Very user friendly, easy to modify when needed

PROS

I like that the program is easy to navigate and that the team was there to meet our needs. We were able to modify our own assessment forms fairly easily and have our intake forms modified to make things easier/quicker to read. All we had to do was ask and the worst they could do was say no!

CONS

Compared to our last platform, this one does not have many cons. There is nothing major that I can think of at the moment.

Best Product for the Industry

PROS

The most important features are the ability to have all documentation in one place that is accessible from anywhere, not just while in the facility and the ability to integrate with other systems like pharmacy, lab, and radiology.

CONS

The only con I see is cost. You have to make the decision to be "all in" because if you decide not to add a new feature due to cost, you will not have all the benefits of the system. Some times it feels like you are getting "nickled and dimed" but it's important to add features as they become available.

AHT wasn't user friendly and did not have all the features that PointClickCare offered including the ability to create your own forms and tools.

Easy product to use!

Ease of use. Easy to find reports, monitor information using the Dashboards. Census is a breeze to process and I like how easy it is to bill!

Point Click Care Senior Living Review

PROS

Point of Care is a great feature for CNA documentation. Utilzing the dashboard to see real time the progress of documentation is key for leadership. The lookback feature in tasks and reports is very important for nursing to do a review of documentation easily when asked. The ability to follow up on your own or another colleagues progress note is a wonderful feature. This allows comprehensive charting on key items as it relates to the resident.

CONS

I wish that immunizations that are documented on eMAR would flow to the immunization tab in point click care. This would be a great optimization.

Review PCC

Overall I would say the experience has been good. I have used other platforms prior to.

PROS

I like the links within the software, the ability to link progress notes to care plans is a nice tool to utilize when following up/looking into falls.

CONS

The response time/ time it took for PCC to correct errors. While it was helpful that there work arounds, I feel the issues/errors took weeks. I am not sure the process in which they have to go thru to correct the issues, however as a user it is very frustrating.

PCC is more than just a software

I can't imagine doing this job without PointClickCare

PROS

PointClickCare works hard to be an industry leader and to help customers meet their requirements and streamline their processes. PointClickCare is easy to use and train staff on. PCC works to integrate with many vendors to assist in our daily workflow processes.

CONS

There are additional costs with additional modules which can add up quickly.

Point Click Care- easy to use and data is easy to use

We like the ease of training the software to end users. Also the data being available and the reports make the data easy to find and use.

CONS

As a large company, the cost gets to be a lot.

Our nurses love PCC

I think overall this is the best product on the market for Post Acute Senior Living at this time.

PROS

The software is easy for even our technological challenged team members. We are able to use the Senior Living Platform to streamline processes from admissions to daily care to billing services. We added lab and radiology results within the past year and this has been a valuable time saver.

CONS

There are a few glitches we have noticed that we are still waiting to be fixed by product support. There are some wonderful additional add ons that unfortunately we are just not able to budget and use at this time.

Prior to using PCC, we were only using MatrixCare for billing, census management, MDS and care planning. The rest of our resident charts were paper. When planning to dive into an EHR, we decided the clinical advantages of PCC outweighed the business advantages of MatrixCare.

The Power of PCC

Ease of use for all end users regardless of position. The Resource Hub is a great place for anyone to get help, find Product news, Enrollment to live trainings, or connect with other PCC users through the Pulse online Community Portal. Customizations of assessment/evaluations to capture information for your specific corporation.EHR scorecard allows you to see your organizations score compared to others in your peer group.

CONS

We are a multi facility community and if there was one thing I could wish for was being able to pull all information from one level to another.

Top Notch program

Visually appealing and easy to learn. I was in charge of training other employees and even the computer illiterate employees navigate your program with ease.

PROS

The implementation team was great to work with. Also, being able to troubleshoot without the help of technical support is amazing. The pulse community is extremely active (timely responses) and super friendly.

CONS

I always recommend others to use the pulse feature first instead of reaching out to technical support, as they are slow to respond and only give generic feedback. Most of the time they are no help at all, even if you provide all of the troubleshooting and documentation to support your issue.

PROS

The entire layout of PCC is a seamless process. From the overall color scheme, down to reports and charting. The navigation of the system is a priceless one. Personally, I enjoy the progress note section. It is easy to use, very functional and something I use daily.

CONS

None. This platform is amazing just like it is! I love all of the features.

That is has all of the functionality to document the care we provide, and support through documentation the care we provide. It is user friendly and efficient.

CONS

The inability to transfer from SNF to ALF seamlessly although that functionality is in progress now.

PCC finding new features every day

It is important part of my work lift. With the discovery of new features and the updates PCC makes my workflow flow with ease. I am excited for the future and the new features that will hold.

PROS

MDS features. It helps to guide the user to submit the most accurate information with recommendations and warning to provide the MDS nurse with additional insight before signing and closing document.

CONS

The flow of the resident chart to the MAR. Wish there was an easier way to go back and forth while in the MAR to review information. Also wish that when you give a flu or other immunization as you sign it off in the MAR it takes you to the immunization record to assure the nurse is completing the required document.

Customize Setup

The DOH requires for various licensures that a Plan of Care is created or the ISP. Recently we built an assessment that enables the user to answer questions that will score the Resident's LOC then they select the task from the assessment and personalize. Once the form is locked it pushes over to the billing side service package and also pushes the tasks for scheduling. The buildings now print the ISP. Prior to this they would complete for form, create the tasks and then complete a Word document for the ISP.

PROS

I like the fact you can customize forms and create workflows that will combine several tasks into one easy flow.

CONS

Entering medical professionals needs to be done at the Enterprise level then linked to buildings.

Eldermark did not allow for us to customize. In addition, we were still handwriting state forms which we now complete in PCC.

Core Platform - Great Start

PROS

PCC gives you the basic tools you need to be informed and help staff direct care. From orders management, to progress notes. Point of Care and even risk management these tools allow staff to look up information quickly, document efficiently and provided the care residents need.

CONS

There are always little things could be improved, but overall its a sound product.

Unfortunately we do not use this software to its fullest extent.

We do not use this for our SL to its fullest extent. Our goal is to complete implementation for SL side by end of year.
