bcFood by Beck Consulting is an enterprise resource planning system designed specifically to meet the needs of both small and large food manufacturers, processors, and distributors.

bcFood is built on Microsoft Dynamics NAV and support tools to manage financials, sales, inventory, purchasing, production, distribution and warehouse operations. The solution also supports multi-company, multicurrency, and multi-language requirements that exist within an organization and is configurable for 5 or 500 users. The system can be installed on-site, hosted or accessed from the cloud.

bcFood supports multi-level promotion offers for traders including order size based rebates, broker commission and royalties. Users can set up custom notifications in the form of pop up messages and emails that can be delivered to the concerned stakeholders when certain criteria are met. The built-in document management feature allows users to link files to NAV record and store essential documents in organized categories in a centralized repository.

The application also supports real-time visibility into all transactions and provides relational data models with paperless functionality.

    I would love to intoduce it to food company because it is easy to use.
    it gives solution to many businesses.
    they have instant chatting in their website if there are error they can help you with.

    you need to have training and have microsoft and have well knowlege of it.
    it is also safe to use no hackers or viruses.

    Seems to cater well to portable devices, drilldown visibility as well as ease of reporting capability.

    Cons

    Lack of control still seems to exist with NAV. While the program is easy to modify, that flexibility causes the system to not appear to be as robust as many other systems that I have utilized.

    With over 3,000 total customers and suppliers in our database, 1,200 + SKUs, and business being conducted within all time zones across six continents and in over 100 countries, the challenges to these business dynamics have been fully addressed through our Beck Consulting implementation of Microsoft Dynamics NAV. Prior to deploying Microsoft NAV 5.0 in 2008, our company was growing exponentially beyond the capability of our previous software solution provider - Exact Software (previously known as Macola), which included several external business flow processes that were being managed through spreadsheets, separate databases, and external add-on software. Beck Consulting has worked closely with Otis McAllister, Inc. for the past three years, offering solid, integrated solutions for our overall business process flow, including Trade Management, Electronic Data Interchange, Forecasting, Manufacturing, Accounting, and advanced analytical reporting through Microsoft SQL Reporting Services, not to mention the day-to-day operations associated with cost accounting, order entry, and inventory management. Having suffered greatly through one failed implementation of Dynamics NAV with another vendor, Beck Consulting was quick to provide corrective fixes and supportive training. Over the next 2-1/2 years of a heavily phased implementation, each phase was professionally assessed, proposed, designed, tested, expert transfer of knowledge (training) applied, and appropriate support/maintenance has been provided every step of the way. More importantly, as our company has grown over the past three years, Beck Consulting has been able to consult and provide solutions to fit our company's growth and unique business processes. Through our many years of usage, customization, enhancement, and support, Beck Consulting service has been much more than simply valued. They are our business partner in the purest sense. Their solutions have enabled us to become more efficient, allowed us to analyze data in a more meaningful way, and has helped us keep up with the fast-paced global business operation. Due to the inherent efficiencies realized through Microsoft Dynamics NAV and Beck Consulting support, we have been able to do more with less, and our hiring has been more focused on addressing the needs of the customer and vendor rather than on hiring people to support a software solution. Overall, running a global business is not an easy job; however, with the aid of Beck Consulting and Microsoft Dynamics NAV, the ease-of-use associated with day-to-day operations of our ERP system is never going to be easy, primarily due to the complexities associated with our very specific business flow processes... but those processes have been made much easier through our overall implementation. As a result, we are much more functional (enabled), and the product quality experienced to date reflects a level of respect and attention-to-detail to the business partnership that only Beck Consulting has been able to provide.
