SigmaCare EHR is a cloud-based electronic health records (EHR) solution that is designed for assisted living communities, long-term care facilities and post-acute care organizations. The EHR platform includes clinical decision support, analytics and financial tools that help organizations cut costs and allows users to record patient care. Clinical Decision Support (CDS) provides physician orders and assessments, longitudinal resident data, content management, interoperability and clinical intelligence.

Clinical intelligence functionality leverages the resident’s information along with clinical content to provide support at the point of care across the care delivery workflow. Additionally, care coordination is supported by real-time collaboration and exchange of clinical data throughout the community and across the continuum of care.

SigmaCare EHR’s modules include resident-specific automated alerts and suggestions for resident treatment interventions or alternatives. The dashboard makes information accessible to all members of the care team. Other features include Computerized Physician Order Entry (CPOE), Medication Management and Financials. Support is provided via email and phone.

Decent EHR software

I find that sigma is a decent EHR software. Especially when it comes to the basics

Pros

It covers all the basics of an EHR

Cons

When it comes to vitals, it doesn't give you the ability to use one set of vitals for your medications. I feel that there should be a feature that allows this. It doesn't, screen duplicate orders. As a result, this creates more room fo medication errors. Their search feature could be more streamlined and becomes tedious to work with and doesn't allow to search by category. Instead, you have to use very specific string searches.
