face a significant learning curve to make the software fully operational. The e-mail help & support team is very effective, though I dislike having to contact them for often simple tasks that should be self-resolvable with a decent online support module. With a re-build to the back-end client interface, this would be a top-notch online registrar service.

#### Ratings breakdown

- Ease of use: 3/5
- Value for money: 4/5
- Customer support: 4/5
- Functionality: 3/5

#### Pros

The form-builder is fairly straight-forward an easy to work with. Manipulation of form-builder hues and such to generally match the appearance of your existing website is easy. Interfacing billing with our Merchant Account provider was not an issue. In the end, the software accomplishes the intended goal of successful event registration and billing, though we do feel “lost” when using it a lot more often than I desire. The overall cost of use is the most attractive feature of this software.

#### Cons

The back-end of the software is extremely "clunky" and difficult to work with in most all respects. The client messaging module is outdated and unable to even provide a true proof of your message appearance before being sent. Many features are unintentionally “hidden” and difficult to find. The overall GUI needs serious reconstruction. Data reporting for each form item/question is available, though no filtering of data is offered, you must take data outside of the software (Excel, etc.) for filtering. One of the most significant issues is the lack of a quality (self-initiated) help & support module. The existing help feature is poorly designed and rarely actually provides a customer solution. After an initial telephone consultation for software set-up, all help & support is by e-mail messaging. Problem issues are typically solved in a relatively short order, but there is not a live support desk to turn to. A good online help & support module would be, well, very helpful!

#### Reasons for switching to Learning Stream

We sought to change our online event registration service provider for several reasons. (1) Cost - The fee to use Cvent had grown to beyond being cost-effective for our event. (2) Lack of available reporting to meet our event & billing needs. (3) Off-shore help & support phone rooms staffed by persons who had great difficulty understanding and/or speaking English.

### Great Experience Using Learning Stream

- Overall rating: 5/5
- Reviewer: Pam C.
- Verified reviewer: Yes
- Industry: Education Management
- Company size: 2-10 employees
- Product usage: Used daily for less than 6 months
- Reviewed: April 2022

Learning Stream has automated our registration and reporting process. Also, our registrants find it simple to setup an account and register for classes.

#### Ratings breakdown

- Ease of use: 5/5
- Value for money: 5/5
- Customer support: 5/5
- Functionality: 5/5

#### Pros

1. After the initial setup of courses (confirmation emails, reminder emails, evaluation forms, and certificates), the registration process has allowed registration to be automated and registration easy to track. 2. The ease of cancelling / refunding registrations. 3. The ease of transferring registrants to a different class. 4. Ease of running reports 5. Automatic emails for waitlisted attendees and when a person cancels, waitlisted receives and automatic email letting them know that they have been moved to the registration list and has 48 hours to pay the tuition fee. 6. Ease of seeing how much revenue is being received for each course. 7. Courses can be easily copied for ease of setup for future courses. 8. Account setup allow attendees to maintain a central location to view their certificates as well as track previous courses, and print receipts. 9. Learning Stream customer service is the BEST! They always respond quickly to any of our questions.

#### Cons

1. Attendee notes can only be written for confirmed registrants. It would be nice to write a note for non-confirmed attendees. For example, if a person does not complete the registration and a follow-up phone call is made by a person on our staff, a note cannot be made to record the phone call. This results in making duplicate calls to this person. 2. I wish the registration lists could be sorted by different columns without generating a report.

#### Reasons for switching to Learning Stream

1. Student Manager did not have the capability to have attendees complete an online evaluation form and receive and automatic certificate via email after it the evaluation was completed. 2. It was also very complicated to run reports. 3. It was very SLOW to run the program.

We moved away from learning stream to use another program because it wasn't solving any problems for us.

#### Ratings breakdown

- Ease of use: 3/5
- Value for money: 3/5
- Customer support: 3/5
- Functionality: 2/5

#### Pros

This program was the first one of it's kind that I had used when I started my role with GLS. It was easy to learn and understand.

#### Cons

There was not enough automated features and a lot of things had to be done/followed up on manually.

#### Reasons for switching to Learning Stream

share point limited the amount of registrations we were able to store.

### EdAdvance Review

- Overall rating: 4/5

- Verified reviewer: Yes
- Industry: Education Management
- Company size: 501-1000 employees
- Product usage: Used daily for less than 2 years

My overall experience has been good. Once we learned how to navigate the system effectively, the process went fairly smoothly.

#### Ratings breakdown

- Ease of use: 3/5
- Value for money: 4/5
- Customer support: 5/5
- Functionality: 3/5

#### Pros

Easy to use and navigate, with a range of helpful features specifically designed to manage professional development, including certificates, attendance tracking, prerequisites, and more. The system also offers accessible and responsive assistance when support is needed. It would be beneficial, however, to ensure that all individuals who have been granted access to the program or administrative functions are able to contact support directly, rather than limiting assistance to a primary account holder or designated administrator.

#### Cons

Suggestions for improvement include: Simplify the overall user experience. Sometimes simpler is better. Reducing unnecessary options and settings would make the system more intuitive and easier to manage. Streamline course setup. Allow administrators to hide or disable features that are not relevant to their organization and provide a more straightforward setup process. Improve image management. Requiring image file titles to have no spaces is frustrating and creates an unnecessary extra step when uploading and managing images. Make group registration easier. Provide a simpler way to register multiple people at once without requiring users to “link” each individual. Improve management of multiple dates. Provide a more intuitive way to offer multiple dates for the same course or event without having to create separate courses or use workarounds. Improve registration options. Allow administrators to offer different registration choices or options within a single course more effectively, rather than relying on registration questions to manage these choices. Update the Knowledge Base. Provide current guidance, step-by-step instructions, examples, and short video tutorials so administrators can quickly find answers and learn how to use the system effectively.

I am very happy with the platform and our users have an easy time navigating it at the same time. Very rareful encounter issues.

#### Ratings breakdown

- Ease of use: 5/5

- Customer support: 5/5
- Functionality: 5/5

#### Pros

I really enjoy how user friendly the system is and its interface is easy to interact with both as an admin and a user. Back ends is to navigate.

#### Cons

It would be helpful for integration with Brightspace or other LMS to be able to populate learner grading.
