Great functionality and value
Corteza is a powerful, flexible platform that you can use to create any number of different apps, but especially CRM apps. In fact, it comes with a highly developed, complex CRM template. Its flexibility means you can create a custom CRM to suit your business without having to search endlessly for a proprietary CRM that does most of the things you want. And because it's open source, it's a lot more cost-effective than proprietary options. You can use Corteza for free on your own server or get the cloud version from Planet Crust. You can build on Corteza yourself or hire Planet Crust to help you build your app – which is what I recommend if you're not a software developer. Planet Crust will also maintain and support your app for you.
CONSThe user experience could definitely be improved. The UI is a bit too fixed in place and certain obvious UX functionality that you get from proprietary CRMs are missing. Doing things in Corteza often takes more clicks than you'd like, but I expect that will be improved with new releases. On the other hand, Corteza isn't only limited to CRM apps, so the fact it's so flexible and functional outweighs the UX short-comings.

Opened a door
I couldn't imagine that would be possible for me to use it and learn as fast how to make an app.
PROSAs a non-technical user, Corteza made it possible for me to make a professional app for a very cheap price. Nothing in comparison exists for the specific needs we have in the funeral domain.
CONSMost difficulties I met belong to myself. I guess some features can be improved but I'm not technician enough to be aware of them.
Reason for choosing Corteza
Corteza is open source and I knew it wouldn't cost me more than I needed to be supported in learning to use it.
