EHR with HEART

Overall it's evident that PointClickCare as a company CARES about providing a product that enables users to provide the best care possible of their patients/residents. The founders of the company lead by example and it shows.

Pros

As a healthcare organization with branches that focus on varying patients/settings (SNF/LTC/Home Health/Financial Services), we have found that PointClickCare is an "all-in-one" hub for us and truly meets our needs across the board. PointClickCare as a company has proven to be one that actually wants to hear from their customers, good or bad! Improvements & updates are continuously being made based on feedback we the users have given them. When an issue in the past was brought to their attention that doesn't have a quick fix, the PCC Customer Service Rep really dug in and helped us to find an interim work around while the issue was elevated. There was NO 'brush off', it was clear they wanted to be sure they understood where we were having trouble. We were heard.

Cons

I can't say I have any misgivings about using/recommending this software.

Charting/EMAR system

Overall the charting system is fairly simple to use and learn. No real complaints.

Pros

The EMAR function is easy to use, I like the color coded patient bars which makes prioritizing easier.

Cons

Like the name states its a lot of mouse clicks to get through to complete your charting. The UDA are a bit touchy sometimes.

Cons

Add on products are often expensive. Be sure to consider the cost of all items you are interested in.

The ease of use. With very little training and direction, you will be navigating this software like a pro and quickly and efficiently using all the functions... and so will your staff!

Cons

Customer Service and any Help function operated like a suggestion box with a hole on the bottom. Luckily, you don't need it often.

Great Application

Pros

This is a great tool for Nursing Facilities to use. All patient information is just clicks away and is all in one place. This cuts down on search time, paper and printing costs, filing, etc. It is a great way for the pharmacy to connect to patient records as well.

Cons

The worst thing is the original set up. It is quite time consuming.
