The system is counterintuitive making our team, regardless of experience level, reliant on the Exenta team for guidance on processes, functionality, optimization, etc. We have requested one-on-one training on multiple occasions in which our staff, including our IT team, has been left with more questions and confusion than answers. When system functionality issues have been identified and support is requested, multiple emails and phone calls are required prior to any assistance being given regardless of the impact to our business. When we have escalated to higher management, improvements have been made however these have been short lived with no lasting improvement. At this point, we continue to use this program simply because we have invested a significant amount of time and resources in customizing it to meet our needs however, without immediate improvement in the level of service that we are provided, we will be cutting ties and finding more adequate solutions elsewhere. #### Vendor response Hi Lisa, Thank you for taking the time to submit your review. We were seeing an overall bottleneck in production that seemed to be getting a bit worse with time. ABS has changed the game for us. We are constantly improving/analyzing our business processes to more align with the ABS software, and it most definitely pays off in every aspect.As we progress through cleaning up our process internally and incorporating more and more of our day to day operations directly into ABS we see an immediate improvement to both production and efficiency.Another issue we were having is being able to have our data "visible" to the management team. It was very difficult to query information prior to ABS. When it was first implemented aver 20 years ago we were doing most of our process by hand manually. Since then we have been through several versions of the software and with every new version we are stunned at the level of development.ABS allows for automatically handling a TON of the small tasks that can eat away at overall productivity. The software is very easy to setup, although time-consuming because of the sheer volume of options you have to set this product up EXACTLY the way you want it to handle your companies needs, pretty much no matter what that looks like.The data in the system (sales, products, inventory, etc.) is more visible and accessible than any other MRP software I've ever encountered. If there is some data you are looking for chances are if you set it correctly, there is an option to retrieve it. #### Cons I wish there was a better way to handle Cut-Ahead items (and Piecework in general). No incentive was offered Over the past 10 years the overall experience had been really good. Centralizing all the data into one system has been extremely helpful with the exception of the financials. We had some system issues on speed which have recently been addresses and resolved. I am sure there are more features that can be launched or utilized so constant communication is important. We had a full blown operation so the fact that we had WMS integrated was awesome. System was pretty much easy to adapt to for most users. Easy interface and ability to limit users to modules they need. Reporting is good with the exception of some highly advanced reporting. Users want to run one report to obtain data and not several and have to put them together. Integration from a home grown 30 year old AS400 system was pretty good! #### Cons I think more top level reporting would be helpful or advanced reporting. We still pull multiple reports and have to combine them outside of Exenta. We need to work with your CS to see if any reports can actually do what we need as an all in one. We have looked to integrate with some external partners especially on the logistics side. We are a unique case in that ABS was highly customized for us when we implemented it over 20 years ago. We recently updated to v16. Navigation between screens is streamlined. It is nice to be able to toggle between two or more screens without exiting a screen. I love that we can pull up and print our own reports. #### Cons I would like to see more reporting options that are standard. I understand that nitro files can be downloaded and formatted but when there is a report consistently used, it would be nice to have that as a standard option. I used RLM in my previous position at another company. We started by using the back end functions for the production team then added the front end functions for the product development teams. I used it for 4 years and was the one who set up all of the graded templates for all of the different categories and size scales. I was pretty happy with the sales/support team. They were helpful with the training a later as problems arose. #### Ratings breakdown - Ease of use: 3/5 - Value for money: 3/5 - Customer support: 4/5 - Functionality: 3/5 #### Pros The best thing about RLM is that it has front end functions (product development, design, fit process, costing) as well as back end functions (ordering fabric, bulk fabric inventory, creating purchase orders, managing finished inventory, shipping). They're compatible and you are able to limit all of that data entry that you would need to do if they were separate. Also, all of your company's style info is stored in one place. #### Cons Building out the graded templates was soooo time consuming and the process was cumbersome.
